[open] Curious Curious

Who: Mark and YOU
Where: The eighth, ninth, tenth, and roof | the dining room | the festival in the gardens
When: 3/23 - the event's end
Rating: No more than PG-13
Summary: A curious and overwhelmed filmmaker explores his new home.
The Story: [THE TREE AND WING FLOORS]

To say that Mark wasn't the happiest filmmaker around was an understatement. Not only had he been ripped away from his home, he was thrown headlong into some incarnation of Wonderland and then, for some damnable reason, had sprouted wings. At least they looked nice, even if he was forced to cut holes in the back of one of the shirts that this place had so kindly given him.

His initial reaction to everything was to hide in his room. He hated all of this and just wanted to go home where things were familiar and he had Roger. Even if Roger was a pain in the ass, he missed the musician more than he was willing to admit. Mark could already tell that being Roger-less was going to be the worst thing about this place.

Eventually, however, the filmmaker's curiosity got the best of him and he cautiously ventured out of his room. Camera in hand, he started off in his exploration of his floor, studying the tree and curious to find out if he could actually use his wings to fly.

[THE DINING ROOM]

Exploration made even the most curious of people hungry. After a few questions of where to locate food, Mark eventually made his way into the dining room. He paused, staring with an open mouth at his surroundings. This easily had to be one of the nicest places that he'd ever seen in his entire life. It made him almost afraid to step foot inside because he expected some waiter or manager or something to come sweeping up to him, yelling at him for even thinking that he could be in such a place.

After a little peering around and a few cautious steps, Mark slowly made his way inside the dining room and sat down. With wide eyes, he stared upwards at the beautiful ceiling above.

[THE GARDENS]

Upon hearing about a festival, Mark decided to head outside. Clutching his camera close so that the falling objects couldn't hit it, he moved as quickly as he could to the gardens. He breathed a sigh of relief once he was at the festival and the danger of being whacked in the head stopped.

He quickly set up his camera, slowly moving among the crowd as he began to film his surroundings. He'd gotten some footage of what he'd come to call the "tree and wing" floors earlier, had momentarily forgotten to do it in the dining room because he'd been distracted by the beauty and the food, and thus was determined to make up for lost time at the festival.

Souji is pretty sure he spends more time working in the diner than in his room these days, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. What else does he have to do?

He's on his way there, coming down from the roof, where he's been making use of a pair of fuzzy, bluish moth wings. He notices Mark in the hallway and pauses. These days, there are a lot of people in Wonderland he doesn't know, but he doesn't even recognize this one from the network. He might be new, then, and Souji figures he ought to introduce himself. He feels like he's been here longer than most of the furniture these days.

"Hey." He raises a hand in a vague, half-wave. "Are you looking for something in particular?"

Souji hadn't meant to startle him and he murmured an apology as Mark got a hold of his camera.

His wings twitched and he nodded. "Despite the laws of physics. But if you go too far, they disintegrate."

He tilted his head and approached a little closer. "Have you been here for long?"
