behold the demons that i freed
Who: Castiel & Dean Winchester
Where: 5th floor hallway
When: 03/18
Rating: R for violence/death
Summary: Castiel tracks down demon Dean for round two, but Dean's got a First Blade with Cas' name on it.
The Story:
[Since being released from that ring of holy fire, Castiel has had nothing on his mind but how to best handle Dean. He doesn't want to drag too many people into this, hoping instead that it can be handled quickly and quietly. Granted, that's already been compromised given that someone had seen fit to announce Sam's death to the entire mansion. It's best that people are on their guard, yes, but this is a personal matter and the more people who take an interest in Dean as he is now, the more who might end up harmed or killed.
What's frustrating is just how difficult it is to track Dean. Castiel has a good sense of his energy signature now that they've interacted face-to-face, but trying to find anyone here in Wonderland is like searching for a needle in a haystack.
Two days pass, and while Castiel finds that the mansion has taken on some changes, he doesn't pay them much mind. He has no interest in the festival out in the gardens, or the top floors which have been transformed into some sort of treetop dwelling. He'd found himself with a different pair of wings there, though they'd been more for show than anything else, and any curiosity he might have had about this event is soured by his need to find Dean.
Which he does, finally, picking out his scent among all the rest, if only because the herd has thinned on a few floors. Dean is smart to choose to be where everyone else isn't, as plenty of people must want his head by now. He is, naturally, on the fifth floor -- it's where he'd spend much of his time, while human.
Castiel flies in, ready to seize Dean the way he'd originally tried and then take him to his room, where he's set up a devil's trap, but when he lands he's taken aback by the setting. This has happened before, certain floors of the mansion shifting around to look like they're part of a mental hospital, but this may even be worse than the last time. The lighting is dim, there are rusted doors hanging off of their hinges, not to mention the blood splatters scattered here and there -- on the floor, the walls, even the ceiling.
Did Dean do all this? Castiel clenches his jaw as he searches out Dean's signature -- he's not far...]
