Likely is, but somehow I doubt a case of the gingerbreads is gonna stop Damon Salvatore from servin' his liquor.

[Gingerbread-flavoured whiskey? He could probably get used to it. Dan brings one hand up in a gesture for the other man to follow him and leaves the kitchen, heading along a well-known route to Damon's bar.

While they walk, it's companionable. Henry is the sort of person that Dan can easily begin to like.]

Gotta say, this is damn tame compared t' some a' the things this place throws at us.

[ doc follows, a hand resting habitually on one of the pistols at his hip. he didn't care about walking around armed before he was exposed for the historical figure he is, and he most certainly doesn't care now. the weapon might only fire candy pellets right now (or so wynonna tells him it will — unsurprising, given everything else), but you never know when wonderland will change itself and thrust you into a situation you might need to properly defend yourself in.

a snort. ] Ain't that the truth. My first out of mansion experience was Alexandria and the zombies that came with it. Now I am accustomed to demons. We have plenty of 'em back in Purgatory, but zombies? [ a low whistle, a shake of his head. ] They are somethin' else entirely.

[Much like Doc, Dan is always armed. There's a magnum revolver at his hip, worn more out of habit than any intention to use it, but when he arrived he was far more heavily outfitted than he is right now.

In terms of wanting to be ready for anything, they think in a similar way.]

Got somethin' like zombies back home, but we call 'em feral ghouls. Used t' be human but got turned crazy by radiation. They'll attack anythin' that comes near 'em, 'cept each other. [He has wondered if that means they have some kind of recognition, if a warped one.]

Most 'a the difference is they can't turn y' into one of 'em by bitin' y'.

We've got what we call revenants. They're... a particular breed, as damned as those doomed to hunt them are cursed. It's a nasty situation, and one that does not have a clear solution.

[ that's sufficiently vague, but while wyatt earp may have been his best friend and he might have had a hand in taking down more than a few of those outlaws that were now revenants, it wasn't his story to tell. that's wynonna's legacy, and while the earp name may not be recognizable across worlds, he isn't about to be the one to out her as one of wyatt's descendants when she aims to remain blissfully anonymous in that regard. ]

Bites just hurt like heck, then? [ heck. that would've been a lot more colorful if not for the forced censorship of ewaymas. ]

Hurt as much as y'd expect. [He looks down at himself, idly pats one arm, then pulls the sleeve up on the other. In the meat of his forearm lie the silvery scars of an old wound - two semi-circular, irregular indentations.]

One of 'em almost took a chunk outta me once. Ain't the bite what gets y', in the end. It's the rads. They give 'em off like a stink.

[And if you get caught with a nasty, bleeding bite and a bad dose of radiation, you're lucky if you make it to medical attention alive.]
