+ For Glory! For Death! +
Who: EVERYONE & Unwanted Guests
Where: The Grounds & The Palace
When: August 27th to 29th
Rating: PG-13 to R for fighting, violence, and death
Summary: Attackers from other realms threaten the Asgardian palace and your very lives! This is where you fight or flee, the place for all your combat mingle needs.
The Story:
+ Day 3 : Rock Trolls and Ogres +

Rock Trolls and Ogres are strong, tough and surprisingly fast, with great muscular bulk. Their sight is keen, and they hunger for human flesh. Fortunately they are lacking in tactical skill, and few to none will manage to break through Asgard's protective barrier to enter the palace. ( x ) ( x )
+ Day 4 : Frost Giants +

The Forst Giants will scare off yesterday's attackers almost entirely, bringing a greater threat to the palace. They are faster and stronger still, and skilled in cryokinesis. One touch by their hand might freeze a warrior whole, if they don't stop the spread of cold on time. Several of their numbers will manage to break through Asgard's protective barrier to enter the palace. ( x )
+ Day 5 : Dark Elves +

The Dark Elves are the last and greatest threat to Asgard. They rely on stealth and deadly energy weapons, their strength and craftiness yet unparalleled. They are weak to iron, and any warrior would be lucky to discover this weakness on time. They infiltrate the palace from the caves, and nearly all of their numbers will attack from the inside. ( x )

“WELL, IF WE CAN’T RETREAT FROM THIS BATTLE…” Papyrus muses, preparing another regular bone attack. That bone wall won’t last much longer. “THEN LET’S MAKE THEM RETREAT INSTEAD!!!”
Finally, the dark elf cuts through the gigantic bone wall and heads towards the two at breakneck speed. Papyrus retaliates by summoning a few bone attacks and having them fly straight towards the enemy.
He hopes that’ll be enough to scare them off, but a strange feeling in the back of his head tells him that this fight might be a long one…

A time of strife; that is what propels him towards the dark elf, his free hand raised up like a weapon--does he plan to use his claws?
Yes. A dog youkai is very adept at using those claws to tear asunder. Besides, the sword can only bear so much extra force so he must let it remain unused for now. When the elf is close enough, the Taishou rakes his claws down, the power of his extensive youki pushing outwards, lacing itself into his attack like a burst of magic to attempt cleaving the enemy apart.
Papyrus might not be ready to fight. But someone else is.

And boy, does his attack work. In seconds flat, the dark elf is down.
"IM-IMPRESSIVE!!!" Papyrus manages to say as he still tries to keep his guard up with his bone wall. (But did the youkai really have to kill the elf...?) "I SUPPOSE I SHOULD SHOW WHAT I CAN DO!!"
For only a moment, the bone wall disintegrates, allowing at least one dark elf to scamper forward towards Papyrus. As quick as he can, the skeleton king summons several bones tinted with a light blue. The dark elf, at first, barrels towards Papyrus and through the bones, but quickly realizes that these bones still causes damage to them, but only when they're moving. The skeleton then summons more light blue bones to form a makeshift cage around the dark elf in question.
"THERE!!! STAY IN THERE AND THINK ABOUT WHAT YOU'VE DONE!!!" he says to the elf. Okay! Now all he has to do is to maintain this cage for...man, until this event is over. Perhaps he should've thought through his plan a bit more.

Flicking the blood off his claws, he moves closer to Papyrus, giving him a brief nod of acknowledgement.
"Your sorcery is quite adept. However, are you able to maintain such containment?" he asks simply. No condescension. No judgment. Not yet. "This fight may become more complicated if we stay here trying to contain one elf. Not to speak of the remaining forces."
Surely there must be a better alternative. But it's not the demon's choice to make.

While still keeping the current dark elf in its makeshift bone cage with one hand, the skeleton uses his other hand to raise up a few bones, each one longer than the last, forcing the dark elf to leap with great heights in order to dodge the bones. As the elf falls from a well timed dodge of Papyrus's attacks, another light blue marrow cage is quickly formed, catching and trapping the elf inside.
The good news is that two elves were successfully captured! The bad news is that...there still is a horde of elves in the mansion, and Papyrus has already used a great deal of his magic to not only contain the elves, but to build the ramp of bones and the bone wall from before that. Despite all of this, he still looks ready to go!
"AS FOR THE OTHER FORCES...I WILL SIMPLY HAVE TO IMPROVISE FROM HERE. BUT IT'S ALL RIGHT!! THE GREAT PAPYRUS IS AN EXPERT IN IMPROVISATION!!!"
no subject
"Papyrus is it? Well, Papyrus, I shall remain at your side in case the worst should come to pass. I must say, the fact that you have made the conscious choice not to kill could be considered laudable, to be sure."
Laudable perhaps...but the youkai is still keeping an eye on the outliers, as well as those currently caged within the ring of blue bones surrounding them. He, at least, won't let an idealist sully their hands when he's fully capable of dealing with things. That said, he won't exert his will on Papyrus. It would be very presumptuous, given the way he appears to be dressed.
A lord, perhaps?

Papyrus looks down at the two dark elves he's still holding captive with the cages.
"THESE TWO NEED A TIME OUT FIRST. NYEH HEH HEH!!!"
He swiftly looks around the hallway. At this point, there seems to be a lull in the fighting, which is good. He can concentrate on keeping these two dark elves in check.
"IN ANY CASE!! I'M GRATEFUL FOR YOUR HELP, UH...NOT QUITE HUMAN??? ACTUALLY, I DON'T THINK I'VE EVER CAUGHT YOUR NAME. WHAT IS IT?"
no subject
The Taishou offers a brief, polite bow. He's still keeping an ear and a nose out on the situation, but for now, it doesn't appear any elves are close. It's for the better, he's not interested in dashing the skeleton's ideology until it's absolutely necessary again. Papyrus seems like a nice person with a kind heart.
"You are correct, by the way, that I am not human. How astute of you. I've been mistaken for one based on this appearance, but I'm afraid it's difficult to communicate in my true form. So it makes it difficult in that way I suppose."
Apparently, his humanlike form was quite misleading, despite the ears, fangs, claws and markings. That's how it should be but...really now. Most humans were more observant than that where he was from. Mostly because they were looking for anomalies.

One of the dark elves tried to rummage a little with the cage, but the skeleton reinforces the cage with more bones. It's a good thing that, for now, there aren't any more of these enemies coming, because he's starting to get tired. He's trying his best not to show it, however!! He can take a lot more than this!
"HMMM, I SEE!! WHAT GAVE IT AWAY FOR ME WAS THE EARS. AND, UM, THE FACT THAT YOU CLAWED THAT ELF TO...WELL! I'VE NEVER SEEN A HUMAN CLAW SOMEONE LIKE THAT BEFORE. SO, IF YOU'RE NOT A HUMAN, THEN WHAT ARE YOU?"
no subject
His golden eyes flick over to the elf as it struggles, but he's put quite at ease at how quickly the skeleton reacts. Perhaps he, too, is a powerful individual and really didn't need too much help now that he'd caught his second wind...but that remained to be seen.
"Interesting that you noticed; that is usually the first thing that humans notice. That, or the markings."
He notices the hesitation with which Papyrus refers to his...violent actions, but decides not to comment on that particular part.
"I am a youkai--the less regional term for which is demon. In particular, I am a dog demon."
Hence why he'd have trouble talking in his alternate form.

He then stares at the Inu no Taishou rather awkwardly. ...naaaaaaah, he doesn't think this guy would beg for a bone.
