[Oh, she means... The angel smiles, his eyes softening. He shakes his head and shrugs one shoulder.]

It was nothing, really. I... [He exhales softly and looks around them.] I can't believe how beautiful this is.

[uncaging]

[ It may have been nothing to him, but to Elizabeth it was everything. She still had nightmares about being trapped on the Mirror side,and the memory that had played over and over in her room had been of her wandering the halls trying to escape from Mirrors that wanted to do her harm.

She's glad for a way out of having to talk about that, though. She gazes around the grounds, remembering how magical it had seemed to her the first time she'd seen them. ]

Isn't it? I love it in the snow most of all.

[neversauntered]

As soon as I knew that I could come here...

[Well, she'd been the first person he'd sought out. There's really nothing else on this side of the mirrors for him, and it didn't take him long to find her at all.]

Shall we take a walk? I want to hear all about what you've been doing since I last spoke to you.

[uncaging]

I'd love to. [ She loops her arm through his, leading him toward her favourite part of the gardens. ] Although I'm not sure what to tell you. What would you like to know?

[neversauntered]

[He pats her hand.]

I don't watch you. Some of the mirrors watch, but... I don't. I find it distasteful. [Spying on people either to make yourself feel like part of their lives, or to find ways to hurt them... it's usually one of the two and Gadreel needs neither.]

So, anything you can tell me would be entirely new to me.

[uncaging]

Hmm, let's see. [ She frowns a little as she tries to remember which of the events happened before and after she'd met him - they all begin to blur together somewhat after a point. ] Well, we all went skiing, that was nice. And I hosted my first party, for the Fourth of July! We ended up in a town filled with the undead for a while ... that was horrible, I don't know what I would have done without Mr Crowley. I've spent a lot of time with Max, I so want her to be my very best friend but she has one of her own already. And then, well, there's the Major.

[neversauntered]

Hm, you don't think Max might want two best friends?

[He smiles kindly at her, the kind of smile that would very rarely find its way onto Crowley's face but comes so easily to that of his Mirror.]

I'm glad that Crowley has been taking care of you.

[uncaging]

Can a person have two best friends?

[ The idea had never occurred to her. ]

He's been wonderful. I don't think he realises how much. I don't know what I'd do without him.

[neversauntered]

I don't see why not.

[Gadreel sighs out a slow breath and pats the back of her wrist gently.]

He cares about you. He won't admit it, but an angel sees these things. I've never known of a demon like him.

[uncaging]

[ Elizabeth smiles fondly. It was quite clear to her that Crowley cared about her, even if it was in the same gruff way as Booker, where she thought that he'd never quite be able to admit it. ]

Is he really so unique?

[neversauntered]

He is... odd, for a demon. At least, the ones that I know of.

[He knows that Crowley would not like to be described as 'odd'.]

Aziraphale has been more of an influence on him than he'd admit.

[uncaging]

I wish I'd got to meet him.

[ She turns a corner, leading them away from the gardens and toward the forest. ]

[neversauntered]

I think he might have liked you.

[Gadreel got to meet him, just the once, and had liked him well enough. Far more than he liked Zirah, who had his moments, but was ultimately a danger to himself and everyone around him.]

You're good for Crowley, you know.

[uncaging]

I am? [ She's surprised, delighted even. ] Mostly I think I just bother him.

[neversauntered]

If you did, he wouldn't spend time with you. There's nothing in him that compels him to be nice to you, Elizabeth, save for a fondness.

[Crowley wouldn't like it, but Gadreel knows him very well.]

The two of us aren't so different. He and I.

[uncaging]

[ Elizabeth looks pleased, but still a little confused. She'd spent so much of her life completely alone that she made a point of telling the people she liked how much she valued them. It made her sad to think that Crowley might actually like her a lot but feel it wasn't worth telling her so. ]

Are you? I don't think he'd like to hear that.
