Who: Arya and YOU
Where: Around Gravity Falls
When: February 8-9th
Rating: G, though will update if this changes
Summary: Arya realises she's not in Westeros any more
The Story:
a) Forest
One minute she'd been on horseback, clinging to Sandor Clegane to stay mounted as they plodded toward the Eyrie. The next she found herself quite alone, in the middle of thick woodland. To say Arya was confused was an understatement, but she'd put that to one side for now as the relief and wariness of being on her own warred in her - she wasn't exactly sorry to be away from the Hound, but she couldn't be sure what was lurking in the trees. As if on cue a twig snaps loudly a little way away, and Arya missed having Needle at her side more than ever.
She makes her way over cautiously, expecting at worst a gang of raiders and at best a small animal she can kill and eat, and is bewildered instead to find a blond teen with the whitest teeth she's ever seen, frolicking about the forest floor like an oversized rabbit. She stares for a long moment, unsure if she's hallucinating, but then the boy locks eyes with her and gives a relaxed, friendly smile before calling to what Arya can only assume are the other members of his pack.
Soon Arya's storming through the trees at quite a speed, looking thoroughly irritated and casting looks over her shoulder to the boy band that's singing and clicking and bopping in time.
"I said stop following me!"
b) Gift Shop
When she comes across the oversized Mystery Shack, Arya darts inside and slams the door behind her, leaning back against the wall while she tries to get her breath back. As she does so, she glances around and takes in the assortment of oddities on display. A jar of eyes stare unblinkingly at her, and it takes her a moment to break her gaze from them, feeling a little unnerved. When she turns away she distracts herself with some of the other curios, turning over plastic tchotchkes in her hands, giggling as she pokes at a bobblehead and watches it wiggle about, staring in confusion at a fish nailed to the wall dressed in bright, odd clothes.
When she hears footsteps she jumps, throwing everything back on the shelf quickly, afraid she'll be accused of trying to steal them.

[ it's more than she can say for robb. ]
and he may yet come here again.

She's overwhelmed with relief at the prospect that Bran and Rickon might still live, but tries her best to conceal it, feeling unsure of what to say.]
Why did he go back? Why did he leave you here?
no subject
[ though who 'they' are, even she isn't sure ]
the ways of this realm are odd and none understands them.
[ it is a half truth. she cannot tell her of alayne stone, cannot tell her yet that she had to lie. ]

[She doesn't finish the question completely, her thoughts turning to how long Sansa must have been here alone, with Bran sent away and no one else to protect her. She knew it was far better than the protection she'd been under in King's Landing, but she also didn't think Sansa would survive well completely on her own.]

[ nearly two years as it happens and the thought is odd. it's been a long time since she had seen any sign of home. arya is a welcome one, one of the only ones sansa is truly happy to see. even after so long, she still fears the day the queen and her men might come here to seek her head ]
Some people have stayed here for much longer, however.
no subject
You're even older than me now, then.

some say time works differently in Wonderland. I have not seen many people celebrate their name days here, though there was a wedding, once.
[ and then, another smile ]
the land itself is magic. there are wardrobes in the room, they give you everything you could possibly want. You could ask for any sort of food and it shall appear there or anything else.
no subject
You could ask for anything, but not anybody.
no subject
[ but if could ask, would that not be wonderful? to ask for bran and rickon again and arya and queen daenerys and - ]
I swear, I'm not lying.
no subject
I know. You've got no reason to. [And whatever else she'd thought about Sansa, she wasn't a liar, even if she'd clung to the false truths of others.]
[Her attention turns to the wolf at Sansa's feet and she frowns again.] Are there Direwolves here too?
no subject
[ she reaches a hand to the direwolf ]
I asked for a direwolf companion and was given this one. Her name is Lyanne, after our Lady Aunt.

[ But not Lady, never Lady and Sansa wishes she could explain what brought her to do such a thing as ask for a new wolf, the odd loneliness, the fear there is none who could protect her. hannibal's nature and mr. gold's advice and. ]
I hope she will.
no subject
I would have thought you'd ask for a lion.
[She's aware of how petulant she sounds, how her words might hurt Sansa, but right now she doesn't care.]
no subject
[ she does not defend herself, does not take it as an insult. arya is right, has always been. sansa had been as stupid as she claimed her to be and her stupidity had a dear price she had to pay ]
The Pride of lions says I killed one of theirs.
[ carefully. has word reached arya of what sansa is accused of doing? does she know? ]
no subject
You wouldn't kill a fly, let alone a lion.
[Then she realises the full weight of her words and fills with dread. Enough of the Lannisters were on her list, if she lost even one of them--]
...Who?
no subject
[ she looks down at her hands. despite it all, she dreads thinking of the day he died. lady margaery's beautiful dress, the queen's terrible gaze, petyr and - ]
Joffrey is dead.
no subject
He can't be dead. He can't be.
no subject
[ she can barely think of it now, the smell of food and margaery's gown and joffrey choking on the floor. ]
The Queen named me his murderer.
[ her and tyrion but she cannot bring herself to speak of him, cannot bear to think arya will know the nature of their connection. ]
no subject
[She can't help but scoff at the choice of weapon. She'd use it if she had to, if those she needed to kill would get away otherwise, but never if there was another choice. She needed to look them in the eye and understand just why their life was forfeit, she couldn't do that if she was sneaking around sprinkling poison on their meat.
She stares at her sister very intently now, at her mention of the Queen's suspicion. If Sansa were to kill someone, poison would be the obvious choice, requiring no brute force or accuracy, just the gentle hand of a woman to administer it.]
...Did you do it?
no subject
[ far before anyone ever thought of poison. it feels strange to admit to such, it sends a tremor of fear through her but joffrey is dead, the queen's men far away. it is only her and arya and sansa shall not spoil it again with lies. ]
I did not. I had no manner to achieve poison, I had no manner to achieve anything. he -
[ she wrings her hands together ]
when he called me out of my chambers it was only for torment and beatings.
no subject
I wanted to be the one to do it.
no subject
[ it's a brave thing to say, she barely believes it, that she dares to. she would tell no one else but arya. arya was her only kin here and she thinks she is deserving of this. of knowing who was the man who killed the boy who has taken their father's head.
she comes closer, ever closer, so that none else shall hear if there is anyone listening ]
Petyr. Littlefinger. He had him poisoned, he has taken me out of King's Landing, I - was to be his baseborn girl. He knew the Queen will have my head if I stay. She thought I murdered Joffrey, she knew I hated him.
