Saw some folks singin' and dancin' around down by the greenhouse earlier. That probably had somethin' to do with it.

Oh, hey, Doc.]
This place? Can't ever be sure 'bout somethin' like that. [He shoots an easy, crooked smile in the other man's direction.] How y' holdin' up, bud?

[ or maybe the holidays and the mansion's sugar state of being have distracted them from it. either way, he's happy not to be the center of anyone's attention. ]
And yourself?

Which is why she is creeping her way through the snow, wearing a huge white coat and matching trousers that coordinate with her boots. Trying to blend into the snow as she follows behind Nathaniel as he heads for the targets.
Slowly brushing her hood back, long hair knotted into a bun on her head but brilliant against the snow.]
Whatcha doin?
no subject
What I do at this time every day, Wendy. [Nathaniel tells her with a small, amused smile. What does she think he's doing, heading out here with a bow?]
My bow escaped the current curse, but I doubt that my targets have been so lucky.
no subject
So you're out here shooting up cookies. Hmmm, that seems useful.
[And she doesn't sound sarcastic, far from it.] They've given me enough stomachaches for one season. Though, you're not worried about people deer out here?

Guess who is interested in the rabbit? Oren, who begins to stalk it, plodding slowly and deliberately across the floor. ]

It darts across the entrance hall and hides behind Robyn's feet.]

Oren, no. [ He whines softly but relents, sitting some ways away, eyes still locked on the smaller animal. In the meantime, she squats down to peer curiously at it. ]
Poor thing. [ The Warden murmurs. ] How did you get inside?

He only would have sat down, but the impulse comes first, another idle curiosity. Close enough that he darts forward, hand squeezing shut around the little sugar-spun body, pulling it away. If it was the bird Regis addressed, then he spoke too soon. That becomes clear when Cullen's teeth close around its neck with a sugary cracking sound.
The Knight-Commander swallows. Another bite, and the rest is gone as well. He licks his fingers. ]
Kind of you to hold it. I've been eager to try one. Normally they always fly away first...
no subject
I see you're an opportunist. [He says dryly, managing to make the word sound like something dirty. Regis is startled, but not afraid. There's so little for him to be afraid of, here.]
It's polite to at least ask before eating someone's conversation partner, but then, I doubt that you have much use for good manners.
no subject
Good enough manners not to try for your head first, ser. Nothing good comes from not taking what you want. Nothing comes from it at all.
[ The Knight-Commander sits down. The other birds are far away now. Pity. The first one was good. ]

dining room
Allow me.
[ He makes a beeline for the window, grabbing the basket of cookies on the way. Feels a breeze of cool air on his face, and throws them all out into the gardens. Let the sugar birds have them.
Cullen turns, and nods at the one cookie still in Regis' hand. ]
That as well?
no subject
[Sometimes, something can be just so out of place that you utterly fail to notice it at first. This holds true for Cullen's current problem, which fails to fall into Regis' attention for several moments after he enters the room. Once it does, the vampire's eyes don't leave it for a few seconds, distracted only when the man addresses him directly.]
... Yes, of course.
[He moves across the room and tosses the cookie out of the window along with the rest.]
I see that you weren't so lucky.

It's me, Gadreel. It's... so wonderful to see you.
