Who: Will Turner + YOU
Where: the Gardens
When: April 4th
Rating: PG(ish)
Summary: Will's wet and confusing arrival in Wonderland

The Story:
After a decade of sailing the seas and waiting patiently, Will's permitted One Day had passed impossibly quickly. Reuniting with his wife and getting to meet his 9-year old son for the first time... There was simply not enough time in a single day. The emptiness in his chest ached painfully as he sailed back to his ship to meet the sunset. As soon as the sun sank below the horizon line, Will knew that it would be a long ten years before he would be able to step foot on shore again. So much would change, but Will knew he must find the mental fortitude to overcome it.

He had only closed his eyes for a moment when something rocked his longboat hard enough to capsize it, tossing him under water. Because the water was darkening with the approach of night, it allowed very little visibility and obscured the cause of the impact. Will had no idea what had happened.

Feeling something strike him hard across his chest, Will grabbed whatever it was and pushed himself away from it--

--only to be completely surprised when his head broke the surface of the water. His knees knelt on stone, and clearly he was no longer on that same sea heading out to meet the Flying Dutchman. Will blinked in mid-afternoon sunlight and wiped the water from his eyes. Cautiously, he leaned back until he was sitting beside the fountain, staring up at it in complete astonishment.

Nothing made sense. How had he arrived in an instant to the center of a garden? And at a different time of day? The fountain he was faced with was lovely enough, but completely out of place for the middle of open water where he had just been moments before. If he hadn't known better, Will would have thought himself dead and trapped in the Locker. But the ferryman knew the Locker well... and this wasn't it.

His hand brushed against something, a palm-sized metallic object that flickered a red light at him for a moment before going dark again. (Perhaps it provided the network with a glimpse of the new arrival.) Will felt oddly compelled to keep it with him, so he stuck it in his belt until he could look at it more closely later.

For a long moment, Will sat still as the warm sunlight dried his clothing. Eventually, he would push himself to standing and begin to explore the surrounding gardens and trying very hard not to show on his face the mounting anxiety he felt over continuing to walk on the land.

[[ooc: He won't be on the network just yet, but feel free to use that as a cue to find him. Or just bump into him anywhere in or near the gardens. Up to you. He has a lot of questions that need answers.]]
