Summary: Professor Doe has office hours, time spent in the common room, shopping at Hogsmeade and other places. If you want a specific starter I'm happy to toss a top-level up! just let me know either via PM or plurk @propernice. Also, prose or brackets, either way! Will adjust!
The Story:

Hogsmeade ϟ

[ Jane loves wandering around Hogsmeade, especially when the air is cool and crisp and she can walk with a warm beverage in her hands. She has a little shopping to do and there's a get-together to attend for all the professors, but for now she's enjoying this gorgeous afternoon. She goes to Gladrags Wizardwear to pick up some things for the coming winter and Honeydukes because she likes keeping sweets for discussions during class. She gives something out for each right answer (plus house points) to try and encourage discussion. She goes to Scrivenshaft's to place an order for a new golden quill for Kurt (a present for Christmas) and then continues to window shop until making her way back to the castle. She'll stop to speak to anyone she knows, happy and light this weekend. ]

Arithmancy class ϟ

[ Professor Doe's classroom has the desks all arranged in a semi-circle so that she can see every face and they're all facing her. A black cat named Remi sometimes sleeps curled up on her desk and sometimes walks with her as she teaches about events that were predicted thanks to people taking this very class. She tries to make it interesting with dramatic re-tellings of arithmancy gone wrong (illegal betting on Quidditch matches and failed predictions that cost people millions) and arithmancy that seemed so incorrect that no one listened and something terrible happened when there was plenty of warning. There are stories of happy events, like predicting when someone will have a baby and brides-to-be figuring out when proposals will happen. Her own tattoos tell stories that are yet to be told, and each year, students have one to decipher. Some years it's ominous and sometimes it's fine. But each time, the Ministry of Magic is notified thusly. Professor Doe encourages questions and discussion. There's a quiz at the end of the week, so she gives plenty of in-class study time so that any questions can be brought to her attention. ]

Hufflepuff Common Room ϟ

[ There is nothing about the Hufflepuff Common Room that Jane doesn't love. She can be found there in the evenings usually, helping students in any topic who need it, or simply talking to students who need an ear. It makes her happy to be available for any Puffs who might need it, and usually, when approaching her she's either grading parchment or sketching. Her cat wanders freely, always seeming to gravitate toward the students who are the most melancholy for whatever reason, which always sees Jane giving them a bit of attention before she leaves for the evening. ]

Misc. ϟ

[ Professor Doe can be found at times in the Gryffindor Common Room because she's terribly in love with Professor Weller. During meals, she sits with various teachers and sometimes 6th and 7th-year students. During Quidditch, she's loud in the stands, energetic and completely into it, and she can always be found in between classes wandering the halls. ]

<sub>[This wouldn't be Anders' first time getting a talking to or losing House points should Professor Doe wag her finger and decide to put an end to his latest mischief instead, but that doesn't stop him from smiling approvingly when she gives him the opportunity to plead his case (or dig himself in deeper, either one).

This is why he likes her, she's fun. Not like some of the staff that have quick trigger fingers for sending students to detention.]</sub>

I can trust you to keep a secret, can't I, Professor Doe? Collaboration between Houses is always so moving.

_{[Tone lowering to a conspiratorial pitch, he glances around the common room, though he already the assembled Gryffindor students won't tattle on him without a reason. He knows where they sleep.]}

It's a family-friendly interior design project, you'll like it. Here's the game plan: replace the furniture with giant pumpkins. "But where will the students sit?" you're thinking. "That sounds like a troublesome prank." Oh, but wait! The best part is yet to come.

_{[Pulling his wand from his robes, Anders points it at the pumpkin and utters a Spongify! Then he pokes it. The tip of his wand pushes against the soft surface of the pumpkin, now as squishy as a couch cushion.]}

The look on Professor Weller's face when he sees his softening charm put to good use! Just picture it. He'll get a kick out of it. Come on, we need to keep the old man on his toes. Wouldn't want him thinking his House isn't learning anything.

[ Jane listens, and then she laughs loudly. ]

Okay, I'm in. I saw nothing, I heard nothing.

_{[It's always nice when your work is appreciated. Anders grins, pleased to have won over a partner in crime.]}

Ha, you're the best! There is a reason we love you in Gryffindor House, Professor Doe. I knew I could count on your discretion in these very important matters.

<sub>[He stows his wand away to begin rolling the now light, bouncy pumpkin toward the boys' stairwell. He'll hide it up there for now; this had been a dry run to see if he could get one here, and now that he knows he can it's only a matter of unleashing a pumpkin horde on their poor, unsuspecting Head.

Weller's probably waiting for him to run out of ridiculous tricks, but joke's on him, Anders' well of ridiculousness never runs dry.]</sub>

Oh, I'm the best now, huh? Good luck, and maybe try to be more stealthy.

[ Jane shakes her head with a smirk; she won't tell Kurt but once everything happens, she'll cop to knowing about it because she loves to see him pout, honestly. ]

<sub>[Up the stairs the pumpkin goes, both it and Anders disappearing around the corner. For now dumping it on his bed next to his pile of dirty laundry and drawing the curtains closed is as good a place to leave it as any. The other boys know better than to go near his four poster or his trunk--not without expecting a surprise of some kind.

Minus one less giant orange eyesore, he joins Professor Doe, favoring her with another smile.]</sub>

You've always been the best in my books. Honestly. You and Professor Weller, Hogwart's best power couple, that's what I always say. _{[Admit it, it's hard to discipline a student who lays the schmooze on this thick.]} Not that I'm not glad to see you, but what brings you by?

[ Jane smirks looking around again as if the other half of said power couple may have walked in and she missed him. ]

I was looking for Professor Weller. He's mysteriously nowhere to be found, and I'm worried he's having a too serious conversation with another student for even thinking about proposing to his sister.

_{[Unless Professor Weller has another long-lost sister he doesn't know about, the only logical conclusion is that Ray is attempting to commit suicide via overprotective older brother.]}
