Summary: A catch all for the Horrible Memory Truth Event!
The Story:

For the duration of this event, everyone's entire room will be replaced with a memory playing on loop. They will likely recognize the moment as soon as they see it – it is a moment they remember as the worst moment of their entire lives. It could be a memory from home or something that happened in Wonderland. Lengths of the memories will vary, but they will find that these are not memories they can merely watch – they can step into these memories and attempt to make changes to them, and the memories will be long enough that they have time to make changes (though no more than 24 hours). However, anyone who tries will find that it is futile. No matter what you do or how hard you try, the outcome is always exactly the same somehow. No changes you make will prevent that horrible outcome. It just happens over and over and over again no matter what you do.

On top of that, perhaps complicating any attempts to make changes, everyone will be forced to be honest for the duration of the event. No lies or half-truths are allowed, and filters will be gone for the entire five days. If something bothers someone then they will blurt it out, regardless of whether or not it hurts someone's feelings, and no one will be able to simply keep quiet when they have something to say. They must be truthful and honest with every word they say.

This is a catch-all log for all of your Worst Memory needs! Please mark your threads clearly in the subject line with your character's name and Room Number + Floor for character rooms, or just location if you're making a top level for a public place in the mansion (like the tea rooms or the kitchen) so people can see if there's already a thread available. There's an actual answer to that. It has to do with needing a power source and a demigod wanting to make things personal with Tony Stark.

[Look at Frank trying to be diplomatic. ] What's so special with that guy?

Oh, in this case, the attitude was part of it. But that and the weaponized suit, and the fact he invented a way to produce more or less unlimited clean energy.

We talking about the same guy? [Sure, he's seen the suit at least.] Jesus. If I'd solved the goddam world's energy crisis, last thing I'd do is measure my dick against every other guy I meet.

[Which as close as Natasha will come to defending Tony.]

Some people thing you punch the biggest guy in the room, it sends a message. Tony made himself the biggest guy in most rooms.

[Because literally every time he's met the guy, it's been a dick measuring contest.

Frank, obviously, has nothing to prove in that department. Nope.]

[Clearing her throat, Natasha drops her attention to her coffee.]

Not to defend him, but he's not his best self right now. And his best self can still be pretty annoying.

[Hard to say who made a worse impression on the other.]

Yeah, I'm sure he's been through a lot. [Poor rich genius guy. Frank's heart fucking bleeds.]

He did just see his parents get murdered and find out his friends lied to him about it.

[he shrugs. Probably?]

So, what reason, exactly, did you tell yourself not to tell him that shit about his parents?

[Maybe there's a good answer. None he can think of, but he's open to the possibility.]

Didn't think it was my place. It happened over twenty years ago, so it would just be reopening old wounds. And we didn't know for sure—just we knew it was a possibility.

A strong possibility.

[All reasons. Maybe not good ones. At the end of the day, it mostly comes down to not waking sleeping dogs.]

And I don't know if you've noticed this about me, but I'm not one who shares a whole lot. Sometimes it's easier just to sit on a secret than to spread it around further. Most of the time, really.

Sounds like they got reopened, anyway. In the worst way.

[He shrugs. He's not in any place to hold it against her, anyway. Just an observation.]

Easier doesn't always make things right. More often the other way.

[Natasha folds her hands on the table, her lips narrowing ruefully.]

Most of the time with things like that, it's less about finding the right answer and more about running damage control.

Yeah, wasn't trying to be an asshole. [For once? He's still half lost in his own thoughts, thinking about secrets he's kept for far too long. ]

Damage control isn't something I know much about. [Damage yeah. Damage control, not so much.]

Sometimes damage control feels like most of my job. Even before I went straight.

[That second part wasn't entirely intentionally, but not as bad as it could be once it's out. She wonders if he'll let it slide.]
