Rabbit walking
Who: Legion and you!
Where: All over the mansion
When: Early to mid January
Rating: G-PG most likely
Summary: Adorable robots walking adorable rabbits
The Story:
Shepard-Commander had gifted them with a rabbit walking leash and harness. This was not anticipated.
It is several days before they decide to attempt to use it, but eventually you might find that when you see them out and about, they're accompanied by a small, brown, lop eared bunny. These occurrences become increasingly frequent as the month goes on.
Perhaps you spot them reading in the library, or strolling through the gardens. Maybe they're people watching, or going to visit a friend. Regardless of what they're doing, their rabbit is with them. How cute. Perhaps you'd like to say hi?

They chatter for a moment, staring at the Human.
"Query: What is your designation?"
no subject
"Minato."
He gave them time to think about that too before saying anything else just yet, and he hoped it was what they were looking for. Robots and the like were a normal part of life at home for Minato, but none of them were like Legion.
"It's nice to meet you. Can I ask more about the 'terminal' you mentioned?"
no subject
Legion is quite unlike any robot, being both sapient and a swarm intelligence. Though even among other Geth, who share those qualities, they are almost entirely unique.
They chatter a bit as they consider Minato's question.
"We are a single unit composed of 1,183 programs, intended to be capable of acting as an means of communication with the Geth consensus in addition to functioning individually." So they're... kind of like an ambassador.
no subject
"Cool."
They were impressive, not just in appearance but in their abilities. He wondered what home would be like if they had robots like Legion there.
"Can I ask what powers you?"
He knew Legion had to be advanced, way beyond anything Minato could have imagined. But did they need something special to stay powered on?
no subject
"Acknowledged. Geth are capable of drawing power from multiple sources." Some, knowing about the technology of their world, might assume they were powered by element zero, but this is incorrect. The primary use of element zero is to alter mass, and electrical current must be applied to do so; it consumes power. Geth draw energy from their environment.
"It is efficient."
no subject
But multiple sources of power had to be convenient. He wondered though what those could be, but if they were efficient for Legion, then that was good. Minato would still worry even then though for them.
"Have you been in Wonderland long?"
Minato knelt down now, looking up at Legion and then down at the bunny. It was cute, and he wanted to pet it.
no subject
"You wish to pet it?"
no subject
Minato meant the petting the bunny part, not necessarily the staying for six months part.
"You're all right during events?" Minato had assumed then that the events would work in the same way around Legion as it would for anyone else. He wondered then too if any of his healing power would work on them.
no subject
They would not offer if it were otherwise.
"Yes. We lack the requirements of organics, and can be repaired in the event of injury." Though they've been doing a pretty good job of avoiding damage that's bad enough for them to require repairs, especially since Tali left. They find themselves reluctant to ask another for such assistance.
no subject
"Who knows how to repair you?"
That way, just in case something did happen--not that he was wishing it at all on them--he knew who to contact. Minato kind of wanted to know too how to fix them, but it was probably so beyond any knowledge he might've had now. It might not be a good idea to risk it, even if he were interested.
no subject
Legion, on the other hand, hesitates to answer.
"This unit is capable of self repair." They haven't had anyone that they've trusted to repair them since Tali left.
no subject
"That's useful. It'll help here."
He slowly got up to his feet. "Like healing. All of your programs have to work together?"
no subject
They repair themselves, though they lack the ability to enact more extensive repairs, because they do not trust any others to do so.

"Addendum: this preference is based on the assumption that we would be returning alive."
no subject
"But if you couldn't return alive, would you want to stay?"
no subject
"Do you desire to stay?" They headtilt slightly.
no subject
no subject
They headtilt slightly. It's an expression they have been making often since arriving in Wonderland.
"Are you alive in your home universe?"
no subject
"We'll make the most of our stay here then?"
no subject
They headtilt in the opposite direction.
"You did not answer our inquiry."
no subject
Minato had, but realized he hadn't answered it verbally. He had to get used to communicating out loud too sometimes, especially when it was for an important question like that.
"Does anyone else here besides your friends from home know you're not alive there?"
