Who: Sam, Mirror!Sam and You!
Where: Both sides of the Mirror
When: Duration of the event
Rating: PG-13 to R I imagine
Summary: Catch-all event post for Sam Yao and his mirror.
The Story:
Real Sam
He thought he'd be able to stay out of things, but that's never really been Sam's style. It's difficult to stay out of things when the last year of your life has involved very definitely getting involved in everything. Everything important anyway.
He starts with the familiar; caches of food and other supplies hidden at various points around the mansion and gardens for anyone to find. A few for himself. He'd rather not get caught short this time, not when that dream and had left a feeling of dread that pooled at the base of his neck and refused to leave.
And then came the messages on the mirrors and people vanishing.
The other side of the mirrors is as cool and alien and familiar as he remembers it being but this time the Mirrors aren't hunting them and there's terror everywhere.
He scrawls a note across a mirror as close to his room as he can, to warn them of where he is.
Mirror!Sam
The sword is gone. They've been tricked! Lied to. Betrayed. And if there's one thing that Sam hates, it's traitors. Monsters like that don't deserve the life the Queen gives them. But first the Jabberwocky has to be brought down. It's strong and fast and Sam sees other mirrors cut down and devoured until there's nothing left. And the sword sure as hell isn't here. So why not let the real thing fight instead while there's still work to be done.
[OOC: Both of them can be found in various places for the duration of the event! Let me know which side you'd like them on!]

He paused for a moment at the apology and nodded. "Just a little. That was um..." How do you tell someone that you're pretty sure they'd had fangs and glowing eyes a few moments ago without sounding like you were totally crazy? "It's fine. Everything's a bit crazy here I guess." You were never quite sure if you were talking to a friend or not.
"A couple of days."

He heard Sam halt his sentence and glanced up, looking the other boy over for a moment, assessing. "Everything here is a bit crazy, huh? But um... if you're worried about what uh... you think you saw? Don't worry. I won't hurt you. Just um, don't tell anyone? Please?" There. He was vague enough that he didn't entirely give himself away if Sam hadn't actually seen anything, but trying to be reassuring enough so that Sam didn't question himself, either.
"A couple days? Yeah, it's hard. But just keep ahead of the Jabberwocky and you should be good. I think the mirrors here are all too busy trying not to get eaten to really bother us much. Those that are still here, anyway."

He hesitated for a moment when Scott spoke. It didn't explain everything, it didn't explain anything except that he hadn't been imagining things. "I won't tell anyone, but... what was that?"
It definitely hadn't been human. And yet here Scott was, talking to him and looking no different to normal.
"I have noticed they seem less willing to play games this time. Thing it's different on the other side." Billy's mirror had definitely wanted to play games.

But when that question came up, he hesitated. Natasha and Billy knew. One guessed, the other caught him on the full moon. His mirror attacked and told Bucky. Castiel just... knew. He never liked the tension that came with that question. Whether someone would freak out or take it well was always up in the air.
"That, um. I'm from one of those worlds where supernatural stuff's real. I found that out the hard way. I'm a werewolf. But I'm in complete control of my shift, so you don't have to worry. I won't hurt you. You either learn to control it pretty quickly, or you don't make it long." The implications there are somewhat dark. "Me and my pack protect people against the stuff they don't know exists."
Uncomfortable subject out of the way, he does his best to move right along, "Yeah, I doubt mine's being very behaved over there. I hate that I know he's there but I can't do anything about it. Werewolves are like regular people--they used to be regular people. Well, some of them. But my point is, there are good and bad. He's the bad. Because of that, his shift looks different. Fortunately, he sucks at being me, so people should notice pretty quickly."
Wow, Scott. Have a casual conversation about werewolves with someone you barely know. But, right now, he didn't have the creativity or the energy to put on a front. And if, for some reason, they had to fight something, he wouldn't have to explain mid-battle.

"That sounds cool then. I mean, if you're not gonna attack people, it's not a problem." They were good werewolves, fighting off the darkness and that was something that Sam could really get behind! "And I do come from a zombie apocalypse world so the fact you aren't trying to eat me is already a point in your favour."
He grimaced at the thought of what the mirrors could be getting up to. "I dunno what mine's like but I'm not convinced it can be anything good. Let's hope they can take care of themselves over there."

Scott relaxed and smiled, feeling a little foolish about being apprehensive to begin with. His own mother had been afraid of him at first, but this made him a little less worried. "Nah, I won't attack anyone." Zombie apocalypse, though... it was his turn to stare. "That's..." Amazing? Terrifying? He really wasn't quite sure which. No, it wouldn't be fun to live it, at all. So he settles on, "terrifying. Wow, I thought we were messed up with werewolves and werelzards and wendigos. I think Zombies take the weirdness cake. I'll never try to eat you, I promise!"
He nodded, agreeing with that sentiment entirely. "Yeah, they don't seem to be good at all. My best friend's was actually something we fought back home. I should've known better than to be tricked by it again, but I just didn't expect it." Yep, the Kitsune pulled one over on him in Wonderland, too, last time the mirrors got loose. "From what I've seen, most of our people are over here anyway, so we might not have to worry about the mirrors going after them." Not that that thought was much more comforting.

Mind controlled zoms were the absolute worst.
He shudders, the idea of that was just awful. He'd had to see friends become zombies, but it wasn't like you could have a conversation with them. It wasn't like they could lie to you. "That's horrible. It's... I don't like the idea of someone who looks like me running around either." He still worried about that. "Well... at least we can probably replace most stuff when we get back."

"Yeah... it's not a great experience." He admits and gives the door behind him a wary glance. "You haven't had any issues other than the Jabberwocky, right? At the risk of sounding like a horror movie red shirt, it's too quite."

Sam shook his head, although one problem came to mind. "Not here, no. It's been pretty quiet."
