WHO: Michael
what_he_needs and Gabriel
low_key_angel;
WHERE: Rm. 529, maybe elsewhere;
WHEN: After the last event, before this one;
RATING: Pg, will update as needed;
SUMMARY: Michael and Gabriel meet up;
It wouldn't take him long to get to the other angel's room, just a few steps down the hall from his own and he was there. They were conveniently located near each other, and Wonderland was seemingly quite confined, yet, he didn't run into the angel very often. A problem Michael was going to remedy. Which he would have made the effort sooner, but the last event had left him two foot tall and blue. It was strange, having been a puppet, but the archangel put it behind him and went in search of better things than moping or hiding away to occupy his time.
That would be Gabriel.
He was easy to get along with, in Michael's opinion, and he knew anything involving the other angel would be nowhere near boring. Toeing Cat back into his room, he shuts the door, walks a few feet, and knocks. Michael didn't know if Gabriel was in there, but it was a good first place to try, and Wonderland wasn't so large that he'd never find him. Stepping back from the door, arms at his side, he waits for the other to answer.

Michael sighs, and takes a few steps further into Gabriel's room. He'd never been in here before, and, though they knew each other a little bit now, the two angels didn't know so much about each other for Michael to make any assumptions as to his taste or personality. Was the way the room was setup typical for Gabriel? Michael didn't know. He assumed so, but he couldn't be sure.
"I could stand to be a little more curious about the closets."
There were a lot of things about Wonderland that he was interested in learning more of, how to get home for instance, but the closets never struck him.

Gabriel grins easily at the admission. They've already discovered quite a bit together. "The place has potential to at least keep us entertained. Well. When it's not trying to kill us anyway."
But he ignores the closet for now. Michael is here and he'd much rather pay attention to him. "So. What brings you here? Just passing through?"
no subject
Partially because he was curious about how Gabriel was doing, and the other part because he liked being around the other angel. It wasn't difficult being near him, and was both stressful and relaxing at the same time. He was as exuberant as Michael was not, and he enjoyed the contrast.
"We are practically neighbors, yet, I find I hardly ever come here. I thought I'd change that."
no subject
A wave of his hand sends most of the materials he'd pulled out of the closet back in, closing the door with a wave of grace.
"Well you know how the saying goes. Mi casa es su casa. Or something like that."
no subject
"Thank you, Gabriel. Should I sit?"
He gestures around the room, but doesn't know where Gabriel wants him.
"Could you tell me about yourself. Something I'm not aware of, I am not picky. I would reciprocate of course."
no subject
"Something about me huh?" An odd question, but interesting. Gabriel can't really recall the last time someone asked him about himself, not really. He could evade, come up with some flip reply, but that wouldn't be fair to either of them.
"Even if the gates of Heaven were opened just for me, I don't think I'd go back again. And I'm not saying that just because back home I'm apparently a beat away from getting shanked. I'm more at home on Earth."
no subject
"I never thought I'd hear an angel say that. It's not a very common opinion, not where I'm from."
He pauses, eyes narrowing, lips pursed and thoughtful.
"I'd go back, I think. If Father were there, and I could speak to him again. But, I like it on Earth. I like the humans. If it were a choice between one or the other, I don't think I'd go."
Michael couldn't say for sure until directly faced with such a choice, but as it stands, that's what he thought he might do. Sighing, he looks back up at Gabriel.
"I find comfort in knowing that the humans of your world had you there with them."

The moment Michael settles on the floor, Gabriel slides out of his own chair. He’d prefer to be closer, to have them on the same level. Michael is open and responsive and he likes that about this almost brother of his. “Yeah. But I’m pretty sure ours isn’t coming back. Given how badly things have gone since he walked? He’d have to be crazy to want to come back to that disaster.” Civil war, rebellion, prisons in Heaven. There wasn’t laughter or joy – there was only silence and duty and Gabriel hated it.
He quirks a faint grin. “They might not have. I hid out with the pagans, became a trickster god. Had to go all witness protection so I didn’t get dragged back to Heaven in custom built chains.” A rolled shoulder. “But I finally stood for them when it mattered, for all of five minutes or so before I bought the proverbial farm.”
“What about you? Your world? You protected the humans, right?”
no subject
"A trickster god." Michael's face scrunches, amused, and he wants to know more about that, but they had time for that later. "I tried, was still trying when I was brought here."
Michael hadn't done as good a job as he had wanted to do. "Gabriel was more successful in his efforts, than I was with mine."
no subject
"Sometimes that's all we can do. Give it a shot and see what happens."
Gabriel doesn't want to ask - he's seen enough of his alternate self in action that whatever he was doing back home? Chances are it wasn't pretty. There were too many echoes of Lucifer in his actions and words.
"So what do you do with him now?"
no subject
Gabriel had a little more control than he did, but his twin was just as guilty of starting things as he was. It made for uncomfortable situations, them both being here, and so closely confined.
"It is hard, though, if I may be so honest. He doesn't understand, and I have tried to explain it to him."
He sighs, sitting forward slightly.
"Wonderland is almost like limbo, a purgatory if you will. It is neither heaven nor hell, yet it is both for some of us. When we go back, we won't remember any of this, and it will be like it never happened. Any amends or coming to terms, growth or set backs, it will all mean nothing."
no subject
"Angels are monumentally dense for the most part." Present company excluded, naturally. "Change comes, but not easily. It's a friggin miracle that the other Michael," not his Michael, "and Lucifer haven't obliterated the place just to settle an old pissing contest."
Gabriel grimaces, shifting closer until their knees are touching. "Yeah, and I'm living proof of that. This is my second time around and I don't remember a damned thing about it."
no subject
He slowly turns his hand over, so that Gabriel's fingers are touching his palm, and he wraps his own fingers around the angel's hand.
"I wasn't here the first time you were, but I'm am pleased that we are both here now."
Michael leans forward, and lays his other hand over Gabriel's knee.
"And I'm glad I came here today."
no subject
He also likes how quietly bold Michael can be. Sure, he looks reserved and at times a little unsure, but if you asked the right questions, that decisiveness was an absolute turn on. Which is probably why Gabriel leans in close to meet him.
"Ditto on both counts." And with that, he closes the distance to kiss him again.
no subject
Not just because he was kissing him, but because good company was hard to find.
Michael slides his hands up Gabriel's thighs, and he moves, carefully and with direct purpose, coming to his knees while never breaking the kiss. He grips Gabriel's sides, firm but not painful, and pulls him up with him. Now that they were both kneeling, and Michael was closer, he parts his lips and pulls Gabriel to him.
no subject
Gabriel goes with him easily, his arms sliding around the very firm, very compact body of the archangel and deepens the kiss as he's pulled in. He's also very relieved that he doesn't have to break the kiss for anything as mundane as breathing. Giving up even an inch of contact simply isn't an option.
no subject
"Gabriel."
He sighs his name out, and then brings his hands up to his chest. Firm, he pushes the angel back towards his bed.
no subject
Gabriel drops back towards the bed when he's pushed, dragging Michael down over him. He laughs against his lips, fingers sifting through short dark hair and returning the kiss with equal heat. It was the first time he'd shared intimacy with another angel and frankly, he couldn't wait.
no subject
It wasn't something he often experienced, amusement, but Gabriel was more often than not just that. He, too, didn't mind the way the day was going.
He lets Gabriel pull him down, but doesn't immediately press their bodies flush. Michael kisses the angel a moment, then slips his arm under his back and raises him slightly, pushing him further to the center of the bed. Then he settles over him, off to the side, a hand running over his chest as he begins to kiss him again.
no subject
He shifts easily where he's pulled, reaching up to hook an arm around his neck and drag Michael closer. Gabriel sifts his fingers through Michael's hair with a pleased sound. A beat later his wings appear, bronze and etherial, shifting to wrap around them both.
no subject
He forgets the kissing, and the way their bodies had begun to move against each other, and focuses on them for moment. Michael reaches out, brushing them tentatively, and then tilts his head down to look at the angel beneath him. He's surprised by the gesture, and pleased, so he quickly presses his mouth to Gabriel's, showing him what he thought of what he'd done.
no subject
He grins wickedly into the kiss, dragging him closer and letting his hands drag down the long muscles of his back.
no subject
"Gabriel," he mutters out in between kisses.
He shifts his hips, giving him more room to push Gabriel's shirt up further. Michael tips his head slightly to the right, and tugs at the angel's lower lip when his, sucking gently for a moment before dragging the tip of his tongue along his bottom lip.
no subject
"Entirely too many clothes on, you know?"
no subject
He knew the other angels had abilities, all kinds of them, but he hadn't considered that Gabriel could do that with his.
"Yes, entirely too many." A pause. "Take more of them off."
Michael leans up on his elbow, eyes narrowed. He wondered what it would feel like, having his clothes removed that way.
no subject
Michael might not approve of his clothes simply being phased away for good.
Or maybe not.
In either case, Gabriel had far more important things to look at, and pay attention to. Like all of that exposed, glorious skin.
