Party Rock is in the House Tonight
Who: Everyone!
Where: The Ballroom.
When: Evening, 03/21/2015
Rating: T-ish, will warn if anything gets out of hand.
Summary: It is Billy Kaplan's birthday, and Loki is intent on throwing him a party.
The Story:

Loki is not a good friend. This is something about himself that he knows all too well.
He is, however, trying to be one. And he knows that when human birthdays come around, what one does for a friend is throw a party.
Asgardians are not known for doing things half ways.
The Party
The Mansion has been very helpful. Loki has figured out he can make the Mansion change its shape, so the proper ballroom has been transformed into a classy nightclub. There is a bar on one side, tables scattered around, and, of course, a dance floor. Loki has personally raided the kitchen for alcohol and party food, though it is very much help yourself.
One of the tables is obviously decked out for the guest of honor. A large cake sits on it, covered in dark blue frosting accentuated with white swirls. A banner exclaiming "Happy Birthday!" is hung above it.
Modern dance music fills the air, some songs that Loki recognizes and others he has never heard of, but they fit the mood. The lights on the dance floor look like someone has put multiple star projectors all together; everything is very galaxy-themed.
The organizer himself may be found tasting the drinks, admiring his work from somewhere along the wall, or even on the dance floor.

So, the wolf stepped into the ballroom with a wrapped box in hand. What did you get someone that knows magic in Wonderland for his birthday? He just hoped it wasn't too stupid. Like the Remembrall he'd gotten him after the Jabberwocky event as a joke. He set the box down on a table and went to mingle a bit, looking for the birthday boy himself.

"Whoever set this up did an awesome job. One of Billy's good friends was sent home a while ago and I think he just needs to be reminded that he's not alone." He smiles warmly, despite the odd scent he picked up from this guy. "I'm Scott, by the way. You um... remind me of someone."
no subject
"I get that a lot." It seems like a lot of people had met his other self. He had forgotten to ask exactly how long he had been here. "I am glad you approve of my party-planning skills, however."
no subject
Scott made a face, trying to place why, but he just couldn't. He actually hadn't met your other self here,
because that would be player-cest, oh wellhowever, he might have seen an old comic or two. But he smiled anyway, wider when Loki admitted to being the party planner."Oh wow, you did this?" He looked around the room quickly then back at Loki. "You either have an insanely strong imagination or you have magic like Billy's because last time I was in the ballroom it was kinda boring." You'll have to excuse him, he currently hasn't realised the lower couple floors beneath his are letting you warp them.
He stepped back to get a fuller look of Loki from head to toe, brows knitting together in thought. "You're from Billy's world, aren't you?" Because let's face it, Loki, you're dressed weird. The kid's wearing tartan for gods sake and you're in scalemail and a
tiaradiadem. "Or Tasha's? You're dressed like a superhero, anyway." Oh Scott, you poor, sweet summer child. Don't quit your night job, kiddo...no subject
Don't knock the tiara."I am from Billy's, yes. Do you think I look superhero like?" he asked, not certain whether to be pleased or not. Decades of old hatred for them was difficult to not be affected by, but he remembered how good it had felt to be someone's hero.

"Yeah, you do. But... you don't like that idea, do you?" He canted his head slightly and frowned. He seemed as different as Teddy was, but not the same kind of different. Now he was curious. He wanted to use his eyes to see if this newcomer had an aura like Billy's or Kira's, but that would immediately give him away in this semi-darkened room. Another moment was had contemplating this before he just let it go entirely and the smile returned. "Even if you're not a hero, you're one of Billy's friends and that makes you pretty awesome, anyway." Scott happened to be one of the most forgiving people Loki would probably meet next to Billy himself.

He shoved his hands in his pockets, turning his gaze on Scott instead. "Are you a friend of his?" he asked curiously. He too knew that Billy collected oddball friends, and part of him wondered what made this one interesting.
no subject
"Yeah. We've been through some stuff together here. We kinda met by accident, but he's helped me out more than I can even repay." The puppy isn't under any kind of truth curse, but he certainly is a vaguely open book. For the most part.

Billy OTA
No one has ever actually thrown him a party before. Yes, when he was a kid his mother threw them but that didn't count that was almost required. As he got older he didn't have friends to invite to parties so it was just special family dinners. Once he met Teddy and the rest of the Young Avengers he'd always had someone to celebrate with, but still those were small things, dinner and a movie. This, this was a party.
Teddy looked as surprised as he was so it had to be Loki who threw it. Looked like both Lokis were surprising him today.
So he's enjoying himself, drinking, dancing, mingling with friends, and of course having a giant piece of cake.

"Come on, Birthday Boy," Teddy says with a wink. "I need to fill up your dance card."

"So, would you say it was a good birthday?"

He walked around the room, checking out the sights and the sounds. When he's not with the birthday boy, Teddy can be found getting a drink at the refreshment table or seeing how he can program certain songs into the iPod Loki has st up as DJ.
no subject
"Are you judging my music tastes?" Loki looked down his nose at Teddy with a haughty expression that quickly disappeared into a teasing grin.
no subject
"I didn't know you were a big ABBA fan."

"Anyway, I just wanted to see if I could pick out a couple of slow songs. Techno and dubstep are fine but a little mood music has it's place."
He stops fiddling with the ipod for the moment. "Thanks for throwing this party. It really means a lot to Billy. It's been..."
Teddy was about to say a rough year but something feels strangely off, as though a piece of him was missing. He shakes his head. Wonderland could do that to you sometimes. "It hasn't always been easy. When I first showed up in Wonderland I was three years younger. It's funny how a few years can create a giant chasm between two people."

"I thought it was a typical Midgardian tradition," Loki admitted, feeling rather awkward that he had got it wrong. Television had failed him. "But I do hope it makes him feel better." Which was an awkward truth, considering the source. Loki was not used to admitting he cared about that sort of thing.
