Who: Ryoko and you!
Where: The Gardens
When: October 15th
Rating: PG
Summary: Ryoko exploring the gardens!
The Story:
Today, Ryoko can be found outside, strolling around the gardens with her notebook open, writing down her observations and notes about it. She thinks she should have had notes on this place, but there's nothing in her book. There's some notes about a flood during a prior event, so maybe they were lost then?
Or maybe she never wrote anything down beyond that the gardens existed. Most of her notes about Wonderland's geography pertain to inside the mansion, so she must've thought this place wasn't important. It had nothing to do with her.
But she did write that she was going to try and not write things off as having nothing to do with her as often as she used to, and yes the note's old, but since she noticed it again today, she's trying to correct what was probably an oversight on her part.
So she'll be spending most of her day out here, this way when she forgets about this place again, she'll at least have her notes to fall back on if she decides to visit this part of the grounds again.

On his way back though, he caught sight of someone familiar. He didn't want to scare her off though, seeing that she might not recognize him. He did make his way over to her, if just to see how she was.
"Otonashi? Is everything all right?"
no subject
“Everything's fine. Um, is there a reason it wouldn't be?”
She really has no idea. Is there another event going on or something? Did she forget again? Considering she's not even sure who she's talking to, it's entirely possible she did.
no subject
"I thought you had a notebook with more notes in it?"
More than what she had here with her now. He thought too that he had to help her keep those notes too, eventually.
no subject
That doesn't sound right, but she'll check this notebook and sure enough there's a note about having a more complete notebook in her room.
"Oh, I guess I must've run out of space and started using this one. I must've forgotten."
Which happens a lot.
no subject
Minato didn't know how effective those signs would really be, but at least it was something.
"You got curious about outside? You had a camera too, I think."
no subject
She'll check her notebook again, and just make a confused face.
"I don't see anything about a camera in here. Maybe I forgot to put a note in this book?"
no subject
She seemed to be all right, new notebooks and all. He wondered though.
"Maybe you need a device that doesn't require changing once all the pages are done."
no subject
"Like what?"
no subject
"If you're using notebooks, it should be okay, if you're not really worried about remembering?"
no subject
She'll stop abruptly, checking her notebook to make sure it supports what she's going to say. And sure enough, it does.
“It's just that since my condition hasn't improved, I have to stick with what works.”
She's also kind of...scared to switch from the notebook to something else. She's had it for longer than she can remember according to her notes. So moving to something else is a little terrifying.
no subject
"We made signs before. Maybe I need to bring you a notebook at the end of every week so you'll at least have one."
The camera idea would've been good if she remembered too. He thought about voice recorders or something like it, but she wouldn't remember how to use it or if anything was on it. So that was that idea.
"You don't remember who I am, do you?"
no subject
She'll check her notes, trying to see if there's anything about Minato in here. Somebody with all these useful ideas would definitely have to be in here somewhere, right?
"Wait, um..."
Now she's just confused. It looks like there's a few helpful people listed in her notebook.
"Who are you again?"
It's kind of rude to just start asking if he's various names, isn't it? Then again this isn't the best way either, but she's not really sure what would be.
no subject
Minato didn't mind. He knew that there was a chance she wouldn't remember, but there was something novel about learning and relearning something new every day. Everything really was new.
"Did you want me to write it down for you?"
no subject
Actually, let her explain, so it doesn't sound like she's being rude or shooting the idea down.
"If I see someone else's handwriting in my notebook, I might get more confused. And then I'd forget what I was looking for or doing because I'd be preoccupied with finding out whose handwriting it is."
And while she's talking, she's checking her list of friends who aren't from her world, and there's Minato's name.
"Oh, I don't have to write it down, you're in here! Sorry, I um...have a list in this book of friends, so I wasn't sure which one you were."
no subject
"That's okay. Even if I weren't in there, you'd still be my friend."
And if she needed help, he'd be there for her. He wasn't really worried about it, if she remembered or not. He could help remember for her.
"I thought maybe we could take a picture of every page of your notebooks, just in case you lose one or something happens to them."
no subject
She's a little surprised by the idea, but it makes sense. That way there's another backup in case something happens to her notes, and with Wonderland being Wonderland, something could definitely happen.
"That's a really good idea! We should go do that, instead of um..."
She looks around, not entirely sure why she's out here or what she was doing. Something, probably. But it's definitely not important. Otherwise she wouldn't have lost track of what she was doing, right?
"...whatever I was doing out here."
no subject
"Check your notebook to where you left off? That might help."
Since she did flip through the notebook to search for his name. He had distracted her from what she was doing originally.
"Then we can help take care of your notebooks after you're done out here."
no subject
Back into her notebook she goes, and...
"I was taking notes on Wonderland's gardens because I didn't have any. Oh wow, how did I forget that?"
She's not really expecting an answer there. Because she already knows that one.
"So I should finish doing that before I forget again."
no subject
Minato looked around the gardens, wondering what she could be taking notes about. He could help point things out for her and add more information to her notes, if she wanted to write that down.
no subject
It might be a good idea, that way she doesn't get sidetracked and forget again. But knowing Ryoko, there's still a pretty good chance that could happen.
no subject
"Keep your notebook open so you can check on what you're doing."
He didn't want to pry, but he did glance over at her notebook to where her notes on the gardens were.
no subject
There's nothing really interesting here. A hand drawn map of the area. Some observations on things like the fountains and stables. That sort of thing.
no subject
"Is there anything that surprises you?"
no subject
She laughs a little at that, before going back through her notes.
"I'm kind of surprised we have stables because we can't really...go anywhere. And I think there's a cave around here. I'm not sure where that goes either. But it's interesting that it's there."
no subject
"Do you ever worry about Wonderland taking away memories?"
Or did she ever wonder or even remember that Wonderland did that?
