The Story:

In a few months time, Bela would mark her second anniversary here. Well, she mightn't really mark it with a special celebration or anything, but she wouldn't forget it either. What she would also never forget that each day in Wonderland meant that she had a chance of living a life; albeit one that was threatened by events and other residents. It was still Bela's best chance and she was going to treat it like that.

Like most days, she can be found in the kitchen in the morning or afternoon for food. Maybe even out in the garden for a walk when the weather was perfect for it. There was even the occasional venture onto the roof of the mansion where it was the ideal place to view the stars at night. Bela never really went out beyond the mansion, except for the gardens and occasionally, the checkerboard hills. The routine that she had established for herself worked and aside from the occasional hiccup from an event, she didn't really have to change much about it.

The library was another spot that she found herself going to when she felt like it, before heading to one of the tea rooms for some quiet. Keeping herself busy was important to Bela, just as vital as breathing. It helped to distract from her fate back home- a fate which was pretty much sealed for good.

Bela feels like she can trust Michonne, even if they didn't know everything about each other. It would take time for that, but she remained hopeful.

"My room is on the eighth floor but I haven't really spoken to anyone who is there." Aside from Jesse, but he was was no longer in Wonderland.

"There's a woman up there trying to cast a spell. Change time." The words are so foreign to Michonne. But, a few years ago she hadn't believed the dead could walk, so she tries to keep an open mind now. She has to.

"She's crazy as hell. Name's Zelena."

"Why does this crazy woman called Zelena want to change time?" She's kind of baffled by the fact that she wasn't aware of a spell going on but no matter, Bela knows now.

"And how did you find out?"

"She hates her sister. Wants to erase her from time."

Yeah, it's crazy, she definitely hears how that sounds.

"I found out when I got Zelena's memories for some damn reason a while back."

"Mm. She's definitely insane."

Someone that Bela is going to try her best to avoid at all costs.

"Is she after you because you know of her plans?"

Michonne shrugs a little, but then looks at Bela.

"Less you know, the safer you are. I'm not getting anyone killed or controlled. You saw that video? She rips out hearts, uses it to control people make them tell her what she wants to know. And if you don't know anything, you don't mean anything to her."

"That doesn't mean that you should get controlled or killed, Michonne." Sure she would come back but it wouldn't take anything away from being killed in the first place.

She sighs. "I won't go after her, but I'm still concerned for you. Isn't there anyone from her world that can help you stop her?"

"We're all working together. There's a kid involved," Michonne says simply, as if that explains it. "And who the hell knows what happens if she does what she wants with all of us here. It's not just about them."

She's trying to protect everyone, and that includes her own.

"It looks like she is prepared to do just about anything to the people of this place." Which caused Bela a lot of concern to say the least. "Is there anything that I can do?"

Perhaps not directly confront Zelena but helping out in the background is possible.

"I don't think Regina wants anyone else in on this. But I'll check. You know some things about magic, right?"

Michonne doesn't want to brush her off, even if she knows this needs to be contained the best it can be.

"I don't have magical abilities, but I understand how it works." Of course, the magic in their world might be different to her own.

She's thoughtful for a moment.

"Perhaps it is better for me to stay out of the way. Keep this more contained."

"You read my mind. Look," Michonne says, letting out a breath.

"I don't want anyone getting hurt. Not because of me. So, the further you stay away from it, the better. Okay?"

"Okay." It didn't look like Michonne was going to budge on the issue so Bela wasn't going to argue with her.

"Just please be careful, yeah? No one wants you hurt either, Michonne."

She knows if Rick knew, hell, if Carl knew, they'd each through a shit fit, and she appreciates it. She does, really.

Giving Bela a nod and a slight smile, Michonne tries to express her gratitude somehow. "I will," she promises. She'll be as careful as she can.

"Do you have time to sit and eat something?" Bela asks, hoping that they could have a conversation about anything other than evil magic users.

"We can catch up a little."

Michonne nods with a slight smile. "Yeah. There's time," she decides. "You been okay?"

She's grabbing food for herself now, in preparation for the sitting and talking.

"I've been fine, yeah. Aside from the usual Wonderland nonsense, things are okay."

Bela settles at the kitchen table, gesturing for Michonne to sit down as well.

She does sit, letting out a sigh as she does, as if she's just weary. It's always something, par for the course.

"You call it nonsense, I call it bullshit. Same thing I guess," Michonne says with a small smirk. "Can't wait to see what's next."

"Oh, yeah. I'm sure it's going to be so much fun." She laughs a little, drinking some of her tea.

"Whatever it is, we can handle it. Last time I checked, we are pretty badass." Well, Michonne even more so in Bela's opinion.
