The Story:
Daisy is already fairly well practiced with her powers, though she also knows there are things she can probably do that she hasn't entirely figured out how to do yet. The ability to create, and manipulate/otherwise control vibrations seems pretty straightforward and not all that fancy, but she's found that it's a lot less limiting in options than it seems.
She suspects that while she probably cannot make herself truly fly with her powers, it should stand to reason that she can at least launch herself upwards for a distance, so long as she has something to land on. Outside probably isn't the most padded place to test this theory, but here she is (she doesn't want to accidentally launch herself through the mansion roof or something like that).
She crouches, her knees almost touching the ground and her arms and hands spread out beside her legs as she focuses for a moment, and then uses a small amount of power to try to launch herself, not wanting to use too much power from the start. Instead what happens is she uses too little and winds up tripping on her own feet before she really gets too far off he ground and sort of half rolls on her side.
She sets up her second attempt the same way, though this time adds a little more vibration to her launch. This attempt looks more like someone doing a little jump -- but at least she lands on her feet.
This is probably quite a sight for anyone witnessing this first part, though it's sure to get more entertaining in a few minutes.
Attempt three starts the same, yet this time she adds much more power, and ... lands right into the fountain. She's able to break her fall somewhat by adding a little bit of resistance with her powers on the landing, but that doesn't stop her from getting soaked and spraining a wrist. She emerges from the water, soaked to the bone, her hair clinging to her face. Slosh slosh slosh. She drags herself out and flings her hair back. "I totally meant to do that." She says, mostly to herself, though if someone is nearby they may hear that too. Spoilers: she totally did NOT mean to do that.
However, for her final attempt, she will not be discouraged, even with a protesting wrist. Attempt four is set up, again, the same, though this time, with more power added to her launch, she winds up nearly faceplanting into the branch of a tree, and gets herself caught up in said tree. Like a kitten that someone calls the fire department on. She'll just be here, in this tree, hanging out (ha, pun), don't mind her...ha. ha. This is fine.

At the second attempt, Mikan had run inside to get her first aide kit.
At the third attempt, Mikan has returned with said first aide kit.
So by the time the fourth attempt has been completed, Mikan is running toward the tree. "A-Are you okay?"

"The tree is progress, at least. But your parabolic arc isn't taking air friction into account when you plot your trajectory. Consider the Coriolis Effect and adapt accordingly."

... Right, Daisy isn't an engineer despite her sudden interest in engineering practices. He puffs out his cheeks, debating whether or not this one is even worth explaining.
"Remember that the wind is applying pressure to you even while you're trying to use frequencies to propel you elsewhere. That's why you fell short during that last attempt, I think. If we we're in a vacuum, that would have been enough to make it."

"So what you're saying is we should get a big ass vacuum and somehow put us in a bubble with it, and then I can try this." She nods as if to add on to that, 'yes this is clearly the best idea - am I right or am I right?'
no subject
"Ah -- well. Not quite that, no. What I mean is -- you can feel the direction the wind is blowing, don't you? So." It hurts his heart to have to simplify this much. "So -- if you are moving against the wind, you need to exert more force to compensate for that."

Then, he sees said woman fly through the air and land in the fountain. "...What?" He hears what she said, but honestly? He's not convinced. When she winds up in a tree, though, he can't ignore her and runs down to help.
"Hey, so...if you're stuck I can get you down. But maybe you should have a spotter or something the next time?" Maybe someone who really can fly so that they can grab her and keep her from zooming all over the place.

Honestly, knowing someone here who could fly and could serve as a spotter and possible rescuer would probably be a wise idea. Too bad she didn't think about that before trying this. Ah well, little too late now, at least for today.
"In hindsight, I think you are very right about that." A pause, then she addresses his offer of help: "Uh, yeah, that'd be great, thanks -- you don't happen to have a rope or something do you?" She can repel down with that.

Henry raises a hand and concentrates, then, with magic, he slowly guides the woman out of the tree. Just like moving his practice barrels, really. When he places her on the ground, he grins in success because that's the first time he's actually helped anyone with magic, and it feels a lot better than the alternative. Which was, apparently, cursing all of them.
