Look into the Crystal Ball | Open
Who: Class 2-2 (Abigail Hobbs, Alphonse Elric, Becky Rosen, Bela Talbot, Bucky Barnes, Carlos, Cecil, Damon Salvatore, George Lass, Integra Hellsing, Jojen Reed, Leonard McCoy, Mr. Gold, Phil Coulson, Regina Mills, Teddy Altman) and whoever comes to visit! (OTA)
Where: Class 2-2’s Fortune Telling Booth (Second floor, second classroom)
When: Japanese High School AU Event (Saturday through Wednesday)
Rating: PG/PG-13 depending on the sort of Fortune’s being told
Summary: Come get your palms read! Or Blue! Or any color you desire! The Fortune Tellers are ready to peer into the void and produce a glimpse of your future or a profound statement from a fortune cookie. Catch-all for the Fortune Telling Booth!
The Story:
When the first person walks into the room they will see that the classroom has been transformed. The lights have been dimmed by someone hanging blue cellophane over the fluorescent lamps and the typical desks are now shifted and moved around the room, covered in exotic, lacey fabric. The chairs are hidden in the corner and large pillows surround the desks creating a warm, plush atmosphere. Ethereal music is drifting lightly through the room and some students are dressed as gypsies while others look more like swamis. There’s a light, fun atmosphere here and everyone whispers, moving from one table to the next, talking to their favorite Fortune Teller.
What will your fortune be? That depends on who your soothsayer ends up being. Perhaps you’ll find a riddle, a prophecy, or just a bit of advice. If you’re really lucky, the dark room and the soft music might lead to something more than just palm reading.
The choice is yours. And with all fortune telling, remember to choose wisely. You never know who in the class might be gifted with the “sight” and their fortunes might just come true.

Regina Mills | True Love Fortunes | OTA
She has a basket of apples off to the side, and an utterly charming smile on her face, so she looks nothing like the Regina nobody currently remember. It might be a simple children's game, but her results have been uncannily accurate so far.
Of course, sometimes they're so far offbase that it's just plain hilarious. If you'd rather know when you're going to die, or get a scarily accurate general reading of your future, she knows who to direct you to. Ms. Mills is dealing only in true love, thank you.]

You've done a good job decorating! I've never seen the classroom this, uh... shiny, before.

I didn't go too far, did I?

I think you're enjoying this.

[And then she looks up from where she's cleaning up some of the used peels. What on Earth are you -- okay no.]
What on earth are you wearing, Rumple?
[She's too distracted by the outfit to stop him from grabbing an apple, but she swats at his hand anyway.]

So... true love?
[He raises an eyebrow just a tiny bit in question.]
Is it accurate?
no subject
I haven't had any complaints.
[Yes she has. Still, she puts on a smile and hopefully the airs of an experienced fortune tell.]
Now, sit down and we can get started.

hi c:
even so, she's got a little time at the beginning of the day - clad in her first costume for the play as she explores. she stops into the section for regina's class if only to come by and say hi, eyes getting wide with excitement when she sees the booth. ]
This is so cool! [ hi regina. c: ]
hello friend c:
She isn't expecting to see too many of her friends during the festival, considering how intense their own projects are, so she lights up when Mary Margaret arrives.]
Mary Margaret! You don't think the white's too much?

He walks up to a table where a pretty girl is wearing a white dress. He swallows nervously and sits down, giving her a smile.
"Hi, I'm Peter. Those, um, are lovely apples."
no subject
"I use only the best!" That's a lie, but Peter doesn't need to know that. "It's lovely to meet you, Peter. Shall we get started?"

Well, somebody's popular today!
[He's still in his suit with the ridiculously long sleeves, but he left the mask back in his classroom in the interest of being able to see where the heck he's going and not fall down the stairs. Without it, he doesn't look very scary or threatening at all - the sleeves are so long that he just looks like an absurdly tall toddler. But he helps himself too a seat across from her.]
So, uh. Remind me what apples have to do with fortune-telling again? [Forever a skeptic, this one.]
no subject
True love is always popular.
[Her smile widens, because as much as she'd like to claim she doesn't really believe in the fortune telling, there's just something about it.
She picks up an apple, and holds it up in front of him.]
You peel the apple in one go, so the peel doesn't break and then you throw it behind you. When you turn around, the peel has formed the shape of your true love's first name!
[Which doesn't really make any sense and how can it form things like B and K, but for the purpose of this event it totally has been.]

Sneak away with me.

Robin! I can't, people keep coming to the table.

[ but like the whirlwind he views life to be, finnick does the unexpected — rather than leave the room and wander into another, he lingers, passing by the students, touching things he shouldn't. the moment finnick spies the basket of apples, he makes a detour toward her table and steals one from its wicker prison. taking a bite, he shrugs once he's swallowed, ] Nice apple. [ despite his words being snarky, his own tone is light and playful,] Did you foretell losing one within your crystal ball?
no subject
I'm not using a crystal ball. And you, Mr. Finnick Odair, [Full name because you're in the shit now, fishboy. Even if he is older than her.] are eating the tools of my trade.

[ true love. the more she thinks on it, the more she wishes to laugh and remove herself from the fortune telling class. love isn't true, it's merely chemicals and attraction and good timing. but instead of turning around and vacating, returning to her rest area to become bored with the time passing at a crawl like a snail, she circles regina's table with interest. sweeping her hair over her shoulder, she comes to stand in front of her. ] Are the apples for free?
no subject
[Who just so happens to misunderstand the point of the apples.] The apples, [she says without looking up, as she doesn't recognise the voice.] are the tools of my trade. [A smile creeps into her voice.] You can have one if you let me tell your fortune.
[Now she finally looks up, taking in her latest patron. She recognises the girl from the halls, but placing a name to the face is impossible with all the people she's seen lately. The book goes into her bag, as she clasps her hands on the table in front of her.] Interested?

Will eyes the basket at Regina's table, and symbology would have you believe that red and especially red apples have a lot to do with temptation. He can't shake the feeling that there is some Faustian bargain lurking if he takes a seat. It's utterly ridiculous that he gives it half a second's serious reflection, but then, teens do dumb things when they have crushes they want to know are reciprocated, so Will sits. ]
You're taking this pretty seriously. [ Says the guy that has just resigned himself to a similar fate. ]
no subject
Regina would have people believe the apples are from a personal tree, tended to by her own caring hand but. She's a teenager with a boyfriend, she doesn't have time for that. They're merely the cheapest by the bulk she could find, and if that just so happens to lure people in, well, she's not telling. When Will sits, like everybody else lured in by the sparkling and promise of true love, she smiles across the table at him.]
It's true love. Why would I take it less than anything but seriously? [The smile turns into a bit more of a smirk than necessary, as she pulls an apple from the basket.] Will, isn't it? From 2-3?
(no subject)
no subject
True love? [ she snorts. that's a bullshit idea if she ever heard of one. ] Are you serious?
no subject
About as serious as dying alone. [A harsh jab, maybe.] Why don't you let me tell your fortune, and then we'll see how seriously you should take it?

She raises an eyebrow as she approaches during a break, leaning forward and propping herself up with one hand on the table.]
So, how's peddling lies and false hope going for you?

instead, he had been making his rounds at the festival. last minute rehearsals could take a (temporary) back seat to his exploration of all the things the other classes had set up. when he wanders into this, however, Nico's a little stunned. sure, he's seen the fortune telling machines that you toss a few coins in and it spits out one of those tiny cards, but actual fortune telling? well- he isn't so much a skeptic as some might believe.
he lingers in front of Regina's set up, looking at the sign and canting his head to the side, curious. ]
But what happens if someone has more than one true love?
