Does anybody really know what time it is?

Who: Napstablook and YOU
Where: Throughout the Mansion
When: The event
Rating: PG, will update if more
Summary: Napstablook struggles with resets and swimming
The Story

I Don’t know where to go,
Ghosts don’t swim well. As their body becomes more opaque they float up to the ceiling, sometimes getting stuck in a lighting fixture. When they fade, they sink to the middle but can’t seem to move forward- or at all, really, just down. So they bob up and down, slowly making their way through the water, like a very clumsy jellyfish, apologizing when they bump into people and/or furniture.

II Don’t know where I am, (during/post flood)
This is the fourteenth time Napstablook has phased through the wall of your room and apologized.

“oh … oh gee i didn’t realize this was occupied, sorry…. I didn’t mean too um... i’ll… i’ll…..”

They stare at you, blinking. This is the first time they’ve gotten this far.

“oh. oh good…. I think it stopped….. sorry about that”

III Just run around, run around and think why
Wildcard!!! (pm me on plurk or this account if you’d like a closed starter!)

[ She listens hopefully, although the look of worry doesn't really go anywhere, just forms itself into a small pout and a crinkle in her forehead as her eyes stay wide.

Napstablook's really trying to help...

And maybe there's a chance she'll be able to swim it, that way? With a reassuring friend to hang onto?

Napstablook probably looks like a cute little squid, sort of, underwater...

Slowly, the pout morphs into a straining smile. ]

My clothes are gonna get all wet...

But that's worth a shot, I think?

The closet's sorta... broken. I never thought to keep a bathing suit in the drawers, 'cause usually I just pop 'em in my hamper wet and they go away.

[ He expression softens in disappointment, but for a moment she's also a little bit envious that Napstablook just needs to wear sheets and float without breathing. ] I already looked for a snorkle, before you got here....

Guess I just gotta swim really hard. If you'll be right there with me... I think I can do it.

[ Coraline giggles so spontaneously at the thought of Napstablook comparing themself to a pool noodle that she has to clap a hand over her mouth, grinning irrepressably. ]

If you float... won't we get stuck up near the ceiling? [ She wonders aloud, trying to sort out all of what she's got to do to get around the halls before taking a breathless plunge.] I guess I can climb into the doorframe from the top, right?

Well I guess... trying is better than not trying hard at all?

[ She began rolling up the sleeves of her pajamas and the pant legs of her bottoms, just to make sure that maximum sogginess wouldn't get too much in the way. It really was a shame she didn't keep a bathingssuit around, but maybe she could find a spare pair of dry clothes in the next room over. ]

Okay! [ Deep breath... she opened the door of her room. A wall of water stood magically before her, seeming to dye everything a strange bluish color beyond. It was clear, at least? She leaned sideways to try and peer this way and that without sticking her head in the water, and tested it with just a fingertip... it breached through the surface, and when she drew back, it was dripping. Don't be too scared, Coraline. ] Okay. Let's give it a shot. You go check things out first.
