Tybalt, King of the Court of Dreaming Cats ([personal profile] notrequiredtomakesense) wrote in [community profile] entrancelogs2014-10-30 07:05 pm

My crown is called content, a crown that seldom kings enjoy [OTA]

Who: Tybalt and anyone who wants to come across him
Where: Wherever there's training dummies
When: October 30th
Rating: PG-13 because he's pissed.
Summary: So someone has had his mind messed with twice now. Tybalt is not happy and needs to destroy some shit.
The Story:

To borrow a mortal phrase, fuck this shit.

The first time, with the high school, could be ignored. It could easily be ignored. One time was a fluke. He wasn't prepared for it, had been caught off guard. After that though, Tybalt had been more or less on guard every time he saw one of the "locals" on the mirrors. Something was coming, and it might make him something he wasn't.

It didn't help. He'd been changed again, had his memories toyed with and replaced on a whim and oh, he was ready to kill something.

But he couldn't, not really. So instead he found a training room--the redhead, he'd known her as Natalie during the event, had mentioned something about training ages ago--and promptly set to work decimating training dummies. He was mostly human-looking right now, but his strength and speed weren't, if you knew what to look for.

[Hook isn't looking for anything in particular... just exploring. But when he pops his head in, the extra speed does catch his attention. He slips into the room and leans against the wall, arms crossed, just watching for now. He's not so foolish as to interrupt someone who looks to be in that sort of mood. He'll wait until there's a break in the action before saying anything.]
unhand: booze (the blame is on me)

Doubtful. I'm not really looking for help. [He pushes himself off the wall, fiddling lightly with his hook. A part of him wishes he still had the somewhat more modern prosthetic from the false Storybrooke, but more of him is glad to be back to himself. Full pirate coat and all. He ambles over to the murdered dummy.]

What'd this thing ever do to you?
unhand: (tongue time)

[personal profile] unhand 2014-11-03 07:03 am (UTC)(link)
That's me, aye. [He raises an eyebrow.] Yes, as in Captain. Who're you, then?
unhand: (dramatic)

Tyrand? [Killian raises an eyebrow, but he supposes he's heard stranger names.] You wouldn't last long in my world, if seeing stories come to life bothers you. Though in fairness, the stories they tell bear little resemblance to the truth.
unhand: (my ship I make the demands)

Rand. [Okay, that's worse. Not that Tyrand is a particularly nice sounding name, but Rand is just... not pleasant.] If you say so. The falsehoods in my tale are especially egregious.
unhand: (looking sharp)

[He's not wrong about either of those things.] I've yet to actually read the story, but I've heard enough to know that that's far from it. Besides this [He holds up his hook.] I'm not sure I have anything at all in common with my double.

[And that's on the wrong hand!]
unhand: (turning to face you)

Why in hell would I put Tinker Bell in a lantern? [He looks of horrified at the idea.] I don't need anything. Just noticing your remarkable speed and strength.
unhand: (This is looking like a contest)

[personal profile] unhand 2014-11-10 06:11 am (UTC)(link)
It'd have to be a bloody huge lantern. Those movies aren't worth much.

[Hook tilts his head back, smirking a bit.]

Just curious, is all. It's not how most humans move.

Please. This isn't my first sojourn in a magical realm. Werewolves and demons don't impress me anymore than fairies and mermaids do. Doesn't mean I don't get curious.

Thought the saying was it killed the cat.

[And what the hell do cats have to do with anything?]

Looks can be deceiving.

It's the speed that catches her attention. He's not nearly as fast as Tommy (then again, with the exception of Pietro Maximoff, she doubts anyone is), but there's something not quite normal, run of the mill human to his moves. She had come here to blow off some steam and do her best to forget about the whole wrongness that was her and Teddy in the event. Stupidly, she had thought the room would be empty.

She stands in the doorway as she watches the man move. When he finally takes a break, Kate gestures with with her bow towards some of the remaining dummies.

"Mind some company?"

"You know what? For your sake, I'm going to pretend that you never said that," Kate retorts as she makes her way inside the room. She tried the being polite route. Apparently, that didn't work.

"Besides, the gym offers work out options the range doesn't," she continues as she pulls an arrow from her quiver and notches it against the bow string. Standing around twenty feet from the target, she closes one eye and aims. She draws back and lets the arrow fly. It easily hits the center of the target. "I plan on making use of some of the punching bags, too."
tryit: ([serious] excuse me?)

it's half the fun, isn't it?

[personal profile] tryit 2014-11-09 11:24 pm (UTC)(link)
She pulls out another arrow from her quiver. It's clearly a practiced movement, one done many times before. Even the conversation - or debate, or whatever this is - doesn't phase her. She's had worse conversations with Clint while practicing in the past.

The arrow flies, landing precisely next to the previous arrow in the target. She relaxes her stance and places her free hand on her hip, turning to look at him.

"You were saying?"

She gives him a distinct look that clearly states just how much she believes him. All of very little. Kate's good at what she does and she knows it.

"It's not like there's a lot to do around here," she responds as she goes to fetch her arrows. "Besides, you never know what Wonderland's going to throw at you next. It's good to keep skills in check."
