[OPEN] Living like a washed up celebrity
Who: Sayaka Maizono & YOU!
Where: In the mansion or one of the tears with alternate universes.
When: Throughout the event ( April 21st - 24th )
Rating: PG-13 to R! One of these tears will have violence and death.
Summary: In which this idol has to deal with invisible creatures and strange alternate universes. Sayaka's event catchall!
The Story:
Day 2-A: Monkey see-- wait I don't see anything
[Today was weirder than usual, Sayaka could have sworn that she heard some strange barking and meowing every so often? Every time she would try to find the source of the sound, she didn't see anything nearby that could have made that noise. At first she shrugged it off and assumed that she was just hearing things. Stranger things have happened in Wonderland, right?
As she was walking through the hallways, something invisible suddenly crashes into the window she happened to pass by, completely shattering the glass. She could hear something hissing at her and Sayaka immediately starts screaming.]
W-What is that?! What... what is going on?!
Day 2-B: Happy home, Happy hearts
[A small tear has appeared in the music room and inside that tear, is the view of a very happy looking father and daughter pair. The daughter is clearly Sayaka and she's giggling and waving at her father, getting ready to leave home.
"Bye Dad! I can't wait to tell you about what happens at school today."
Suddenly, a older woman quickly runs out, holding out a lunch box for Sayaka. "Sayaka, you silly girl! You nearly forgot your lunch."
"Oh, sorry about that mom! Thank you. I don't know what I would do without you."]
M-Mom...?
[Back in Wonderland Sayaka doesn't want to stop watching and is standing there, frozen in shock as she continues to watch the tear. Someone might need to pull her away?]
Day 4: You're tearing me apart, Lisa!
[Either by accident, or in order to escape the invisible zombies, Sayaka will end up jumping into one of the tears. Your character can follow her through the tears, or she ends up taking you with her in order to stay safe.]
[Day 2-A is a Wonderland prompt, Day 2-B is Sayaka looking into a tear watching AU!Sayaka and Day 4 features your character, original Sayaka, AU!Sayaka inside a tear. Any Dangans are also more than welcomed to bring in their own AU!versions of their character into these universes, provided that it fits the theme (example: Class 78 Remnants of Despair versions of characters in the Despair tear, Talent swap characters in the talent swap universe, etc)
If you'd rather be inside of a different AU, please feel free to chose anything from this list of AUs and I can write you a starter. Pick a number from the list above and leave it with your comment OR you can also pm this journal, hit me up at
konimi if you want to discuss details.]

Day 4-A: Kill your Idols [Jumping into this tear was probably a huge mistake. The world is a complete disaster, the buildings all around are destroyed and in complete disarray. There doesn't seem to be any sign of much life in this city. Despite the lack of people, music and singing could be heard from inside a nearby concert hall. Even though this world was pretty much like a dystopian setting, there was still some kind of concert going on? Curiously, Sayaka decides to check it out and finds herself standing in the audience of the concert. She narrows her eyes and watches the girl that was performing on stage, she already knew from the singing voice that the girl was herself.] I hope that you enjoyed that performance from everyone's favorite idol, Sayaka Maizono. For all of my lovely fans, I have a huge favor I need to ask of you. [At a glance this seems like a normal concert, but when you take a closer look at the Sayaka that's on stage. It's easy to tell that something is very wrong. Her eyes were bloodshot red, and the expression on her face is a look of someone that's gone completely mad with despair.] Help me fill this world with despair. ♥ Crush any bit of hope and let's completely dye this world with nothing but a dark, hopeless despair. [The concert ends with everyone in the audience cheering, proclaiming that they would help bring this world into despair. Everyone quickly rushes out, with the exception of the original Sayaka who is hiding behind some seats and the alternate Sayaka, who was gathering her things from the stage and getting ready to leave. Maybe you were better off trying to fight invisible zombies.] |
Day 4-B: It's time to swap talents! [Luckily in this tear, the world is completely normal. Standing before you is the mighty and illustrious Hope's Peak Academy, a school that is well known in Japan for only scouting out students with talents. When stepping inside of the school, the hallways are long and grand and there are several rooms throughout the building. It really is the definition of a super private high school and it almost feels overwhelming. Sayaka's so busy looking shocked and taking the time to explore the school, that she and another girl end up running into each other.] O-Ouch... sorry, I didn't mean to bump into you. [When you and Sayaka turn your head to the very familiar voice, another version of Sayaka steps out, looking puzzled at the two of you. However, this alternate Sayaka has short hair, is wearing the Hope's Peak Academy uniform and despite that both Sayaka's have the same face, this alternate version of Sayaka somehow looks more plain and less glamerous than the original idol counter part. She looks plainfully average. However, she does take note of the lack of Hope's Peak uniforms.] Who are you? |

[Sayaka looks over at the stage, her alternate self was simply picking up herself, without a single care in the world.]
L-Let's try to sneak out of here, Otonashi-san. I would hate to see what would happen if we got caught by her.
I'M SO SORRY
[She'll make an attempt, she really will. Only to stop midway through the escape attempt because...]
Um, have you seen my notebook?
[Oh no.]
DON'T BE, THIS IS AMAZING
Sayaka had wanted to ask her "Do you remember the last place you had your notebook?" But she realized that this was a dumb question to ask.]
N-No um... hmmm
[She quietly peers over the seats and notices that her despair crazy self was ... gone? Did they really get that lucky? For some reason, she doubts it and has this terrible feeling.]
Well, your notebook is important to you, so I would think it should be close by, right? Maybe it got lost in the crowd of people during the concert. We can look around the seats if you'd like?
no subject
[Ryoko'll look too and breathe a sigh of relief since the coast looks clear.]
I don't remember where I was though, so you'll have to help me.
no subject
[She still can't deny that she had an overall bad feeling about this.
For now, she needed to ignore that and focus on helping Ryoko find her notebook, then they can book it out of here.]
Of course I'll help you! That's what friends are for. Let's see... we can start by looking in the seats and floor.
[Carefully and quietly, Sayaka starts to dig through the nearby seats by Ryoko.]
no subject
It's not here!
[Or at least, she can't find it. And that was kind of loud, good thing everybody's gone right? Especially since Ryoko's starting to panic a little.]
Where did it go? I need my notebook, it has everything in it.
[She's just looking around from chair to chair now, trying to remember where it was and coming up short. Because of course she can't remember a thing.]
no subject
[No notebook gets left behind! Even though she is a little startled by, Ryoko's louder voice. But no one else was around so it should be okay... right?
She was persistant and she continues to look in the seats and under the seats.]
If only this place wasn't so dark. Seriously, who has a concert in the dark? You can hardly even see anything.
[Yourself, Sayaka. That's who.]
no subject
[When she says that, she's a lot quieter because it's...well, it's a pretty sobering thought. There's no real reason to view it as such, it's just an expression, and the stadium's seemingly empty, but at the same time, it's Wonderland and...these things happen.]
And um, I guess that person would? The one who kind of looked like...you.
[Go figure, she didn't forget that one yet. Probably because she hasn't really stopped thinking about it. If there's a weird Sayaka here, are there weird version of her other friends? What about her? What's even going on with all that anyway? So many questions, and probably no answers.]
no subject
[She also can't help but wonder the same thing. If this was an alternate universe where she was weird, then would the rest of her classmates be like this?
Just before Sayaka could ponder any longer, the spotlights in the concert hall start going off one by one, making the whole surroundings brighter. This catches Sayaka off guard and she lets out a small yelp, before quickly covering her mouth.]
O-O-Otonashi-san, you didn't cause that... did you?
[She knew this was a stupid question to ask, but she needed some sort of sliver of hope that this wasn't who she thought it was.]
no subject
Um, no, it wasn't. It couldn't have been.
[Unfortunately, expected as it is for people from their world, that hope might turn to despair.]
...is someone there?
[She's as much asking Sayaka as she is trying to see if maybe there's someone helpful out there. PROBABLY NOT THOUGH.]
no subject
[HOPE IS DEAD. At least, that's how things in their world tend to feel like.]
Whoever you are, please come on out.
[Sayaka knew that she was going to regret those words.]
Sorry, Sorry, let me do a quick mic test first. [She causually starts humming to herself as she taps the microphone.] Testing, Testing... okay! It works for sure. ♥
[A giggle escapes from her lips, but it wasn't the usual playful giggle that the original Sayaka would normally do. There was definitely a more diabolic tone in that laugh.]
What do we have here? I thought that everyone who was watching the concert left already but it seems like we still have some little rats sneaking around. State your buisness here, now.
no subject
But no one will probably accept that answer, and while she should probably whisper to Sayaka and ask what they should do, she ends up doing something incredibly foolish instead.]
Um, I was looking for my notebook. It's very important to me. Have you seen it?
[...yeah this was probably not her brightest idea.]
no subject
Sayaka knew that they had to get out of here asap. As much as she wanted to run away and never look back, she didn't want to leave her friend behind, especially since her important notebook was still missing. However, she could still not get rid of the cold chill up her spine. Staring at her other self was one of the most unsettling things she's ever witnessed.]
W-We would um... greatly appreciate it if you have any idea of where the notebook might me. A-And we'll be out of your way, I p-promise.
[The other Sayaka pretends to ponder to herself, tilting her head to the side before she suddenly hits the palm of her hand with her fist.]
Oh! I think I might have.
[Suddenly, she pulls out a notebook from behind her, waving it in the air at the two girls with a devious grin on her face.]
Do you mean this notebook?
no subject
[She has no idea if she should stay here or run down there and see if she can get the notebook from the other Sayaka. Is it even her notebook? But if it is, she has to get it back. She absolutely has to Ryoko can't be without her notebook.]
It might be!
[That's not a good answer, but she's not sure what would be a good answer right now.]
And um...my friend's right. Once I have my notebook back, we'll leave. I promise. Whatever you have going on here, it has nothing do with us. Nothing at all.
no subject
But she definitely didn't want to question her on the chance that it would irritate her. Every so often, her eyes darted around the arena, trying to figure out the best way to grab the notebook from her and just run.]
She's absolutely right! This doesn't have anything to do with us. If you just hand over the notebook to us, we promise to leave.
[The despair crazy Sayaka tilts her head at that statement, taking a good look at the original Sayaka.]
I somewhat doubt that, especially with my doppelgänger standing over there. The last time I checked, I don't have a twin and besides...
[Despite the permanent sneer on her face, she actually looks quite confused.]
How are you two still normal after that concert? All my performances bring despair onto people, you two are the first to not be effected by my singing..
no subject
[This really has absolutely nothing to do with Ryoko Otonashi. She doesn't know why there's two Sayakas, how someone singing could create despair, and in fact, the word despair holds no particular meaning for her outside of some stray pages in her notebook. So all of this she's hearing really couldn't have less to do with her. If it wasn't for the notebook, why Ryoko would have just turned around and headed straight back to Wonderland.]
And I've always been like this, and once I get my notebook back we'll be going, and then you won't have a twin because we'll both go back to where we came from, and um...um...
[She sort of ran out of things to say.]
1/2 I'M SO SORRY
There was also a good chance that she was becoming a little irritated by her counterpart's condescending attitude towards them.]
She's right. Once we get out of here, you won't even have to see me ever again, I can assure you of that. Just please hand over the notebook and let us be.
[It looked like she was actually considering letting them go. However, a sudden ring from her cellphone causes her to stop.]
Let me take this call real quick!
[She turns her back to the two, but the conversation could still be easily heard.] Yeah, I ran into some weird girl and my Doppelgänger and they weren't effected by my singing at all? What do you think I should do~? [There's some silence as she's listening to the conversation, saying a few "yeahs" and "huh uhs" before she finally hangs up.
Once she puts her phone up, she carefully places the notebook onto the ground and clenches onto her microphone stand.]
I hate to say this, but the higher up orders are to eliminate you. It was nice talking to the both of you but good ♥ bye.
[The microphone stand is suddenly wacked onto the stage and the bottom part pops off, revealing a knife at the end of it.]
2/2
The next time an event liked this happened. Sayaka swore that she was never jumping into a tear ever again, she seriously wished she took her chances with the invisible zombies instead.
She quickly runs over to Ryoko, grabbing onto her hand.]
O-Otonashi-san! Let's run!
no subject
[That's a knife. That's definitely a knife. Microphones and knives shouldn't go together. This absolutely, one hundred percent has nothing to do with Ryoko at all. Of all the tears to go through, why did she have to pick this one.
And while the word despair holds no real significance for her, she can't help but feel her hopes draining away as she starts to run with Sayaka. She's not slowing down or anything, but she's definitely freaking out over things that are far less important than a crazy version of her friend wielding some sort of kniferophone.]
But we have to get my notebook, she has it, and all my memories are in there, and I don't know what I'll do without it. It has everything about you or the others or Matsuda-kun. Without it I...I won't remember anything!
no subject
But no, she was not going to do that. Ryoko was a dear friend to her and she cared about her a lot. The last thing she was going to do was leave her behind. One of the promises she made after learning about her fate back home was to change. She was not going to succumb to despair like she was about to back home. Most importantly, she was not going to sacrifice a good friend for her own selfish desires once again.]
Otonashi-san... [She looks touched by her words. It made her heart swell with happiness that she didn't want to forget her time with all of her friends.] Okay. I understand. Your notebook is very important and we definitely do not need to leave it behind. Let's get your notebook first and then we'll get out of here together?
[Luckily for them, the despair crazy Sayaka was still a good distance away.
The original Sayaka gently pulls Ryoko close to her and speaks in a whisper.]
I have an idea. I'll distract her and in the meantime, you can go grab your notebook.
no subject
Are you sure? You could get hurt.
[...or worse, given the whole knife wielding clone or whatever is going on here. But she's not going to say that. Still, it's dangerous, and while her memory isn't the greatest, Ryoko's pretty sure people don't usually involve her in plans like this.]
no subject
[She nervously gulps and slowly starts walking on ahead.]
Just focus on getting your notebook back, okay? I'll do whatever I can to support you. [And hopefully not die.
With those famous last words, she starts running back to where her crazy clone was.]
no subject
[Okay, here goes. Don't screw this up. Without her notebook, she can't really analyze things and come up with some ridiculous strategy to get her notebook back. In fact, Ryoko doesn't even remember she can do that without her notebook, so...
They're doomed.
No, not really. But she'll stick to something simple and easy to remember. While Sayaka's moving to confront her knife wielding double, she'll move off to the side and stay low, hiding behind the seats as much as possible to make her way over there. It's a sound plan...probably? Or at least she hopes it is.]
1/2
Suddenly, she hears footsteps behind her. As much as she wishes that it was Ryoko, she knew in her heart that it wasn't. Her eyes immediately grew wide when she finds herself staring face to face with her scary clone.]
Aha! There ♪ you ♪ are.
[With a sinister sounding giggle, she quickly starts slashing at Sayaka with her kniferophone. Luckily for the original Sayaka, she's able to dodge, but barely.]
It truly is a shame that I have to eliminate you. I really wanted to know what's the deal with you looking just like me.
[For a very brief second, she considers letting them go but...]
Oh well! I can't disobey the higher up's orders.
2/2
Sayaka just hoped that Ryoko remembered where the notebook was.
...
Now, she was beginning to wonder if this was a good idea or not.]
