Who: Peridot, Lapis, and you!

Well, winter Wonderland, are you enjoying the snow? It looks like your local gay space rock population is. To wit, one corner of the resort has become a gradually-expanding snow-sculpture garden as Peridot and Lapis practice their artistry meep-morpistry in a new medium. Since they don't get cold or even need to come in for dinner, they're free to get carried away!

Most of the sculptures are awkward, lumpy shapes that started out meant to look like things but embraced abstraction out of pragmaticism and/or sour grapes. You may be able to guess that these are Peridot's by the fact that one of them has her hairdo. Less common are simple shapes and swirls, smoothly formed except for the ones that broke under their own weight and were left in ruins. Also, one massive, perfectly rendered statue of a nose. Don't ask whose.

Someone could feasibly wander into this strange realm without even sighting the girls right away. Or join in, of course. On the other hand, with the wars raging around, one might see an opportunity to throw some snow and wreak some havoc. Whatever the case, the important thing is they're having fun, right?

((Both Peridot and Lapis are available for this post, together or individually! Please specify if you want one or the other.))

"Alright." Nageki lets himself fall into the snow and lays there for a couple of moments. Then he rolls over so that he's back on his feet, which messes the right side of the hole. But it still is obviously bird-shaped.

"You did it!" She notes the messed up right side and steps lightly to try and pack the snow back in place without damaging the imprint any further. "It might not be as obvious as a structure, but speaking as a kindergartner- a flawless exit hole is the foundation of any great gem build, and-" And that's how Peridot became an advocate for making clay imprints of things. "Lapis, I'm a genius!"

Granted, she says that every day about things as simple as figuring out how to actually get into a hammock without falling out of it, but SHE DEFINITELY MEANS IT THIS TIME.

"...It does look like a bird." And it is better than what Nageki had managed to accomplish on his own. But isn't Peridot a little too excited about this?

She is, as she usually is. And she's taken to gripping Lapis's arm, as she continues to blather on. "This opens up a new realm of 'morp possibilities. Do you think we can get wet concrete from the closets?"

"I don't think either of those is a good idea," Nageki says. Mud is a better than concrete, especially if Peridot plans to actually lay down in it, but even that would create a mess. And it would be easy for someone else to destroy.

"You're right. It might be too much." Peridot taps her chin thoughtfully. "We'll just stick to the snow for now."

She'll be back on the subject once she's free of snow and has access to mud and cement and all of that nonsense. "We have plenty of that."

"Maybe she could try using clay." He thinks that what artists use to make masks.

Peridot scoffs, seemingly oblivious to the unstated wryness of the two of them talking about her while she begins construction on another snow mound. "Clay. That stuff's terrible. Do you know how many Kindergartens have failed because they were built in locations full of clay?"

She doesn't know an exact number, but it's probably a lot. It's the only thing worse than red sandstone- at least sandstone holds up. And if clay as a mineral deposit sucks that much, it's probably not useful for 'morp either.
