Barring any notion that he might have (God forbid) manipulated her in some way - mind, Evelyn is trying exceedingly hard not to consider that with her recent track record - Damon acts the respectable gentleman.

He's actually begun reading a great deal more in his own time to engage in voluntary discussion, he, ah- he made dinner for me, not long ago?"

Being someone with rudimentary cooking skills at best, Evelyn has learned to appreciate the culinary arts and those who excel in them. Returning the conspiratorial lean, she lowers her voice:
