moody on the beach

Who: Caroline Forbes and whoever she runs across!
Where: On the beach at first, then throughout the area.
When: Morning of the 14th
Rating: Safe for the kids
Summary: Caroline has arrived, and she's on a beach. Not that she's dressed for the beach, but there she is! Confused. Somewhat annoyed. Obviously in a great mood.
The Story:

She's on a beach.

This, among other things, has Caroline confused. Maybe baffled is a better word, since it seems more appropriate. She's not even irritated (yet), just...baffled.

One moment, the world goes to hell - literally, the Other Side just disappeared, thanks to some not so awesome magic shenanigans. Bonnie and Damon were lost and God knows when they can get them back (she's less worried about getting Damon back, but Bonnie. Bonnie is way more important and they need her. Not just for her witchy powers, but just because they need Bonnie Bennett in their lives.)

Yet, here she is. Standing on a beach, looking at the ocean with troubled eyes, and getting sand all over her really freakin' expensive boots. Seriously, she splurged on them and now she's gonna have to spend however long making sure every single grain is cleaned off.

Get it together, Forbes. She shakes her head, trying to focus on the issue at hand. That issue being she has no idea where she is. There's plenty of other things on her mind, but this is the best one to focus on for now. Everything else can come later.

With that thought in mind, Caroline starts her trek through the sand, heading in the direction of the only place that makes sense - the large building in the distance.

[OOC: Caroline can be encountered literally anywhere on the grounds or in the mansion at any time. Just run into her, or msg me about an encounter and I can put up a comment! I'm open to any and everything. BRING IT. ]

Sorry, Caroline. At least, in his defense, he's not quite as old as Klaus. By about 700 years. How similar can they possibly be? It's okay, you don't have to answer...

"No, you're not dead." That doesn't seem a bizarre assumption to him, honestly, though he does think when someone dies they'll end up somewhere a little more ominous, if they end up somewhere at all. "You're in a place called Wonderland. You might have heard of it."

Cue her thinking he was insane, instead of trying to be helpful.

"Right, you'd think it'd be a castle." He's speaking from his experience of actually going to a version of Wonderland, but it does sound very convincingly that he's also referencing the book. He's not. He still hasn't read that one, he can't find it in the library. Someone already must be trying to research the place they've crashlanded in.

"Still, yes, that's the one. So far I've not spotted any talking animals this go around, but don't hold me to that." She seems surprisingly accepting of her situation, which makes him wonder if she's just so disconcerted by the suggestion she doesn't know what to do with it. "It's real. I think you'll find plenty of stories are."

She is talking to a walking fairytale, so safe to say he has at least a slight investment in the subject. He's used to the disbelief, at least, yet it will do her well to keep an open mind and she seems to. There's all too much here that would appear impossible at first glance, if she spends the rest of her time stuck on it she'll have a very long stay.

"It's not the most accommodating of places I've been, no." What with the walls that attacked and suspect potions everywhere... and the Queen of Hearts, though Hook had yet to meet the new variety of her.

His expression grows more apologetic at the last bit. No, there's no good way out yet, and he knows that's a frustrating answer to hear. "Not as far as I've found, but there are some of us still looking." Some weren't looking at all, unfortunately, but he's not interested in talking about that at the moment. Probably not heartening to hear half the place found their circumstances hopeless the first second you landed on shore, either.
