The Story:
[Really, it's not until tomorrow-- but attending Evie's party down in the ballroom tomorrow night means that Jo has opted to rearrange things to suit her needs.
She doesn't try to be especially sneaky about it, as Simon has done in the past when preparing surprises for her, but she does excuse herself from the bar early in the afternoon, leaving Simon with a kiss and the instruction to meet her at home after seven. Whether Cami handled the bar for the rest of the evening or they left it self-serve, it didn't matter to her, but for tonight, Jo wasn't going to let herself think about work or any kind of responsibilities.
The lights are already low when the clock ticks seven, and she smiles to herself as she reaches for her phone and shoots Simon a text.]
Coming?

They're beautiful.
[She sits back on her heels, gently setting the bouquet down beside her, propped up against the picnic basket so that the flowers won't be crushed.]
Hungry, I hope?
