The storm's coming down, these old walls are wearing thin | CLOSED

Who: Stanley [[personal profile] charlastan] and Stanford [[personal profile] mviw] Pines
Where: Ford's Room, Third Floor Room 33
When: 4/19, sometime after this thread.
Rating: PG-13
Summary: The kids are safe, Soos isn't, and it's a bad event all around for Stan. It's also time for Ford to learn some things about the last zombie event.
The Story:

[It was already shaping up to be a long event, but it's the longest day yet.

Stan's quietly irritable and fidgety. He hasn't been talking much since they spoke to the kids a few hours ago, and learned about Soos. The truth is he wants to be optimistic of the possibility of a cure - he was already cured once, after all - but Stan just can't. It's not going to work because these aren't their world's zombies. Soos is going to die, and there's nothing they can do but wait it out.

And Stan hates waiting. That might be the worst part of this event. It's stupid to leave and get themselves killed again, but there's nothing productive to do while they wait for it to blow over.

He periodically gets up and listens at the barricade for hoards roaming the halls. He sends Dipper and Mabel at least five more messages. He considers sending something to Soos and hesitates. He lets his unnamed freeloader kitten wrestle with his hand and gnaw on it, because it's not like he's doing anything else worthwhile.

The silence is deafening though, so he forces himself to make conversation eventually.
]

How long's it been, four days? This stupid event's gotta be almost over by now... [He grumbles a little.] Last time we had zombies here it was four days.

[So naturally, knowing their luck, it'll be five. Or more.]
