Where: All over the Citadel.
When: 4/1 - 4/4
Rating: PG for Kanji's mouth.
Summary: Space adventure! Time to see what the Citadel has to offer.
The Story:
silversun strip/castle arcade
[After Kanji gets over his initial bout of culture shock, he goes into full-on tourist mode. He spends a little time at the shops in the Wards, but the real draw ends up being the Silversun Strip-- a beacon for tourists of all kinds, it seems. The Castle Arcade is a huge draw, and he’ll easily spend hours trying his luck with the games there, either alone or with any friends who want to join him-- not to mention a few rounds of what passes for laser tag here over at the Armax Arena.
Naturally, food is still a necessity in the future, and he’ll be intent on checking out the local restaurants as well, eating way more than he probably needs to but insisting that this is a once and a lifetime chance. When is he ever going to get the opportunity to dine in space again? Either way, he’s happy to invite friends to join him throughout their stay on the Citadel, whether it’s to play or shop or eat. Events like these never last, and it’s rare that they have one that’s genuinely fun. Time to make the most of it, guys.]
the presidium
[The wealth of information concerning Council space and the Citadel’s government and trade policies available is sure to draw any number of inquiring minds to the Presidium-- but Kanji doesn’t seem to notice or care where he is, hands deep in his pockets as he walks past the embassies, following a Keeper that seems equally impervious to its surroundings. He’s been scolded a time or two about trying to approach Keepers already, but this is the first one he’s seen in motion rather than working, and he can’t help being curious.
He looks over his shoulder to make sure he’s not being watched by any Citadel staff before following the Keeper around the next bend, stopping abruptly when he realizes the creature has paused to scan and examine an electrical panel. As the Keeper settles in to work, Kanji crouches down beside it, leaning in to try and get a better look, reaching out to let his hand hover above its head-- not quite touching it just yet, but definitely tempting fate.]
Hey there, little guy. I’m not botherin’ you, am I?
[Whatever this thing actually is or does, it’s cute as hell, in a weird kind of way.]

[Whatever you want! Feel free to shoot me a PM or hit me up atnecrofancy if you want to plan out something specific, otherwise have at it!]
SILVERSUN STRIP
Can you believe this, Kanji?

It's crazy, isn't it? I've seen some stuff that's pretty damn out there, but I've never been anywhere like this before. It's way cooler than what visiting space back home must be like for astronauts and stuff-- no space stations there, just rocks and stars.
no subject
[Man some of those fashion space magazines look really cool though?? Even if they're for species that aren't really human.]

So when she spots someone walking by she waves him over despite not knowing him.]
Fancy a round?

You talkin' to me?
no subject
It would appear I am, is that a problem?

[He clears his throat a little, shaking his head.]
Surprising. You want me to play you?

Hey, any good at shooting things?

He'd just finished up with what looks like a dancing game nearby, face flushed from exertion, but he cracks a smile at the question.]
Not the greatest, but I'd be willing to give it a shot. [No pun intended.] Lookin' for a partner?
no subject
[ But also, that dancing game looks fun and she might have to give it a shot. Maybe. She extends the second 'gun' to him with a grin. ]
Interested?
no subject
[Digital or Shadow, it doesn't matter. Both are good. He grins, reaching to take the second gun from him.]
I'm Kanji.

Well, he didn't expect to find a fellow human approaching one of the aliens like it's a pet, fully ready to pat it on its head. Steve stops in his tracks as soon as he witnesses it, not sure for a second what to even do in this situation. Still, if he doesn't intervene this could end in disaster.
So he steps over, clearing his throat to get the attention of the other human. ]
Just a guess, but touching without asking is probably an intergalactic taboo.
[ Steve does his best to be polite about it, but the last thing he needs is for some sort of incident to break out in a government building. The kid should really know better, even if he's just trying to be friendly. ]
no subject
I'm not lookin' to break any taboos, just-- just sayin' hi, you know? Wasn't gonna hurt 'im or anything.
[Seriously, this thing is adorable, how could he resist?]
He didn't seem to mind, anyway.
no subject
The Keeper looks between the two of them before continuing its work. Steve can't assume anything about reading the mood of an alien, but it really does seem completely unaffected. ]
Yeah, guess not...
[ Steve moves a little closer, though still keeps a good five feet of distance between him and both of the other parties here. He's curious about what the Keeper is doing, he'll admit that much. ]
You don't belong here either, right? You're from Wonderland?
[ It's not exactly hard to tell. ]
no subject
Kanji nods to confirm, his face cooling in the process.]
Yeah-- I mean, not originally, obviously, but the last year or so.
[Funny, how quickly that time had gone by.]

H-Hey! Kanji, how're you doing?
no subject
Doin' pretty well-- I mean, we're in space. Kinda hard to have a bad day here. This place has everything-- wish the arcade back home had some of these games. You get anything good outta this yet?
no subject
Yeah, I've always been, uhm, p-pretty good at claw machines.
[She reaches down into the pile of glowing orbs that the machine spits out and cracks one open like a gashapon egg to reveal a miniature plush Volus inside.]
Some of the prizes are these, uhm, plush t-toys of the alien species here! I'm trying to see how many they have.

He also may have gotten into a fight with a Krogan over his hair.
(He won.)
But things calm down and he begins exploring on his own. The Keepers have weirded him out a little, considering their... everything, but when he sees Kanji examining one he wanders over and squats down next to him.]
Get an answer?
no subject
Not yet. These things don't seem all that talkative. They're freakin' everywhere, though. Makes you kinda curious-- they're workers, right? How do they communicate with whoever's givin' 'em orders?
[Look. He can't help thinking about these things, especially when the subject in question is so damn adorable.]
no subject
That's what it looks like? They're always poking away at the consoles, like the rest of us aren't even here. But we're in space, right? Maybe they have uh... What's it called.... Telepathy?

Armax Arena /arrives late with starbucks
Problem was, she needed a partner.
That was when she happened to see Kanji passing by her.]
Excuse me! S-Sorry for suddenly approaching you since we don't really know each other but... [She pauses, feeling a little shy to talk to a stranger. (Not to mention that he looked a bit intimidating, he almost reminded her of a classmate back home.)]
Would you like to be my partner in a game of laser tag? Feel free to say no if it's too much trouble!
/returns to respond late with some apology starbucks of my own <3
Him? She's talking to him?]
You mean me?
[He flushes, just a little. He even has a girlfriend these days, but he's still not used to Wonderland being a place where girls talk to him instead of just make fun of him.]
Uh-- yeah, sure! I did a round earlier, was thinkin' of goin' again. It's fun-- you ever done this before?
we be giving each other late starbucks!! ♥
Yes, you!
[Sorry Kanji, she can't help but giggle a little at your reaction. However, because of that reaction, she does feel a whole lot more relaxed while speaking to him. What an approachable person!]
Ah, you did? What perfect timing, then! [Her cheeks start to flush a light shade of pink, she was feeling a little embarrassed to admit that she never played a game of laster tag before.] W-Well um, truth be told... this is my first time playing laser tag. I've always been interested in playing, but I just never had the time back home. So, when I stumbled here, I just had to try it out!
