[OPEN] Mermaid off the port bow!
Who: Ariel & YOU
Where: The Pool
When: December 1st, midday
Rating: PG (UNLESS YOU DO SOMETHING SCANDALOUS)
Summary: This isn't the ocean she was looking for! Actually it smells kind of chloriney....
The Story:
[ OPTION A - Arrival ]
She'd been close. She'd been so close to doing it! To fulfilling her goals, to keeping her prince, to being human. And yet, at the last minute, she was just a few seconds too late. A few seconds! No sooner had she gotten her tail back when Ariel was dragged up over the side of the ship and right back into the ocean. Except...
Except this is definitely not the ocean. She can tell that immediately by the smell, the taste, the way it feels against her skin. Blue eyes blink open to find herself surrounded by a whole lot of, well, blue. But it isn't the kind of blue she'd expect--it had been sunset, it was getting dark, but something about this felt artificial. Maybe it was the tile that seemed to be in every direction--no, wait it is in every direction. She spins around, looking each way for any sign of Ursula, of anything.
Nothing.
And when she looks up to the surface, she sees--she sees multiple suns. How is that possible??
Ariel quickly makes it to the surface and finds that, no, it sure isn't the sky but there are so many little round lights up ahead. But she's inside, yes, inside like she remembers some of the grand rooms of Eric's palace to be. There's a panic welling up in her chest. Where is this? Is it part of Ursula's spell?
"H-Hello??" She swims over to the edge of the large--what is it, some sort of stone container for water, like a large bath that she'd taken. There are a couple of doors that hang wide open, leading to some sort of hallway. "Is anyone there?"
[ OPTION B - Getting Settled...ish! ]
It's been a few hours and Ariel has realized she's not going anywhere any time soon. Eric is--he's back wherever she's supposed to be, along with the rest of her friends, the sea witch--everything she left unfinished. To say it's got her in a bit of a slump is an understatement. Ariel sits on the edge of the pool, tail dipped in the water, watching the ripples form around her as she gently sways it to-and-fro.
She sighs a little dramatically. "This isn't how things were supposed to go."
