Where: All over the Citadel.
When: 4/1 - 4/4
Rating: PG for Kanji's mouth.
Summary: Space adventure! Time to see what the Citadel has to offer.
The Story:
silversun strip/castle arcade
[After Kanji gets over his initial bout of culture shock, he goes into full-on tourist mode. He spends a little time at the shops in the Wards, but the real draw ends up being the Silversun Strip-- a beacon for tourists of all kinds, it seems. The Castle Arcade is a huge draw, and he’ll easily spend hours trying his luck with the games there, either alone or with any friends who want to join him-- not to mention a few rounds of what passes for laser tag here over at the Armax Arena.
Naturally, food is still a necessity in the future, and he’ll be intent on checking out the local restaurants as well, eating way more than he probably needs to but insisting that this is a once and a lifetime chance. When is he ever going to get the opportunity to dine in space again? Either way, he’s happy to invite friends to join him throughout their stay on the Citadel, whether it’s to play or shop or eat. Events like these never last, and it’s rare that they have one that’s genuinely fun. Time to make the most of it, guys.]
the presidium
[The wealth of information concerning Council space and the Citadel’s government and trade policies available is sure to draw any number of inquiring minds to the Presidium-- but Kanji doesn’t seem to notice or care where he is, hands deep in his pockets as he walks past the embassies, following a Keeper that seems equally impervious to its surroundings. He’s been scolded a time or two about trying to approach Keepers already, but this is the first one he’s seen in motion rather than working, and he can’t help being curious.
He looks over his shoulder to make sure he’s not being watched by any Citadel staff before following the Keeper around the next bend, stopping abruptly when he realizes the creature has paused to scan and examine an electrical panel. As the Keeper settles in to work, Kanji crouches down beside it, leaning in to try and get a better look, reaching out to let his hand hover above its head-- not quite touching it just yet, but definitely tempting fate.]
Hey there, little guy. I’m not botherin’ you, am I?
[Whatever this thing actually is or does, it’s cute as hell, in a weird kind of way.]
wildcard
[Whatever you want! Feel free to shoot me a PM or hit me up atnecrofancy if you want to plan out something specific, otherwise have at it!]

Yeah, I've always been, uhm, p-pretty good at claw machines.
[She reaches down into the pile of glowing orbs that the machine spits out and cracks one open like a gashapon egg to reveal a miniature plush Volus inside.]
Some of the prizes are these, uhm, plush t-toys of the alien species here! I'm trying to see how many they have.
no subject
[Honest question here. Really. He grins broadly when she shows him what she'd pulled out of the machine-- it's round and plush, and that's at least half of the Kanji Tatsumi litmus test.]
Hey, that's kinda cute... think we'll get to keep 'em when we're done?
no subject
It's probably just the, uh, reflex actions from video games. It's good training for knowing when to hit the buttons. But, uh, I d-don't know! I'm not sure what I'd do with them all if I got to keep, uh, every single one. There's... there's a l-lot.
[Honestly, she was just having fun winning something. She hasn't the slightest what she'll do with all these winnings.]
no subject
[Obviously. They're too cute not to show off.]
Although at the rate you're goin', I guess you'd probably run out of space, huh...
no subject
[Whoooooops.]
... Do you, uhm, want one?
no subject
[Hell yeah, he'll take one, but not if it means Alphys is missing out.]
I could always win one of my own. Hell, kinda wanna make copies of some of 'em, see if I can make 'em a little better.
no subject
[And if he wants one... plus, it's cute to give gifts in arcades to people, right? That's like, such an anime thing.]
no subject
Alphys would definitely know.]You got a point. They might not let us keep anything, but worth a shot, ain't it? Maybe I can make a few improvements on the ones we do get to keep.
no subject
T-That would be so cute! I'd love to see it. I mean, w-when you're done, and no rush or anything.
no subject
[He blushes a little, but he looks pleased overall.]
Don't got a lot of people who are interested in seein' my stuff. Always glad to show it off when someone wants to have a look.
no subject
[Having items she won from a space claw game is one thing, but handmade, personalized ones from a friend? Priceless.]
no subject
[His cheeks flush darker as he rubs at the back of his neck.]
That kinda stuff ain't always appreciated at home.
no subject
[He'd... make something special??? Just because she asked???]
That would be, uhm, amazing! I don't want to overwhelm you or, uh, t-take advantage or anything, I mean, I'd want to give you something back...
no subject
[He's never been good about accepting payment of any kind.]
I just-- like doin' it. It's nice to have a reason to, sometimes.
no subject
[She could be inventing all kinds of things, but she very rarely does unless it's to fill some sort of need.]
Well, uhm... in that case, uh, o-okay! I'll think of something! Unless, uh, you'd be cool with making some sort of Mew Mew doll...
no subject
[Mew Mew's her favorite. He can definitely give that a shot.]
Just get me a reference pic or two, okay?
no subject
[AaaaaaaaAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH THIS IS SO EXCITING SHE COULD BURST]
In the meantime, uh, you c-can still keep that doll! If you want! For, uh, stuff!
no subject
[He smiles, giving the doll a little squeeze between his hands as he draws it closer to his chest.]
Thanks, Alphys. Real nice of you. I should let you get back to your game, but if you wanna grab somethin' to eat later or-- y'know, anything like that, lemme know.
no subject
[Easier than calling. But she does intend to run this claw machine for everything it's worth first.]
no subject
[He waves before backing off-- best of luck, Alphys. You show that machine who's boss.]
