[She smiles softly.]

I'm almost certain you're better at apologies than I am. Not that it's a high bar to set, unfortunately, but if you can manage to be sincere, it may not be immediate, but it will go a long way to soothe hurt egos.

Seeing as I'm one of the worst liars on the face of planet, sincerity isn't going to be a problem.

[She doesn't expect immediate. She doesn't expect anything at all, really. But hope is a good start.

She looks back over her shoulder where she came from, pressing her lips together before looking back at Freya.]

I'm going to go back to my place for awhile. I think that's...probably better.

[deathlessness]

[She nods. A great deal of time seems to have passed for her, and she knows from experience that it's always good to get some space in moments like that, but before she leaves, she at least wants to give her the option.]

I know I'm likely not someone you'd wish to talk to about these things, but I do know what it's like to make a great mistake because you weren't thinking clearly. If you'd like someone ... impartial to speak with, I won't judge.

[She pauses then, considering her words, looking conflicted about them and yet somehow relieved at the same time. Even if she doesn't take the offer, the fact that it's there helps somehow.]

Thanks. [She means it.] I just...need to get my head on straight first.

[She nods, understanding, before stepping away and letting her move towards the door.]

Of course. And I am sorry, for your loss.

[But with that, she will head back to her end of the room and wait for when her brother is ready to be attended to.]
