[ Caitlin's not about to name any names or throw anyone under the bus. A lady never sciences and tells, after all. ]

Anytime. Seriously. I hate to think you might have been stuck here for who knows how long. [ She leans down, continuing to cut the webbing. ] Can I ask why you have web... shooters, you called them?

They're for swinging around from one building to the next in New York City...

[It's a feat which would be impossible if someone had a regular, human body, but he thankfully doesn't. He's part spider.]

...and fighting bad guys.

You're a vigilante?

[ There's a distinct lack of surprise in her voice. Sure, Peter seems a bit young for the crime-fighting life, but it's not her place to judge. There's surely people back home his age with abilities. And some without that do the job just fine. (Roy and Thea both come to mind.)

The last of the webbing gives way with a final angled slice. ]

I'm beginning to think Wonderland has a type.

[Peter slides away from the wall, looking back at it with a grimace. It's good to be free. His gaze darts back over to her own.

He appreciates she doesn't use the words hero or superhero because he's not.]

Yeah.

[his voice cracks out of him awkwardly almost]

I know it doesn't really seem like- [he shrugs, releases a breath] There are a lot of us around though.

[ Oh, but they're practically synonymous in Caitlin's eyes. Given that pretty much all of the vigilantes she knows are heroes. Others may view them differently, but it takes a certain kind of person to step outside themselves and into harm's way to protect another.

She smiles gently, setting the scalpel aside. ]

Maybe it's just confirmation bias. It seems like there's a lot because we're just... more aware of them. [ It sounds right enough. ] I take it you have some power as well? At least so you don't go - [ She claps her hands together loudly. ] Against a wall.

Sounds like a sound reason to me. I don't think there are any other vigilantes where I'm from. Hard to miss hearing about a guy in a mask, taking out criminals.

[And Peter was called a criminal too at times. Isn't that what a vigilante is? They try to take the law into their own hand. They go out for revenge. He squares his shoulders up and then laughs]

Yeah, uh. I don't go smacking. I'd be a terrible- [He waves a hand vaguely in a way which is meant to imply 'vigilante' since what is labeling oneself] if I just showed up at a place and immediately pancaked. I got bit, by a spider, a genetically modified spider.
