+ FOURTH WALL EVENT: FOREST PARTY +
Who: E V E R Y O N E
Where: The Forest!
When: Sept 7th to Sept 10th
Rating: G to PG-13 (please label higher ratings, thank you!)
Summary: Could it be that you (GASP!) don't want to be here? Do you maybe want to make like a tree and... leaf? Then how about you do the next best thing, and come to the woods to party! And don't forget to have a look at the Fourth Wall Master Post for event rules, puzzle clues, and more places to mingle!
The Story:
Beginning on September 7th, colourful ribbons will hang from several trees by the forest. Whoever follows their path will be guided deeper, right to the scene of a forest party.
Wooden benches, swings in all shapes and sizes, tree trunks, and other arrangements give plenty of opportunities to sit together. Tree houses and tents provide shelter, and come nightfall the festivities will light up for you.
Campfires provide additional light and warmth and a great place for ghost stories. Camping coolers store more than smores, and all around you nature twists and turns to give you room to dance to the music, to wander in the quiet, and to simply have a good time!
(...Are you the curiously perceptive, or the perceptively curious sort? If so, then you might also notice the small bird sitting on a branch nearby.)

chinhands at the mayhem
Sigh.]
I know who you are.
[That's a little bit of truth Victor thinks it best to be honest about. Pretending otherwise would only set a bad precedent if the truth were to come out as it tends to, and it helps to explain away his surprise at seeing an Original standing on the path.
He takes the offered hand, because really, what else is he going to do? Say no on the grounds that Klaus is an alleged killer? So is Victor. That's shaky moral ground to be standing on.]
We met in Wonderland once.
chinhands all day loooong
his fingers take victor's firmly, his continued amusement and intrigue plain. ]
Once? Well it's a pity I only have the pleasure once, Mr. [ lol or is it doctor ] Frankenstein.
no subject
And shake he does, an ironically normal gesture, expression schooled into something placid. It's doctor, but you know what, he's just going to sit back and relax and let you do you, Klaus.]
That is the confounding reality of Wonderland. You're not the first I've met who has no recollection of having been here before. That was about two years ago now.
no subject
klaus does in fact know the basics of his untimely past arrival here, including how long he was here and when he left. he's not made many pains to inquire much deeper, knowing if there was truly anything he needed to know, camille would be forthright with him. that victor knew him, even in passing, does intrigue him, for the simple fact that this is a man who knew some version of himself that he does not.
no to mention he's been here significantly longer. ]
Yes, I heard it was about that long. And you? How long have you been here?
no subject
Though his shoulder and his hand are his property again, the Original doesn't seem inclined to dismiss him just yet and inwardly, Victor steels himself in case he has to get creative with his verbal dodges. How does he keep ending up sandwiched between super powered vampires and humans?]
You were one of the first people I met.
[How time flies in a strange new world. Victor can only look back at that period in his life and think how young I was. Young and skeptical and too blind by far.]
It would seem it was only a matter of time before we met again. [And, in the spirit of providing the same offer he'd given to Rebekah, he adds:] You'll forgive me if that is an unwelcome sentiment.
[This is Victor taking Klaus' advice to heart and being careful.]
no subject
and the bulk of his amusement drains at "unwelcome sentiment." it's a moment before he speaks, his gaze unerring as he studies victor and considers all of the many reasons why this could be so. his tone is even, nonthreatening, but there is no doubt to a observant ear that he's demanding an answer. ] Well then you'll forgive me if I'd like to know exactly why that is.
no subject
[Fortunately, Victor finds he doesn't have to dissemble innocence--his words carry no deep meaning that needs explaining or a great conspiracy other than to act with decorum. His response is perfunctory.]
I meant only that perhaps you'd wish not to be treated familiarly by a virtual stranger.
[He'd like to try and not offend an Original if he can. For Elena's sake as well as his own.]
