[Open!]
Who: Souji [
eatsyourscience], Tohru [
breakthecurse], and EVERYONE!
Where: The Diner
When: December 26
Rating: PG at most, likely
Summary: Christmas chicken and cake has to be a little late this year, but Souji and Tohru aren't balked by that.
The Story:
This year is the second annual KFC Christmas in Wonderland. At least, it was planned to be. The Jabberwocky, Mirror switching, and Souji's amnesia caused a slight delay, but when everything went back to normal last night, he remembered his and Tohru's plans.
They convened in the diner this morning to get things ready before setting a signboard and the Colonel (plus twinkling fairy lights) outside the door to advertise the post-Christmas special.
Fried chicken (with Souji's best approximation of the 11 herbs and spices), a few appropriate sides, and plenty of Christmas cake complete the menu today. Cocoa, coffee, tea, and various other drinks are available.
Come on in! Feel free to use this log to mingle.

They could have the Christmas party on the 26th. A day wouldn't make a difference, if it meant being able to celebrate with everyone happy and well. It could still be Christmas, since theirs was spoiled by fighting a monster.
Things have had to be a little rushed this year, so Tohru is still decorating the tops of Christmas cakes, but there's a calm to everything now that Wonderland's version of the holidays feels over.
"I'm really glad you're okay, Souji," she says abruptly, since it's been on her mind in the last few minutes. "It wouldn't have been the same without you."

Minato peeked inside the diner. It would get busy soon enough. Souji had mentioned that this was happening, and had invited him to stop by. Therefore Minato did as he didn't want to miss it either. No one would want to pass up food, especially if Souji was cooking.
Thus after a moment or two, almost like psyching himself up, he entered the diner. It smelled good in here, as it always did. It just felt festive too. He didn't take a seat yet, still looking around at any other decorations and he would wait to see if he could catch someone that he knew here.

Normally Armin goes to the kitchen or dining room to get his food-- whatever seems the least intrusive at the time. He's a rare visitor to the Diner because being served and waited upon feels so strange to him. But today he can't help it; the aroma of cooking and the weird, lighted man with a beard standing outside both take advantage of Armin's natural curiosity, and he steps in.
It's rather like the mansion had been decorated, but a little more tasteful. He looks around, wide-eyed and wondering where to sit.

“Well, this is… unexpectedly festive.” He’s still grinning at the Colonel back over his shoulder as he steps into the room.

He doesn't approach anyone right away; he's back to wearing the long, black coat he'd favored before all of the soul loss shenanigans began, hands sunk deep into his pockets as he lurks near the door, darkly watching those assembled with some degree of hesitation. To go in, or not?
Eventually, he does, cautiously approaching the counter. His presence isn't a welcome one, and maybe it never will be again, but Christmas seems as good a time as any to make amends with someone, doesn't it? Especially now that his heart is back in his chest where it supposedly belongs. Not beating, of course-- but it's there.
He looks anxious as he searches for any sign of either Tohru or Souji-- he has a good deal to say to both of them, all things considered, but he doesn't expect to be well-received.
