Who: Andrea and YOU + closed starter for Michonne
Where: Catch her anywhere
When: Through the event
Rating: Probably PG-13 ish
Summary: Andrea is a mutant with the power to remove powers and physical strength from anyone she touches so she...doesn't touch anyone.
The Story:
O P E N;
[ As far as Andrea knows, she's always been a mutant. She didn't know until she was sixteen, but that's been her life for so many years now it's hard to remember anything before it. And she doesn't want to. She hates humans, but she doesn't openly attack them unless provoked or needing to defend herself. Due to the nature of her powers, she keeps her skin well covered, not wanting to hurt fellow mutants.
She keeps to her own kind for the most part, but her life intersects with humans occasionally. It's inevitable. ]
C L O S E D;
[ The first two days of the event, Andrea is fully indoctrinated, and believes she's been a mutant since her powers first manifested at the age of sixteen. Everyone had turned against her except her best friend, Michonne. All of that changed, though, the day that Andrea had accidentally hurt Michonne and nearly killed her. She'd run away from everything, unable to face her friend, wanting to be with other mutants, who could understand her. As time went on, she began to resent humans, almost hating them, to the point that when Michonne found her five years after she'd run away, she'd spewed out hateful, vile things, telling her she never wanted to see her again.
Go back to your own kind.
She thought that would be the last she'd see of her, she hoped it would be, but then they'd run into each other again, and Michonne was antagonizing her this time. She had no choice, she didn't restrain herself from hurting her, draining her strength enough to make her collapse before she fled.
It's the evening of the second day that memories start to come back in bits and pieces. She had a sister, friends, people in Atlanta. They were on the run from something terrible and Michonne saved her. It's not until the third day when she realizes what's happened and she feels sick to her stomach, immediately trying to find Michonne. ]

She stays with humans of course, katana her weapon against the mutants that want to try and round them all up. Guns don't always work, but no head tends to be the end of things. Outside, walking down the street, she sees Andrea, immediately tensing and telling a younger human to go inside, immediately. Then, one hand already reaching for the blade on her back, she strides toward Andrea.]
You're not wanted here.

Michonne. Please. Just listen to me.
[ Her voice is soft, her entire demeanor so different from the last time they'd seen each other. ]
no subject
I should hate you, too.
[There's more than just anger behind her words. There's genuine hurt.]

[She's so angry, and if Andrea doesn't hate her, Michonne's glad to pick up the slack.]
no subject
I'm sorry. I'm so sorry.
no subject
I don't know what the hell you're talking about, but we're not doing this. Whatever it is.
no subject
Whatever you're thinking of doing with that, just do it. I deserve it.
no subject
[ Somehow, it makes her even more wary. ]
no subject
Because I love you, and I shouldn't. I can't.
[ Michonne doesn't remember any of it. They're sworn enemies. If anyone knew, she'd be killed anyway, and for all she knows, this is their life now. Forever. ]

You have a damn funny way of showing it.
[ But she does drop her fighting stance. ]
Killing's you too easy. You love me? Then telling you to get the fuck away from me is the best thing I can do to hurt you. So, go.
no subject
I'll see you again. On the other side.
[ She's not sure if that's even true, but it's all she can think to say before turning to leave. ]

She watches her go, eyes narrowed, jaw set. ]

Humans felt more violent - her precognitive flashes occurring more frequently around them than after she'd left, moving to live with 'her own kind' as some so wonderfully put it. It's lead to her not liking humans - not hating them as some do, but not wanting them around her. She's against the human sympathisers and those that would bring them closer, but whilst she doesn't like them she wouldn't attack them. She's seen enough violence happen because of them )
Why do you go to them?
( Lydia knows who Andrea is, having spoken to her a few times before but she doesn't know her well. Though she does know her feelings about humans - it's easy to know where people lie. It's what Lydia doesn't understand - she doesn't like humans but she still interacts with them. As displeasureable as it is Lydia wonders why she still does it )

Why does it matter?
[ After years upon years of being seen as a freak, living on the fringes of society, Andrea is more closed off than her true persona. More full of bitterness and darkness. ]
no subject
( Not with everything that's happened - not just to Andrea, Lydia doesn't know Andrea's story, but to other mutants. To her, with attacks that have happened. Why would you try and be among them when they don't want you there? )
They're cruel. I wouldn't try and go back to them.

[ She crosses over there purely to observe, she tells herself. The one thing she'll never tell anyone is that she hopes to catch sight of Michonne sometimes. And she does, from the shadows, but there's too much hate between them for her to ever approach. ]
They're interesting, like little bugs. So easy to break.
no subject
( Before they knew any different. She used to wish she could still be them - that she didn't have anything different, but she can't change it now. Now she doesn't wish it was different, if only because she's felt so much hate that it doesn't feel right to want to be human now )
They're not interesting. They're awful.

[ Andrea doesn't know what she wishes for anymore, except that sometimes she dreams of her friend, of laughing with her on warm summer afternoons, telling each other all their hopes and dreams. And that's all gone now, like everything else. Everything good. This life she lives now, it isn't a good one by any means. ]
Do you remember loving them? Do you hate that you ever did?
no subject
( For who she was, and she couldn't help that it had taken time to reveal her mutation - or that she was a mutant. She also couldn't help but still love her family, even if things could never been the same any more )
I don't want to see them again, but I don't want to hurt them. Not like some do.
no subject
I hurt my best friend. A long time ago.
no subject
( Because there's definitely a difference )
no subject
No. I never wanted to.
