Open Bar Post for the duration of the event
Who: Anyone!
Where: The temporarily-relocated bar, now in a 1st floor tea room until the fifth floor becomes inhabitable again.
When: The duration of the event
Rating: ???
Summary: With the fifth floor being overrun by Silent Hill shenanigans and weird unfortunate afflictions, the bar staff has temporarily relocated to the first floor until they can return upstairs. Unfortunately, they're still cursed by the unfortunate truth-telling side effects. Drink and Tell at your own risk.
The Story:
The bar has weathered a lot of events in Wonderland, and will no doubt weather a lot more, but between the recent string of murders (Thanks, Dean Winchester) and the current vivid atmosphere on the fifth floor, everyone had agreed that finding somewhere a little less terrifying to get drunk was a requirement until things got sorted and back to normal.
Of course, moving locales doesn't seem to free them from the new geas of truth-telling that's seemed to invade anywhere in the mansion that nourishment is offered. That's not enough for them to close their doors, though. In fact, Simon's all for this, because he thinks it could provide some prettyamusing interesting revelations. And as he is the one most visible in the bar for the next few days, he could use some of that. Jo's still recovering from her attack and he might still be over-protectively fussing just a little.
He's his typical welcoming self to anyone who wanders in for some alcohol, however, always ready with a drink and likely some inappropriate humor. Delve into deep truths at your own risk, however.

Or maybe there were just too many people around at the bar even for a demon to want to take on. He didn't know much about demons honestly.
Sam shrugged, looking a little guilty. "I'm not really the one he's got a grudge against. Much." It was Jo he was really worried about.

"I'm working with Sam and Cas to find a way to fix this. Dean probably won't love that, and there's-- there are other reasons he might be pissed." Residual anger or resentment, maybe, that had resurfaced now that he was without his humanity, but she doesn't want to think about that any more than she has to.

He grimaces at the mention of Castiel, not quick enough to suppress it. He knows it isn't the Angel's fault, but he's not someone Sam feels comfortable hanging around. "I don't think he loves anything right now. Hopefully they'll be able to help though."
no subject
"He'll remember that." She presses her lips together, having been worrying at the lower with her teeth. "And-- yeah. That's exactly what I was afraid of. Him threatening Simon, or other friends. He's not afraid to play dirty." And Jo was not only close to Dean on his better days, but she was a dedicated part of Team Demon Cure. That had the potential to draw his ire in a big way.
"If we can get what we need, we can stop him. It won't be easy, but we have to do it."
no subject
He looked up at her tiredly. "What do you need? Can I help?"
no subject
Except that's so much easier said than done. She grimaces, folding her arms and resting her weight against the table.
"First off, we need a priest. We won't get very far without a bonafide Man of God, apparently."
no subject
His face falls when she mentions the first thing they need. "Won't like... angels work? I'm pretty sure they outrank priests, what with being genuine heavenly creatures?"
no subject
Really, you'd think an angel would outrank a priest every time, but rituals were often painfully particular. You had to follow them to the letter or else it wouldn't work, simple as that.
"He said an angel's not enough. Probably because angels are supposedly made to serve God, but people have to choose it? Although they've got plenty of free will these days, but-- it might have something to do with it. I'm no theologist, but I trust Castiel. He wants this fixed as much as any of us do, and he'll do whatever it takes to make it happen. I don't think he'd hold out on me."
no subject
"Well, that's stupid," he said, rolling his eyes. "You'd think they'd be able to do something, or what's the point?" Massive Celestial power to burn out someone's eyes and kill them, but apparently unable to do the same job as a priest. Which... Sam\s not entirely sure what a priest's job involves honestly. Trips to church with primary school had made it seem like it involved a lot of tea and biscuits and singing really boring songs.

Waiting isn't something she's ever been particularly good at, and she hates that there's no immediate solution. It is what it is, but that doesn't mean she or anyone else has to like it.
"We're looking into alternatives. If we could ensure that we could get a hold of him and use Wonderland's magic to help us make a prison strong enough, that might work-- for awhile."
no subject
"I want to help," he says quietly. "I don't want him going after you or Maxine or... or anyone else. I just... don't know anything about magic."
no subject
Sometimes, there was only so much she could do, but she's determined to be a part of the solution this time around. She reaches out, closing a reassuring hand over Sam's wrist.
"For right now, what you're doing is helpful. Learning those sigils, practicing those devil's traps. Keep salt and iron on you, make sure Maxine does the same. I don't want to see anyone hurt, especially the two of you." And especially especially Simon, but she's pretty sure she doesn't have to say as much.
