Summary: A catch all for the Horrible Memory Truth Event!
The Story:

For the duration of this event, everyone's entire room will be replaced with a memory playing on loop. They will likely recognize the moment as soon as they see it – it is a moment they remember as the worst moment of their entire lives. It could be a memory from home or something that happened in Wonderland. Lengths of the memories will vary, but they will find that these are not memories they can merely watch – they can step into these memories and attempt to make changes to them, and the memories will be long enough that they have time to make changes (though no more than 24 hours). However, anyone who tries will find that it is futile. No matter what you do or how hard you try, the outcome is always exactly the same somehow. No changes you make will prevent that horrible outcome. It just happens over and over and over again no matter what you do.

On top of that, perhaps complicating any attempts to make changes, everyone will be forced to be honest for the duration of the event. No lies or half-truths are allowed, and filters will be gone for the entire five days. If something bothers someone then they will blurt it out, regardless of whether or not it hurts someone's feelings, and no one will be able to simply keep quiet when they have something to say. They must be truthful and honest with every word they say.

This is a catch-all log for all of your Worst Memory needs! Please mark your threads clearly in the subject line with your character's name and Room Number + Floor for character rooms, or just location if you're making a top level for a public place in the mansion (like the tea rooms or the kitchen) so people can see if there's already a thread available. No. [Souji blinked. He hadn't meant to say that so bluntly.] It isn't important to go.

[jivitadana]

[Minato was surprised at that, turning to look up at Souji.]

Why isn't it?

[He had to make the distinction between "why can't we go" and "why isn't it important."]

Everything turned out fine in the end.

[So seeing it would just be a distraction. Something like that.]

Reliving it...

[He hesitated, frowning. He didn't want to say that it was pointless, because seeing Minato's memory here hadn't been pointless. Pointless wasn't really what he meant anyway.

But he can't just hold off on that statement indefinitely. The event won't let him.]

It isn't worth it.

[jivitadana]

[Minato's hand held onto Souji's tighter. He thought if he let go that Souji would just get away from him.]

Why is it that you get to know everything about me, but I don't get to know everything about you?

[He lowered his head but didn't let go of Souji.]

... It's not fair.

[Souji stared at Minato and it was a moment before he could speak.]

...Let's go look, then.

[jivitadana]

[Minato didn't start walking yet. The scene behind him kept playing.]

I don't want to go if this is forcing you to go. But it makes it seem like you don't trust me.

[eatsyourscience]

I understand.

[He really did. He turned his eyes toward the door.]

You're right that it isn't fair.

[jivitadana]

[Minato looked that way too, and let go of Souji's hand.]

We don't have to go if you don't want to show me.

[eatsyourscience]

[Souji looked back at Minato, his normally calm expression starting to fray around the edges.]

That's not it. It's because that [He gestured toward the door] can't be compared to that. [And he gestured back toward the scene in front of them.] What you went through is much greater, much more life-changing.

[He really wished he could shut up right now, but knew that that wouldn't make it any better than speaking up would.]

[jivitadana]

[Minato turned and ended up looking at Souji.]

That... [He pointed to the door.] ... is a part of you.

[He lowered his hand.]

But I don't even know who you are. I love you. But I don't even know who I'm loving anymore.

[And maybe that's how it was supposed to be.]

[Souji winced.]

Then I'll show you.

[If Minato still wanted to see, Souji would show him. It would be like ripping off a bandage and in the end, things would be better.]

[jivitadana]

Now you make me seem so demanding.

[Minato had said before that he wouldn't go if Souji didn't want him to go and see it. Now it was like forcing Souji's hand and Minato hated it.]

Why does it have to take this much for you to stop acting perfect around me?

[eatsyourscience]

Do you really think that's what I'm doing? Trying to act perfect?

[He didn't know if he should be hurt or irritated or scornful, but being plain stunned won out. He wanted to say that he was just being himself, but he wasn't sure that he was or if it was just another mask to hide behind, and so he couldn't make the words come out.]

I'm just doing what I know to do.

[jivitadana]

Then why do you think anything about you isn't important to me?

[But if this was what Souji knew what to do, then Minato would have to accept it. Souji didn't mean it maliciously, Minato could understand that. But it was like Souji was hiding it.]

[eatsyourscience]

[Souji shook his head.]

You're more important than me.

[He'd meant to say "to me" but the event hadn't given him that chance.]

[jivitadana]

[Now it was Minato's turn to be stunned.]

Why would you say that?

[eatsyourscience]

Because it's how I feel.

[Souji was silent for a moment, before taking a breath.]

I don't hate myself. I don't even think badly of myself. But to me, you're the most important person.

[jivitadana]

But why can't we be equal? Why don't you think that I think of you as important to me too?

[Minato didn't like what he heard, but he could see where Souji was coming from.]

[eatsyourscience]

I don't think I'm unimportant to you. I've always thought it must be the same for you as it is for me.

[Souji knew Minato would put Souji ahead of himself. He had when he'd died saving him.]

[jivitadana]

It is.

[Souji was important, more than important to Minato.]

But you not sharing, to me, made it seem like you have something to hide or that you don't trust me.

[He knew though the motivation now behind Souji thinking it wasn't important, but to Minato on the surface, Minato had interpreted differently.]

I do trust you. But I don't like to bring attention to all of this. I don't like to talk about it, if I don't have to. I'd rather focus on you.

[jivitadana]

All I do is take from you. Why can't I ever give anything back to you?

[eatsyourscience]

You do!

[Souji was surprised at the way he sounded as he replied and blinked, drawing back a little.]

...You do.

[jivitadana]

Then is it not enough? Should I do more? Is that why you feel like you still have to hold back with me?

[Minato had let Souji see him. He let Souji see everything about him and inside of him, things that no one else had seen. No one. Minato felt like he had already given Souji so much.

But still... it wasn't enough.]

[eatsyourscience]

The problem isn't with you. You haven't done anything wrong--everything you've done...

[Souji shook his head.]

You're perfect for me.

[...]

That's too much pressure, isn't it?
