+ For Glory! For Death! +
Who: EVERYONE & Unwanted Guests
Where: The Grounds & The Palace
When: August 27th to 29th
Rating: PG-13 to R for fighting, violence, and death
Summary: Attackers from other realms threaten the Asgardian palace and your very lives! This is where you fight or flee, the place for all your combat mingle needs.
The Story:
+ Day 3 : Rock Trolls and Ogres +

Rock Trolls and Ogres are strong, tough and surprisingly fast, with great muscular bulk. Their sight is keen, and they hunger for human flesh. Fortunately they are lacking in tactical skill, and few to none will manage to break through Asgard's protective barrier to enter the palace. ( x ) ( x )
+ Day 4 : Frost Giants +

The Forst Giants will scare off yesterday's attackers almost entirely, bringing a greater threat to the palace. They are faster and stronger still, and skilled in cryokinesis. One touch by their hand might freeze a warrior whole, if they don't stop the spread of cold on time. Several of their numbers will manage to break through Asgard's protective barrier to enter the palace. ( x )
+ Day 5 : Dark Elves +

The Dark Elves are the last and greatest threat to Asgard. They rely on stealth and deadly energy weapons, their strength and craftiness yet unparalleled. They are weak to iron, and any warrior would be lucky to discover this weakness on time. They infiltrate the palace from the caves, and nearly all of their numbers will attack from the inside. ( x )

But then she reminds him of the larger threat, and he pulls his attention away and gives a longer look to the looming threat above them. They are getting closer. He scowls, and turns away from her to begin tearing down his setup. It'll at least give him a chance to signal to Jemma that something's come up, so she'll be aware that her alert level might want to jump up a notch.
no subject
Which doesn't mean trusting him.
"Do you need help with all of this, or got it under control?"
no subject
He'll unlatch several key fixtures and leave the mechanisms to fold in on themselves until they fold into something shaped like a briefcase.
"Wasn't planning on giving them time to crush me."
no subject
She doubts he's the only person still out here who shouldn't be.
"We can follow up on the rest of it later."
no subject
"... That's it?" He'll pause, gaping at her a bit. He was expecting something more aggressive or malicious than that. "You're just rounding people up?"
no subject
More or less. It could be less rounding up and more lending a hand at times, but that's not a distinction she sees a point in making.
"So unless you wanted to go back to the part where you pulled a gun on me&mdash" She cuts off more abruptly than intended as one of the giants coming their way shoves the other, making it lose its footing and stumble their direction.
no subject
"You're back but you don't remember."
It's not the first time. It probably won't be the last. But it means he's returning to his case, flipping it over, and opening a compartment on the opposite end.
"You're going to need thermal equipment. The giants are walking levels of absolute zero."
He'll throw a gun to her, confident that she'll catch it.
"We're experimenting with heat lasers, but I've not heard back from the Captain about levels of effectiveness yet. It might explode."
no subject
She doesn't miss the implications any more than she misses the gun, though.
"Rogers is here?" In the long run, that could be complicated. In the short term, she can't think of many people she'd rather have on her side fighting giants more.
no subject
One of them is stomping close enough for the ground to vibrate. Fitz shrinks back, collecting his belongings once more. He does his best to channel Coulson next, rattling information in a long string.
"The ones dressed Asgardian are civilians mostly -- they're under a compulsion to fight. There's a mansion a quarter mile in that direction; we can meet back there for further debriefing when things are less. Well. This."
no subject
"You have a name?" The manner is familiar. The face, not so much. If she had to make a guess, she'd be relatively confident saying he is or was with SHIELD. If not, then some other agency.

Then she's gone, circling wide around the giants and keeping an eye out for anyone else doing the same, or anyone not who should be.
