[Bucky's eyes flick up to meet Steve's, and he hadn't even realized just how close they were.
For a moment, everything had faded away and all he'd felt was Steve. The warmth of his body pressed against him, how he holds his hand still and doesn't pull away when Bucky touches him. It should be overwhelming, just how much Steve trusts him. It should be harder for him to be this close to someone else, to touch and be touched in returned. There's a lot of things he thought this would be, how it would feel, and it's none of that. It's better, sweeter.
He knows, right then, what he's going to do, but he doesn't rush in.
Bucky slips his fingers free, and shifts slightly to the side, reaching up to touch Steve's cheek. He nibbles his lower lip as they glide over the other man's jaw, gaze flitting between Steve's mouth and eyes. He could outright say what he wants to do, what he's going to do, but he doesn't think he has to. He gives Steve the time to choose.
Inhaling, uncaring of the angle he has to move his upper body into to make it work, he leans in and kisses him. Light at first, and as all the tension leaves his body when their mouths meet, he sighs softly.]
