Summary: It’s movie night! Cuddle up with your sweetheart and get ready to watch the most romantic movie series of all time: Star Wars!
The Story:


Billy and Teddy have worked very hard to make this Valentine’s Day special. The Movie Theatre has taken on a complete make-over. The ceiling has been transformed into a spiraling galaxy (thanks to Billy), whose stars dim when the film begins playing. Squashy stars and planets take the place of the pillows that normally adorn the area. If you look closely, you might find a Tauntaun blanket that you can use to snuggle with your sweetie.

Your hosts have taken the theme to the extreme, even going as far as dressing up. Teddy looks much like a young Han Solo, complete with blaster on his hip. Billy appears far more refined, enrobed in Jedi attire he looks much like Ewan McGregor’s Obi-Wan Kenobi. The lightsaber at his hip is a startling replica - it looks and sounds much like the original. The only thing it doesn’t do is cut - thanks, Teddy - so it is safe for mock Light Saber battles.

Speaking of which, Billy has spent a lot of time crafting lightsabers as party favors! They are over in a strangely cleared out section of the theatre. There is a sign next to the lightsabers instructing those who are interested to sign-up for the Jedi vs. Sith duels that will take place during the thirty minute intermission between each film.

As far as snacks go, guests will be treated to a variety of Star Wars themed noshes. Han Solo carbonite bars of chocolate, wookie cookies, cupcakes decorated with lightsabers, Darth Vader Lolly-pops - even the popcorn has been dusted with a variety of colors to form “galaxy corn”. Feel free to take what you like - the food is there for all to enjoy!

The boys can be found mingling through the movies, although don’t be surprised if they disappear once or twice during the film. It is Valentine’s Day after all!

When Claire had told him about this "movie marathon," Alex wasn't sure what to expect. He certainly wasn't expecting the ceiling to look like the night sky-- and indoors, no less. He'll never cease to be surprised by Wonderland (because as far as he's aware, this is just what this room looks like normally). He walks in with Claire on his arm, too amazed by the sight of the room to really understand what he's gotten himself into.

I am the actual worst for not tagging this. I'm sorry!

If Claire was being honest, she hadn't much of a clue as to what the night would entail. The movie titles were unfamiliar to her but from what she could tell, they were significant to a few people here.

All she can do is follow Alex's line of sight and look up at the ceiling with quiet awe; Claire didn't believe it was possible and yet, there it was. She turns to Alex before they find a place to sit, smiling at him.

"Isn't this incredible?"

Nothing says Valentine's quite like a fantastic movie marathon. Seriously, best trilogy ever. She'd been tempted to dress up like Leia, put her dark hair in those cinnamon buns on the side of her head... but no. She chose to settle for something a little more subtle. Maybe, maaaaaaaaaaybe someone can talk her into it between movies.

Right now, she's just a little too excited to see if Billy pulled off her mood lightsaber. Which means, she's totally signing up for the duels because bad ass.

She can be found bopping around and setting up her own little spot to settle in for the movies. She may or may not have brought a flask - it is technically a not-official holiday, after all.

[ perhaps he's here with Jane, though they'll be celebrating later anyway. but he wanted to look in on Billy and Teddy, and there is certainly a fine chance to catch up with Darcy here. ]

Because please, Darcy, like Dean won't notice the shirt or flask. His tone is light though, teasing seeing as he's just as excited about seeing good old Star Wars as she is. It's a familiarity from home that he hasn't realized he's missed-- and what's more, it's just a damn good trilogy. Now hopefully they'll only stick to three original movies and not the trash that had come after.

There's a glance around, but then he's looking at her again.

"Good to see people here. Though m'not surprised to see this draw such a crowd."

Billy made his way over to Darcy during an intermission after she had found the LIGHTSABER specially crafted for her. He was eager to hear her thoughts on it. He couldn't get it to link up with her mood but it would change colors sporadically and in a random order.

"So, how'd I do?"

Sam arrives a little before the thing starts. He had promised to help set up after all. Admittedly Billy and Teddy seem to have managed most things on their own and it looks fantastic. All that's left really is for Sam to help make sure there's enough piles of beanbags and cushions for everyone.

It's been ages since he saw these films, and he can generally be found curled up on a pile of cushions watching. And of course he signs up for the lightsaber battles because who in their right minds wouldn't?

Lightsaber Duel!

Teddy makes his way over to the lightsaber table just in time to see Sam signing the sheet. It's still early and the movies aren't scheduled to start until more people show up which gives Teddy the perfect opportunity to challenge Sam to a duel. He taps Sam on the shoulder and grins wickedly.

"Can I have the honor of challenging you to a pre-show duel?" he asks, hands on his hips in a decidedly Han Solo-esque swagger.

Somewhere during the first movie Billy flops down next to Sam with a plate of snacks. He grins over at him, glad he's here and glad he helped decorate. He had been giving Sam and Teddy some space to hang out, duel each other with lightsabers without getting in the way. But Teddy was off talking to someone and Billy decided that was enough space for now.

"Hi, Sammy. Wookie cookie?" he asks holding the plate out to his friend.

Alana had been initially concerned when Billy appeared on the network with lightsabers. Living in Wonderland, where reality seemed at times to be an afterthought, there was the real chance that someone might get hurt. But Billy had assured her that they were fake, and Alana had somehow been talked into showing up.

She'd been in college last time she'd attended something like this, and she was finding the nostalgia not too unpleasant. Hannibal's dinner parties were a little more sophisticated, true... but this was nice too, in it's own way.

Given that it was Valentine's Day, she'd definitely be leaving early. Some things she was happy to leave to the young and drunk. But while she was here, she was going to enjoy her night. With Wonderland being the way it was, the odds were they'd wake up tomorrow to find giant insects around the place.

A fan of Star Wars but not of large groups, Ned thought he might inconspicuously sneak into the back of the theatre for a viewing of one of his favorite film franchises. Valentine's Day is, traditionally, the sort of holiday when he would become exceptionally busy, but any and all lovebirds in the Mansion seem to be occupying themselves with things other than pie and he's accepted the break without much complaint.

Moving through the dimly-lit room - the first movie hasn't started but he's perfectly content lurking by the door - Ned accidentally bumps into someone and very nearly spins away with an apology on-hand.

"Sorry! Sorry."

Steve has already seen the Star Wars films. Only the first three, though, as he'd been told very specifically to skip the others and had made the careful decision to not ask why. People got pretty worked up about their pop culture and it was usually not worth the argument or the rant. The point being, he doesn't have to attend this party for the sake of educating himself, and yet he decides to go anyway.

For one thing, Billy and Teddy are throwing it, and while they're not from his world, they are related to him in some way. They know another version of him, and Steve almost feels that he'd be letting them down if he didn't show his face. For another, this is Valentine's Day, and while the event was put together for that reason, it doesn't seem to require a date. Lydia's got something else going on, but that sounds more formal, whereas Steve just wants the opportunity to take his mind off of everything for a few hours.

He doesn't have a date, which normally wouldn't bother him, but it's complicated in a way that Facebook statuses could only hope to achieve. If Bucky even remembers what Valentine's Day is, Steve would call that a miracle -- but even if he does, he's in no position to do anything about it. They'd only been a real couple for a few weeks, and yet somehow Steve still feels the absence.

Peggy is here too, but she's been in the mansion for less than ten days, and Steve hasn't even begun to breach the status of his relationship with her. They'd never been official, not during the war, and his crash into the Arctic had severed all of their chances. They might be able to make something happen here, but Steve has no idea how to fit Bucky into that. It would feel wrong to simply cast him aside because Peggy's here, but Steve's not sure how to begin explaining all of that.

In other words, he enters the theater alone, taking a moment to look around at everything that's been themed for the sake of the event. The pillows, the ceiling, the lightsabers -- it's all a nice touch. Steve doesn't take a lightsaber for himself (blades, even beamed sci-fi ones, aren't really his thing), but he does gather a ludicrous amount of food onto a plate before he scans the room for a place to sit, somewhere out of the way.

He doesn't expect Bucky or Peggy to come to something like this, for their own separate reasons, and so he doesn't look for them. But he wouldn't mind taking the time to chat with another friend, depending on who shows up.

Holy God, that man is gorgeous.

Thankfully Cami has enough self-awareness to a) not openly stare and b) give her mind plenty of time to process that thought before she actually makes any attempt at conversation. Given the fact that he sits by himself and out of the way of the main crowd, Cami's guessing he's there for reasons pretty similar to her own: distraction from everything they've been taught this day is supposed to be about. The thing about that, however, is that distractions aren't a surefire solution. Sometimes they grant a person time enough to work through their problems, sure. Other times, their only value is in what is meant by the name.

Either way, for Cami, the best distractions come from helping others. For all its insanity Wonderland also has a surprising number of normal people with normal problems, and that's been her calling for a long time.

Plus? He really is that hot.

"Hey there. Enjoying the movies?" She waits until the end of the first to make her introduction; the only real planned activity seems to be the duels, which Cami hasn't signed up for herself. If this guy has then hey, no big deal. An introduction doesn't take that long, and Cami holds out her hand. "We haven't met before. I'm Cami."

So when you're in a not-well-defined relationship with an frequently paranoid, sadistic vampire-werewolf hybrid, clearly the perfect way to spend Valentine's Day is at classic sci-fi movie marathon, right? Right. Honestly, Cami's just hoping to get away from it all for a little while by losing herself in lighthearted geeky fun. And it certainly seems this is the place to do it; whoever Billy and Teddy are, they've really pulled out all the stops on this thing. A lot of love has gone into setting it all up, and even if she's not a hardcore fan, Cami still can't help smiling as she takes it all in.

Throughout the day, Cami will try a bit of--well, most things. The food table is fair game, although she'll have to be talked into any sort of duel. Not that a lack of official participation is going to stop her from playing with one of the lightsabers at some point. Who could honestly resist when the things even make the sounds?

All in all, it's perfect. Even without a significant other there to cuddle with--maybe especially without one--Cami's sure she's going to have a good time.

Billy was never really the outgoing type, he tried to keep to himself in high school trying not to draw attention to himself for bullies and then once he joined the Young Avengers he never really felt like he could connect to someone if they didn't really know who he was. Besides he had his friends, his team, and he was happy with them.

Wonderlabd changed that. Somehow here he became the one that made friends and didn't care if people knew who or what he was or not (to an extent at least). Maybe it was because there were so many people here with powers or who were supernatural, or maybe because here he didn't feel the need to hide. Whatever it was it was the reason he walked right up to Cami to introduce himself, plate of food in hand.

"Hey, Wookie Cookie?" He asked offering the plate to her.

Henry almost doesn't come, not sure about the whole 'Valentine's Day' thing since he doesn't have a date. But he does love the movies, and he liked watching Sharknado with everyone. So he's decided to show up and if nothing else, just watch movies and zone out a little. He's not a shy kid, but he's quiet now, in the wake of finding out his grandmother's gone. So many things happened all at once, and he can talk to his family about it but right now, he kind of just wants to forget about it.

Not think, watch movies, eat food. That's his list of priorities right now. But, that being said, he's also willing to chat with anyone who might plop down next to him while he snacks.

Teddy notices the kid sitting by himself, watching the movie. No one should be alone, not even kids, so Teddy grabs a plate full of Wookie Cookies and a small lightsaber. He carries it over to Henry and sits down next to him, offering him the plate.

"Hey, did you see there are Wookie Cookies?"

Thor was enchanted by the premise -- a movie of the stars? -- and then also concerned... he's had enough of war. But he also came hoping to catch up with their hosts. He does not know Loki's friend and Loki's friend's paramour as well as he ought.

He's spent most of the day in Jane's company; this is probably not an exception! But he would be here regardless. He'll be back with her after the movie, if nothing else.

Steve isn't expecting to see Thor here, and that alone makes him wander over, holding a plate piled with food -- most of it unhealthy, but what else is Valentine's Day for?

If there's anyone who knows less about modern day Earth than Steve, then it's Thor. Granted, Steve's made leaps and bounds in that department over the past few years, whereas Thor's been busy in Asgard.

For example: Steve's seen this already. It's going to be a second viewing for him, whereas he gets the feeling this will all be brand new to his teammate.

He takes a seat by him on the couch and smiles in greeting. "Is this your first time watching Star Wars?"

[Carol loves Star Wars. The only good thing about losing all her memories (again) is that it meant she got to watch it again for the first time. How many people get to do that? She'd even been surprised at the I-Am-Your-Father twist. For those few hours, losing her memories had almost not seemed like such a bad thing.

Almost.

Anyway, she remembers them now, but she only remembers watching the movies once. She can't recite every line. There are plenty of details that escape her. It's not quite the same as watching an old favorite, but it's almost there. It makes her miss her own fuzzball, and her friends that all gathered to watch it with her, but hell, maybe she can make new friends. Star Wars is a good way to do it. People who love it are usually good people, in her experience.

She settles on the couch with popcorn and firmly doesn't allow herself to think too much about what day it is. She's pretty sure she and Rhodey qualify as on a break when they're not in the same galaxy, but she still misses him. She doesn't let it show, though, laughing and joking with whoever wants to approach her. She's here to watch Star Wars, dammit, and she's going to enjoy it.]

[She remembers seeing Carol spending a lot of the New Year's party on her own, sitting at the bar and drinking coke and people-watching. Granted, sitting and watching is what going to the movies is all about, but she still figures it's good to be friendly. She'd liked Carol.]

Naturally, the first thing she does is beeline it toward the light sabers, because of course she would. Anyone who doesn't clearly needs to be shown the light...or the Force, in this instance.

After grabbing her prize, she gets a couple of snacks in hand and settles down for movie night, glancing around for any familiar faces or even just friendly faces to share the experience with.

Ten days had passed since she'd arrived and already she was feeling the almost nauseating realisation that she was stuck. Attempts to leave the mansion grounds had barely gotten her anywhere, and she was constantly aware that something was watching her. She'd turned the mirrors in her rooms around so they faced the walls, using them only when necessary because it was infuriating to look into a reflection that she intellectually knew wasn't really her. Divorcing over twenty years of reality from her present situation, however, was easier said than done.

Which was why she'd come here to an improbable cinema filled with impossible people to watch a film that wasn't even created yet by her reckoning. It was like driving a wedge between two train cars; one being her life before, the other being her new life here. Peggy liked to think she was good at locking doors behind her, and while her worry for the SSR and the looming threat of Leviathan still plagued her, she could push it back now that her attention was needed elsewhere.

It was just harder to do when she walked into a room and saw Steve's face barely illuminated by the glow of the screen.

Peggy couldn't quite face him yet, so she stole off to the side to wait out the first of the films. It was fascinating in its own absurd way and she stood at the edge of the party, watching the participants as much as the battle raging on screen. If there was one thing she knew, however, it was that she couldn't look more out of place if she tried in her knee-length blue skirt and suit jacket. Out of habit, she'd dressed as if she were going to work - typical attire for the 1940s - forgetting that today was now the 2000s. With the film already going, however, she'd have to wait until it ended to slip out and change. So she resigned herself to watch it, occasionally fidgeting with the straps of her small handbag.

Shocking as it might be, Steve didn't notice when Peggy stepped into the room. To his credit, it was dark and there was a lot happening on the screen, enough that it completely held his attention. That had been the whole point of this, after all, to distract himself, and so he didn't take a look around the room until the movie had come to an end and there was an intermission.

Steve spent a few minutes meeting and chatting with a nice girl named Cami, and then he stepped away in search of more food. He'd already gone through a plate of snacks, but when you had to eat four times as much as everyone else, it was pretty much a constant thought.

It was on his way to the snack table to get some popcorn that he spotted Peggy seated in the corner, dressed in a style that he hadn't seen in years, except for maybe in Evelyn. He stopped in his tracks, a deer in headlights, because he wouldn't have expected her to come here. He'd thought about dropping some flowers off at her room earlier in the day, but he wasn't sure it would have been appropriate.

Well, it looked like they were going to spend some time together either way. Steve gathered up his courage and walked over to take a seat next to her. He quirked a smile. "Enjoying it so far?" he said with a nod toward the screen.

It's a point of pride, sort of. He'd had to leave mid-way through the last movie night thanks to an angel, and it's worth showing he won't be scared off again.

... And he'd actually liked Star Wars once.

That had been a long time ago, but it's a little bit of nostalgia that isn't so painful he needs to drown himself in alcohol in order to stomach it. Memories that aren't painful are rare--rare enough to indulge when they come along. Until someone takes it, Adam stretches his legs out on the unclaimed chair in front of him, forgoing the snacks and the props to just sit and watch for a while.

[Considering she'd been miniature sized before. That was 80 different kinds of awkward. She settles next to him, offering her flask. Yup, she definitely doesn't half ass her Star Wars movie marathons.]

She was here to keep up appearances. It had nothing to do with curiosity for the decades of cinema she'd missed. Really. If anything, it's just so she can say she's seen the stupid movies.

Mystique exhaled sharply through her nose as she stepped into the doorway, glancing around blandly. Her lips immediately curled when she spotted Carol--and she's nearly tempted to change form--but that would be cowardly. So, she entered the room all blue and bad, standing in the back away from the main action. Last thing she needs is to see wandering hands.

From there, she blinked slowly at the screen, taking it all in. Time to see what she's missed since the 60s, back when she began to care less and less about human entertainment.

This had better be worth it.

Late to his own party. Oops?

Billy spent the day, or rather the entire week leading up to this, pulling decorations from the closets and setting the room up. By the time they were finished decorating he had probably driven Sam and Teddy crazy but he wanted this to be perfect. He wasn't entirely sure why, he hadn't been this worried when they threw the Sharknado movie night, but it was a good distraction, getting lost in trying to make the ceiling look like a swirling Galaxy in space. Better than thinking about things he didn't want to think about, like dying.

But it was Valentine's Day, and Teddy was back to normal and Sam was here, and his favorite movies were on so he wasn't going to dwell on any of that. He was spending the night having fun and mingling.

He signed himself up for lightsaber battles if anyone wants to duel. Or he's flopped himself across two seats and is enjoying the movies with snacks.

Teddy appeared just as the Empire attacked Hoth, lifting Billy's legs and sitting down on the seat before settling Billy's legs back on his lap. He reached over and grabbed a handful of popcorn out of the bowl that was perched on Billy's stomach and grinned.

"I think we can say this is a success," he whispered softly. "And your lightsabers are a big hit. I think you're going to end up with special requests soon."

Adam bounces into the room wearing a Darth Vader helmet and a cape. It's all very cool, but the helmet is also hot and makes it hard for people to hear what he's saying, so it only lasts so long before it's propped up on top of his head like a hat. Still, it's a great entrance.

He's helped himself to a lightsaber and a pile of unhealthy snacks that would have Mr. Young making disapproving noises at Billy and Teddy if he were here. But no one has the power to ground Adam in Wonderland (or tell him he can have one dessert, not twelve), so Adam is taking full advantage.

Billy had seen Adam enter and had to admit it was a pretty great entrance. Once he pulls his helmet back Billy recognizes him from the network and makes his way over when he gets a chance.

"Hey! You made it. Nice costume, but I think this means we're supposed to fight."

[For as many bad memories as last year's Valentine's Day left her with, Jo is beyond glad to have a distraction in the form of a Star Wars marathon. She, like Charlie, has opted to dress up as everyone's favorite space smuggler -- she's pretty sure they'll see at least half a dozen Han Solo costumes by the time the day is out, in fact. For the most part, she'll be relaxing and enjoying the movies, armed with popcorn and whatever else she can snag from the snack table, sticking close to Simon or visiting with friends here and there.

Between the first and second movie, she makes her way over to the area that's been cleared for lightsaber battles, Wookie Cookie in one hand and specially-made lightsaber in the other. She grins, carefully twirling it in her right hand as the blade extends, bright pink and leaving a trail of glitter and hearts when it moves. Normally, pink wouldn't have been her first choice, but today she's more than okay with it, especially since, apparently, this particular lightsaber had been 'commissioned' for her.]

You know, I never would have said this before Wonderland, but it's awesome having wizards for friends.

[She's not sure how impressed James would be by a lightsaber, but she'll be showing him Billy's magical handywork later regardless.]

[ Gee, Bucky wishes he knew about this compulsive need to dress up like fictional characters for film events like this. He so would have come as Luke, because Luke is cool!! Oh well. Instead, he's just boring looking with his fatigues and white undershirt that does a poor job hiding the fat bandage over his neck.

Not that that's going to stop him from rounding on Jo when her boyfriend's off elsewhere. Nothing wrong with a little harmless flirting shush! ]

[It's been awhile now since it's been made official, but Emma has gotten used to being the one responsible to help a certain pirate captain become better-acquainted with the modern world. Valentine's Day was a given, yet one more holiday for him to be introduced to, and Star Wars? Definitely a part of that. On top of being a classic, one of the stars of it is, in a way, her namesake-- a reference he hadn't gotten at the time when aliases had been a necessity for the both of them, but today would change that.

Besides. It's not exactly a hardship. Emma definitely loves her some Star Wars.

She shows up sometime before the first movie starts with Hook on her arm, jerking her head towards the snack table. Always the first order of business.]

Looks like they're really embracing the theme, here.

[Nothing wrong with that at all. For the most part, she'll be settled in to watch the movies, but she'll also be spectating should any lightsaber duels take place, and, quite possibly, taking part in one herself. She'll also be available to chat between films, provided Hook is willing to share her.]

Aye... [Killian helps himself to a gummy jabba and chews on it as he takes in the sights. He understands that both this day and this movie are important to Emma, and he's happy to share it with her, but he's still wary. Perhaps because so many people are dressed in outfits that seem outlandish even by his standards. It's just all so... big.]

[Killian is here because his girlfriend made him come. That means he has absolutely no idea what's in store for him. He knows Emma likes it, and so he's not really questioning it too hard. He finds it enjoyable, though like so many things in the modern world, he has a lot of trouble understanding it. He's also not entirely sure how much of it is an actual reality in the world without magic and how much of it is just made up. It's pretty hard to tell.

Towards the end of Empire Strikes Back, he sits up straight. When it ends, he looks worried.]

Darth Vader must be lying, right? He can't truly be Luke's father...

[He can also be found making disgusted noise when he realizes Luke and Leia are related or whispering (not particularly quietly) that Emma's a prettier Princess Leia. He's a little biased, perhaps.]
