Summary: Science + metahuman powers = ?????? ; AKA: Fitz and Cisco try to break a hole through Wonderland's barriers in their attempts to reach another dimension, but the experiment has gone sideways! Mirror Cisco is on the loose in the mansion and he's determined to wreck his Real's life in the most disastrous ways possible and will be trying to fool people when and where he can. WHO will discover this slippery switch?! How much chaos will M!Cisco leave behind?!

[He drops easily down into the seat across from Daisy, leaning against his arms on the table a little.]

[Not exactly what she was expecting to hear, even though she knew Fitz at least had been working on that. To hear that it didn't work was also not a surprise, but disappointing just the same.]

You sound less than thrilled. [He tips his head a little.] And I can't decide if that's cause you'd rather be here or because you're as bummed as we are it didn't work.

[Bummed is probably the wrong word. Fitz was completely expecting it to fail, so he had seemed pretty at ease with the whole thing going the way it had appeared to go anyway.]

You know what they say, try, try again and all that. [He shrugs one shoulder, nonchalant.] We'll get there.

[She doesn't know him that well, but she does care enough about him. The fact that he's a living, breathing, person is enough to make her concerned.]

I'm not saying there's no risk, but I don't think the risk is that high. Plus, [He leans back in his seat a little, spreading his hands.] no risk, no reward, right? You can't achieve anything worth something without standing to lose something of equal value in return.

We just have to keep trying, that's all. It's kind of how science goes. Loooots of trial and error, yanno? We'll figure it out eventually. [He doesn't want to talk about Fitz, but he has to play this game whether he likes it or not. Can't fool people if he doesn't act his part, can he?]

Mmm, not as much as you might think. I think he expected it to fail. This was...more the baseline reading of things, you know? What we'll compare all our next attempts to when we try again.

Not yet. We have to rework some of our equations, kinda dependent on that. [And the fact that he doesn't c a r e.]

[She'd ask for the details, but they'd probably just go over her head. Or maybe that was just how it was with Fitz, who expected everyone to understand his science-y language.

Smiling tightly when he pointed at her, Daisy gave a shrug as she leaned back in her seat.]

Just trying not to die during these events. Kind of came really close the last time.

[Too close. She probably would've died if it hadn't been for Ward. Which was still bizarre to think about and didn't sit right with her.]
