Who: Chloe Decker + You + Closed Starters Where: Out and about Wonderland When: October + November 2017 Rating: girl's night: pg // lucifer morningstar: mature (explicit sex) Summary: Catch-all for Chloe. The Story:
[ She's honestly not sure if she can ever been angry or disappointed in anything he can ever do again. Going their separate ways after the event had been a challenge, but Chloe didn't want to push it here any more than she did at home. This is all new territory for Lucifer, and she wants to give him the chance to explore it on his terms. As for herself, while the hurt is gone, the tenderness is still there. She might not be keeping one foot out the door anymore, but she's still taking her time creeping into the room.
Of course, there is only so slowly you can move with someone who you have already professed your love to. Of course, sex would be good - with Lucifer, it's probably going to be great. Somehow, though, she is still completely content just to see the way his eyes light up when he looks at her. ]
Well, there is this one guy... He stood me up on a date once, he just doesn't remember it. [ She slips onto the bench next to him, trying to give him her best seductive look. Spoiler: she's not great at it. ] I thought he might want to make it up to me.
[It's probably a bad idea to go down that route. It's unlikely that Lucifer will never surprise her ever again, and it won't always be in the best ways.
That said, she's heard his truths, and anything else he says or does can be traced back to that, which puts a spin on everything he's ever done or will do involving her.
The smile he returns to her is mischievous, yet dopey, as she sits down beside him.]
Well, if he doesn't, then I'd be happy to be his much better-looking replacement. [Does he realize she's talking about him in the first place? Probably. Still funny, though.
He signals to whoever is working the bar at present, pointing to his drink and then showing two fingers, before he's back to focusing on her.] Two drinks, coming right up.
[ Eventually the honeymoon period will wear off, and he'll do something that reminds her of how completely idiotic he can be. Even as he has started open up to her, and even though he has changed for the better, Chloe knows there are parts of him that will remain unchanged. He'll always be a pain in the ass, and he'll always challenge her and frustrate her. But the way that dopey smile sends a flood of warmth through her stomach makes it hard to think about anything other than this moment, right now. ]
I don't know. He's pretty irreplaceable. [ In a way, she is talking about someone else. This Lucifer doesn't have to worry about quite the same baggage they carry back home, although Chloe is finding it easier to unify those two seemingly different Lucifers. After what happened during the event, she understands now that even if the timeline is different, his feelings haven't changed. He loves her here, and he loves her at home, regardless of the different outcomes it may have caused.
She glances towards the bar, watching their drinks being poured before she turns back to look at him. ] You should have told me you were playing, I would have come by earlier.
[His chest puffs up a bit, which indicates that he most definitely knew she was talking about him, so at least he's learned a bit about not taking everything as literal as possible.
That does mean he stood her up for a date though. Odd.
His hand smooths over the surface of the piano, eyes tracing its lines briefly before he smirks.]
I might have one more in me a bit later. Maybe I'll give you a private performance.
[ There are so many more events she has yet to fill him in on when it came to the behavior of his future self. Contextualizing it with the truths she now knows has helped Chloe to better understand all of it, and she can brush it off more easily knowing that he had his reasons.
Of course, they weren't necessarily good reasons and she doubts they are ones she would agree with. But as she has been reminded over and over, they aren't home anymore. What happens there doesn't matter anymore, especially when he's sitting so close to her. ]
I... [ She takes a breath, reaching out tentatively to place her hand on his thigh. This feels all new again, without the benefit of the event forcing them to say things without thinking them through. Chloe hasn't changed her mind, but a few days distance has made her a little gun-shy. ] I think I'd like that.
[ Their drinks arrive then, placed on napkins in front of them over the piano, and Chloe clears her throat as she reaches for hers. She has a feeling she's going to need it. ]
[ Chloe has just taken a sip of her own drink and it almost comes out again in a sputter when he stands up and starts shouting to the crowd. Thankfully she manages to keep it in, her throat burning as she quickly swallows her mouthful of scotch and her mouth falls open as she hears the music screech to a halt, the chatter of people filling the room as chairs are pushed out and glasses are set heavily down onto the bar. ]
Lucifer! What you are doing? [ She hisses at him, swatting his waist with her hand as she tries to avoid the unhappy stares of drink deprived patrons. Chloe shrinks back a bit as her shock starts to melt into amusement, her hand rising to hide her smile as she pulls her eyes away from the bar and turns back to Lucifer. ]
Stop yelling. Why are you closing? People were having fun.
[He turns back toward her, smoothing out his jacket idly.]
Emptying out the place, of course. I thought that was rather obvious.
[He glances down with amusement as she swats at him, observing her cheeks to see if she blushes. He does so like it when she gets all riled up by his antics.]
Yes, well, there are other places to drink and I keep this place open almost every single day. They can give me a night off, I think. Don't you? Especially considering they're getting everything for free.
[He has very little incentive to entertain other people tonight. He seems to only be watching her as he sits back down at the piano, leaning his elbow against the keys cover and resting his cheek against his palm. He doesn't register anyone else even as people file out the door.]
[ She does finally blush as he sits down at the piano, heat rising in her cheeks as she realizes it's only her that he's looking at. Chloe laughs, dropping her head from his gaze for a moment, listening to the sounds of the bar emptying out.
It isn't long before the Lux crowd is gone. It always felt incredibly cramped when full and strangely enormous when empty back home, and Lucifer's recreation wasn't much different. Chloe has come to love the new Lux as she did the one at home; if nothing else, on account of the fact that it was Lucifer's home, and she cared about it because he did. Here, it served as a single thread to their lives back home. When she arrived, Chloe had hated the fact that he remade Lux in this place. Now, she wouldn't want anything different.
Once the bar fades into silence, she leans into the piano, resting her elbow and propping her head to mirror him as she stares at him. ]
We could have just gone up to the penthouse, you know.
[He rises from his seat again, goes to collect the bottle of scotch they will eventually need refills from, and come back. The bottle gets placed on the top of the bar before he finishes off his glass and pours them both a little more.
With that done, he sits back down properly, sliding back the cover to reveal the keys again.]
I can't give you a proper private performance without my piano, now can I?
[ Her eyes widen as she watches him collect the bottle, taking a few sips out of her own glass so he can refill it. She leans away from the piano, giving him room to open the cover, unable to keep her eyes off of him. She can feel herself glowing, all of the concerns about cold feet shedding away with the help of his effortless confidence. ]
I'm so honored. [ She shakes her head, amused, her cheeks still a little flushed. ] Okay, I mean... Have at it.
[The tips of his fingers slide over the keys briefly before setting at the proper place. He presses the first few chords, the sound of the piano filling in the empty space, his upper body moving with the tune of the music as he moves through the short intro.
His practiced fingers allow him to look where he pleases even as he perfectly plays the notes, and it's very clear that the lyrics are pointed considering they glance over at her at all the right moments.
It's long, and drawn out, and probably over the top, but since when does Lucifer Morningstar do anything halfway?]
[ She recognizes the song with the first few notes, her breath catching in her throat as he starts to sing. It certainly isn't what she is expecting, and between the lyrics, the thick melody rolling across his tongue, and the glances he gives her through the song, Chloe's cheeks continue to burn. She's lost in the moment, allowing him to do his performance with rapt fascination, her gaze never leaving his face.
As the song comes to an end, his voice and the tinkling of the piano fading into echoes through the bar, Chloe sits silent for a moment. It's only then that she realizes she's pushing back tears, all of the emotions that came to a head these last few days rubbed raw inside of her. She opens her mouth to say something, anything, to compliment him or thank him, but there aren't any words in the English language to communicate how he just made her feel.
So, instead, she pushes herself closer to him on the bench, staring into his eyes for a moment before she tilts her head and presses her lips to his. ]
[He didn't plan this, hadn't even known she was going to stop by tonight. That always seems to be when he does something that makes her react like this, when he doesn't think about it so hard and just does whatever he's feeling in that particular moment.
Apparently, tonight is no exception.
Maybe he shouldn't be surprised, but he is every time she decides to kiss him, as if he simply doesn't quite understand why she would want to. All the qualities that had ever attracted anyone to him don't matter to her in the slightest, and it never ceases to confuse him in regards to her affection.
She is what everyone else should aspire to be, and he's what everyone is taught to fear. It shouldn't make sense, and yet when her lips press to his, there seems to be nothing else in the world that makes as much sense as this does.
He reacts slowly at first, inhaling her scent as his hands pull back from the piano keys. He turns toward her on the bench, one hand smoothing over her neck and into her blonde curls, the other slipping around her waist to gently tug her even closer to him.]
[ It's those moments that he isn't trying that enchant her the most. She knows how he is. He's gets whatever he wants effortlessly, attracting whoever he wants from miles away with a wink and a smile. That was the Lucifer she met in Lux on that first case together, the Lucifer she found intolerable and repulsive and artificial. Her immunity to his charms only made it clearer to her when he was trying too hard.
Chloe values integrity over most everything else, and he is honest in the most unexpected of moments. He shows who he is when he isn't pretending, when he isn't wrapped up in rebelling against his father, trying to live up to those low expectations or trying even harder to rise above them. Chloe's watched him try on personalities like Trixie tries on her mother's clothes, and nothing fits as well as who he becomes when he stops trying.
His fingers are soft against her skin, his touch eliciting a small moan from her as he pulls her closer. Her hands move up between them, grasping the top buttons of his shirt as she fumbles to release them.
She doesn't want to wait anymore. She doesn't want to risk him overthinking it. Chloe worries that what's between them makes so little sense that it will get lost, like the way a word stops making sense after it's said too many times. It's best not to think about it at all, and just accept that, regardless of anything else, it feels right. ]
[Luckily for Chloe, he's stopped thinking about much of anything by this point, at least having to do with literally anything outside of the this and the now.
They've both done quite enough of that lately.
The small noise that brushes against his mouth sounds sweeter than anything he's heard in his life. The fact that her fingers fumble with the buttons of his shirt only serves to stoke the fire; it's so her he can barely contain himself.
His lips part against her, tongue brushing across her upper lip before he pulls back slightly, forehead pressed against hers, eyes pulling themselves open to look at her through his lashes.]
[ A long breath escapes her lips when he pulls away, a small part of her worried that he's going to be putting a stop to things. She would understand, of course; he had waited for her, and it was only fair for her to do the same if needed, and she would want to do whatever she could to keep him close to her, even if it meant not being close at all.
His words rush through her and she grins, letting out a small laugh. ]
Yeah, okay. [ She slips off the bench, grabbing his hand and threading her fingers through his. Her smile never wavers as she drags him towards the lift, half walking backwards the whole way just so she doesn't have to take her eyes off of him. ]
[He almost immediately regrets saying anything, but only because she's suddenly not entirely within reach. He watches with amused impatience as she backs toward where the elevator should be, and he quickly closes the distance by tugging on her hand in his, guiding her to slip her arms around his neck.]
Come here.
[His hands press down her back, over her hips, to grasp her underneath her thighs, lifting her easily off the ground. He guides her legs around his waist before he simply holds her steadily against him, moving toward the stairs.
[ Chloe lets him pull her back to him, squealing gently when he picks her up and wraps her around him. Excitement rushes through her and she laughs, feeling like an excited teenager with the way her skin ignites at every point he touches.
She can't remember the last time she felt like this, and she isn't quite sure she ever has.
His arms are tight around her and she rests her head in the crook of his shoulder, breathing in his scent before she begins to brush her lips over his neck, tasting his salty skin with her tongue and catching it with her teeth gently, all the while trying to cling to him as he carries her. ]
[His smirk spreads even wider across his face as her teeth tug at his skin.]
Oh, hello. You're a little minx, now aren't you?
[He knew it. Also, he could not have possibly made those words sound more appreciative.
The trip upstairs is blessedly (lol) quick, the door opening with a quick turn of the knob and a push of his knee, setting her feet back onto solid ground and he shuts it behind him, turning away only briefly so he can lock the door.
Yeah, well, you're not the only one who has experience, Lucifer.
[ She begrudgingly lets ago of him, wavering a little on her feet as he locks up the door. Once his hand leaves the doorknob she's grabbing it again, pulling him flush against her body so she can cup his cheeks and pull him into another kiss, this one long a leisurely as she enjoys the way his mouth feels against hers. She catches his bottom lip between her teeth when she pulls away again, staring up at him. ]
[He sees literally no problems with this whatsoever. Chloe may not always like when Lucifer's antics make her the center of attention, but he's never once thought she would sit back and let him have all the fun if they were to make it here.
She probably taught Detective Douche all the tricks he's ever known, really.]
Bed, most definitely. We can always break in the couch a bit later, hm?
[He's...probably not joking. Either way, his hands settle on her waist, fingers pressing gently as he guides her backward toward said bed on the other side of the room. His lips are on hers the entire way, considering he could find his way over there blindfolded if need be. Good thing the layout is identical to his penthouse in LA.]
[ He would be right about that. Chloe may fall into the literal Gift from God category, but she was no saint when it came to the kind of things that went on behind closed doors. ]
We will definitely be breaking in the couch.
[ Chloe isn't joking. By the time she's done with him, there is likely to be no square foot of the penthouse left that she hasn't had sex with him on.
As it is, she isn't going to complain about the bed. Lucifer's bed is heavenly, so to speak, and there is something satisfying about coming full circle this way. ]
The last time I was naked in your bed we weren't having nearly this much fun. [ She speaks only once they reach the bed, her lips drifting not far from his and she raises her hands to work on the buttons of his shirt again. She's now even happier that she chose the outfit she did, since it isn't going to take Lucifer all that long to get it off of her. ]
Well, if we weren't having fun, then I'm not sure that's a story I want to hear right now.
[What in the bloody hell was she doing naked in his bed if not for...
...never mind. Focus, Lucifer. Let's try to actually get her naked in your bed instead.
He busies himself with his cuffs and then the bottom buttons of his shirt so that they can hurry up and meet in the middle. That done, he shrugs his shoulders out of it, letting it slips down his arms onto the floor. His palm is soon cupping the side of her face again, mouth descending to hers as his other hand smooths over her shoulder, pulling dark fabric with it.]
[ A half-snort, half-laugh escapes her when she remembers her drunken visit to the penthouse is yet another memory he doesn't have yet. ]
It's a long, drunk, embarrassing story I'll tell you later.
[ Embarrassing, but telling, perhaps. He hadn't taken advantage of her then, when he had every reason to and when she would have allowed it. Chloe was thankful for that now, thankful that she hadn't tainted what they were about to share with her anger towards Dan.
The feel of his hand pushing down the strap of her jumpsuit makes her tremble, her palms wrapping around his back and splaying against his skin. He feels deliciously warm beneath her touch, her fingers tracing over the perfect curves of his shoulders until they brush against the raised skin of the scars on his back. Only then does Chloe pause, thinking about when she had first seen the scars, the way he had almost violently gripped her wrist when she tried to touch them.
She freezes for a moment, pulling away from his mouth to stare up at him as she continues to brush her fingers across the place where his wings used to be, carefully testing this new boundary. ]

[He picks up his glass, eyes locked with hers as he takes a long sip, before setting it back down.]
You enjoy that while I take care of a little something.
[He stands then, turning toward the bar where most of the people are sitting, and begins to yell. Loudly.]
Alright, folks! That's a wrap, party's over! Everyone out! As for my lovely employees, you all have the rest of the night off!
