[open] We have a method for spies and intruders...
Who: Mirror!Zack aka Issac and YOU!
Where: Mirrorside
When: From May 14th to May 20th
Rating: PG13 due to kidnapping trauma, violent thoughts, religious undertones, and potential swearing. Will raise rating if necessary.
Summary: Issac sticks around on the Mirrorside, setting up traps for the stray Real things.
The Story:
[It all happened so fast. Issac remembers he was elsewhere, trying to reconcile with his adoptive father, before he was pulled into this strange land and told he wasn't real. That was a week ago, and now the Queen of this land is telling everyone to invade, attack, and steal, and he's not sure what's going on and why he's compelled to help.]
[He decides to stay on the mirrorside for now, since he did figure out a way he could punish the sinners...]
OPTION A: Ropes
[Issac usually prefers death traps to catch and release, but he assumes this queen wants the Reals alive. After all, it would be no good if the Mirrors don't have a way to return, would it? At the very least, he knows how to adapt to these situations.]
[He has lined the halls with snares and leghold traps, both metal and made of wire. Once the mark sets foot in one, they will find their leg caught between the iron jaws of a mechanism, or perhaps hanging off the ceiling by one foot. The force shouldn't be enough to tear a person's foot off, but some might find the trap to be a little too tight for comfort.]
[Doesn't matter. Unless you figure out how to escape, Issac's going to find you...]
OPTION B: Nets
[Near the middle of the week, Issac realizes his snares might not be enough to catch Reals who can fly, or perhaps those who know better. Plan B: Among the snares, he has planted taut fishing wire for Reals to trip over. When they do, the trap is activated, and within seconds they will be scooped up by a large net cleverly hidden from view. Have fun trying to cut through them. The nets seem to be made of metal as well...]
OPTION C: Cages
[Ah, here's another one. Issac walks up to his unfortunate victim with a gentle smile on his lips. His bandaged face and the rosary around his neck are the last things the victim sees before Issac slips a bag over their head. The victim will find they are able to breathe through it, but they can't see anything. This is for Issac's benefit, mostly. He figures he won't be as likely to kill people if he can't see their emotions.]
[The victim is carted off to the mirrorside's Chapel, where Issac has set up a holding pen for other unfortunate Reals he has captured. Here the victim will stay until their Mirror returns from the real side,
safely tucked away somewhere so that they won't cause trouble. Cry, scream, beg all you want. It won't help you escape.]
[However, he might have accidentally captured a fellow mirror or two, and he might let them go if he realizes his mistake. Perhaps some more crafty reals might be able to take advantage of this...]

[Let me know if you need a prompt or anything! My plurk is
nyanka.]

[Unfortunately, he still has the urge to kill people, and when she almost grins he can't help but look away. At the very least, he doesn't want to go around slaughtering everyone he sees, but the temptation is still there.]
I-I... Yes, I work in the same building as... Him...
[Does she know what her father does to people there? He doesn't want to scare the child...]
I think he's on the floor above mine.
no subject
I see. [Lots to think about later.] Um. So... Daddy can't talk about work a lot, with the laws. Who are you, sir...?
no subject
Oh, right. I'm Isaac. Isaac Gray.
[Adopted son of the Reverend Gray.]
I guess I could say it's nice to meet you, but I'm pretty sure we've met somewhere before.
no subject
[Isaac with the nice peepers that her father had no interest in, or he would have done something long ago. That's good. It would be a shame if Rachel had to save him so soon.]
Really...? I must have forgot. [Unlikely. She remembers many things. The yelling. The broken dinnerware. The cute puppy... The utopia.] I'm sorry. But maybe you're thinking of that other one.
no subject
[He was...]
I guess you could introduce yourself again. For good measure.
no subject
My name is Rachel Dickens. It's nice to meet you, Isaac Gray. Even though you caught me in a trap.
no subject
[His mind races as his hand touches the rosary around his neck, like he was pulling on his own leash.]
... Forgive me for that, please.
no subject
Of course...
[Though she does have to wonder if it's really her forgiveness that matters to him. Her parents had had some religious iconography around, buried far beneath beer stains and magazines, but it had never seemed to matter to them. Just decoration. Her new dad never made it a point to teach her about God, either...]
I told you. I wasn't hurt. It's no harm done... Besides, I like to know people who know Daddy. Who are around him. Maybe...this was fate.
no subject
Fate? Are you saying God arranged for us to meet or something?
no subject
...being adopted by a therapist hasn't helped her much with her own issues, uh.]
Isn't it possible? This is an unusual place to run into you.
no subject
Wonderland, you mean?
[It's true, he would rather be back home, not in trouble with anyone. But here he is.]
... Yeah, I guess so.
no subject
Mr. Isaac, sir...You look so unhappy. Your peepers aren't as bright anymore... [How dangerous for him.] Would you like to go somewhere else for a while?
[Away from the traps, if they were still a problem...?]
no subject
[He sounds a bit embarrassed, now. He awkwardly glances about.]
Perhaps I should. I have the captive reals in the Chapel I need to keep watch over.
[It's more of a task he's assigned himself, but he's helping!]
Do you want to come with me? I could carry you over the triggers if you like.
no subject
That might be best, thank you...
