The ship?

[Hard to miss, and though it's been a while since he last set foot on one he can't say it doesn't offer a certain appeal. The tunnels would certainly be more familiar.

But it's good to know that they have some options.
]

Do you think that will be far enough? Shepard gave us no idea as to this creature's range.

I'd rather die trying to get people somewhere safe than die standin' here wondering about it.

[ She looks out in the direction the ship would be, then looks back at Regis. ]

I know the Captain. Whole family would try to help if we asked.

Good. [He follows her eyeline when it moves, knowing where the ship is but not who would captain it.]

How many could fit aboard?

Forty or fifty, comfortably. More if people don't get huffy about personal space. We have about a hundred residents.

[ It would probably be impossible to get everyone on the Jolly Roger, and some people will just want to go their own way, period. ]

If this thing goes after people to...turn them, it's gonna go where it thinks the people are. Which is right here.

[ The mansion itself. ]

I got the impression from Shepard that it's intelligent. [Regis murmurs, though he glances over his shoulder at the mansion, evidently seeing her point.]

Could you be sure that isolating so many people in one place with no exit wouldn't present its own problem?

No. But can we say that about any place? Caves have one way in and out. Tunnels are narrow, cramped.

[ She agrees that the Reaper sounds smart, which begs the question why the hell people are getting close to it? ]

[A small nod.]

Limited options, but every one should be explored. The size of this place can be deceptive, but we are most certainly in an enclosed space, here.

[It doesn't seem that he's entirely speaking to her as he goes on, voice sliding to a curious-sounding murmur as he considers just where the people here could go to escape this creature.]

People will start to go near it, warnings or not. Too many here are all too quick to put their hands into the fire after already discovering that it burns.

[ Stupid. Curiosity gets people killed. She sees it all the damn time, too many times a week back home. ]

All we can do is what we can do. And if that thing is focused on the biggest target, the mansion, then getting as far opposite that sounds like the best move. But who knows. Nothing’s certain.

Nothing's certain.

[He echoes her with a frown and a slightly troubled expression, his attention fixed on the massive bulk and scale of the Reaper. It's... difficult to take in, even at this distance, and it doesn't matter how long he looks at it. It dosn't make it any easier to comprehend.]

I wish you luck. Sincerely.
