While You Were Tearing A Hole Inside Of Me, I Was Taking Control; Open
Who: Wynonna Earp and YOU
Where: various places among the mansion
When: all during the event + the rest of July
Rating: PG-13? I'll change if it goes worse
Summary: Wynonna tries out some ability disks for fun and profit. Pick a scenario and have fun with her. Prose or Actionspam welcome. Also other threads for the month will be in here too.
The Story:
a. the training room
The first disc Wynonna puts in is one labeled "super strength" and she wanted to test it out properly -- which means she can be found lifting up some of the equipment and putting it back down after, just because she can. She can also be found punching sandbags and sending them flying into the wall with the strength of her punch. It's pretty badass, honestly. And if anyone else with powers is around she might be challenging them to a sparring match to see how she can hold her own against them.
Come on. Let her have a little fun.
b. the beach
The second disc she tries is one labeled fire abilities. She's glathered some wood and other materials and is trying to start an impromptu bonfire but here's the problem -- once she starts the fire she doesn't really know how to control it and it is quickly becoming quite unwieldly and dangerous if someone doesn't intervene and help her control it.
Please help her, someone.
c. damon's bar
After the incident with the fire she's feeling a little more cautious about things. She can be found sitting behind the bar like she often is, holding a disc that she seems to be considering deep in thought. The power listed on this one is magnetism -- an ability that reminds her of Bobo Del Rey and a lot of the unpleasant memories she has of his particular power causing problems for them back in Purgatory. She's almost curious to try it just to see what it feels like -- but she's not so certain. She might need some encouragement.
d. if none of this works/you want to do something else, shoot me a pm and we can work it out!

That was the event that led her and Seth getting together, which had only opened her up to the idea of being with Lucifer. She had also died, which had screwed her up in more ways than one for a lot longer than she'd ever be willing to admit.
Though, weirdly, she wouldn't have taken any of it back. It made her truly face the life she could have in Wonderland and, all things considered, it wasn't a half bad life to live when it all worked out.
"I feel like the events can do that. Force people to open up to each other and confront things they wouldn't usually. It definitely has for me and Lucifer, anyway," she admits. "I know they're bad and they make this place unbearable sometimes but... I can't help but be a little appreciative of what it's done for a lot of us. It's made me see a side of Lucifer that I never thought I would see back home."
Both literally and figuratively.
Chloe leans in a little, lowering her voice. "And between you and me? I definitely shot Lucifer once. I was sure I'd lose my job over that one."

It being her first event certainly shaped a lot of things, not least of all making her and Doc put behind some of their bullshit with one another because at the time they were the only ones who they trusted. But if it hadn't happened the way it did, they wouldn't be here now. If she hadn't almost died in Tartarus she probably would have done something to ruin their relationship after he said he loved her.
It's weird to think of how many events, as traumatic as they were, helped get them to this better place now. A place where they're going to get married. Wynonna knows in her heart they probably would never get to have this back home. There are too many other factors at play, too many complications.
"No, I get that. I feel the same way -- as fucked up as it is, it's brought Doc and I together in ways we couldn't have back home, for a lot of reasons."
Wynonna hesitates for a moment, and then, maybe because she needs to tell someone other than Doc or the White Queen:
"I might have to someday -- not Doc, Doc -- but his mirror is a revenant. Which means if he ever causes problems, I'm the only one who can kill him. Just between you and me."
And sure enough in a few days Johnny is going to leave her messages over the mirror, reminded her of that fact.

"Hopefully that won't be an issue," she offers, not sure if that will be any assurance. "Lucifer's was just a scratch, I practically missed him, but that didn't mean he wasn't dramatic about it."
Chloe's ability to make Lucifer vulnerable isn't even in the same ballpark as Wynonna being the only one that can kill Doc's Mirror, but she doubts that makes it any easier. Killing something--someone, she has to remind herself. The Mirrors are people, too--that wears the face of the man you love couldn't be easy, demon or not.
"The uh, the revenants. How dangerous are they?"

To say the very least. Her run-in with Johnny had honestly been surprisingly uneventful beyond her discovery that he was a revenant but it had been enough to shake Wynonna to her core, enough for her to realize she had been in love with Doc, even if she still didn't say the words to him until months later. Doc still has no idea how long she had been sitting on those feelings, unsure of how to verbalize them. Maybe that's for the best.
"It depends on the revenant -- some are really dangerous, like Bobo Del Rey or Jack of Knives," Wynonna can't help but tense when she mentions the revenant who had kidnapped her and had nearly cut her open alive -- Jack had been a particularly traumatic ordeal for her, one she still doesn't like talking about. "Others, like Fish, simply got in with the wrong crowd and have been relatively harmless. Doc was one of the most dangerous gunslingers who ever lived when he was human though, his speed and reflexes are unparalleled by other humans -- if he had supernatural abilities enhancing those natural talents? I don't really want to think of what he could be capable of."

Her frown deepens as she thinks about Doc's Mirror, and automatically compares it to Freya and Seth's Mirrors. Thank God her Mirror was still all too human, and Lucifer's turned out to be an insufferable Daddy's boy.
"Hopefully we won't have to find out," she tries to assure her, although she suspects it's unlikely. Wonderland seemed to bring out the best in people, but it had a bad habit of bringing out the worst in people, too - Mirrors and Reals alike. "And if we do, you don't have to deal with it alone."

And it fucked her up for a good long while and she made some questionable choices in the aftermath of that. She's also not ever really talked about that with someone outside of Doc -- hell, she doesn't even really talk about it with him. He knows how traumatic that whole thing was for her.
"Hopefully not -- I mean, on the plus side it's not like it's easy for them to crossover, and the White Queen doesn't seem as okay with them pulling shit as the Queen of Hearts was, for whatever that's worth."

She wasn't trying to one up her, and she hopes it doesn't come off that way. "I just mean, I guess, I understand."
Just because Wynonna hunted demons, while Chloe was friends with them, didn't mean they were totally different.
"I don't know if I'm going to put a lot of faith in the White Queen just yet, but she can't be much worse than the Queen of Hearts. Maybe she'll keep them in check and you won't even have to worry about it."
no subject
"I guess those kind of sickos -- they exist everywhere. Especially when you're in the line of work we are."
Law enforcement, or at least very broad versions of it.
"Maybe. At least she doesn't seem as keen on using them as spies." Assuming her word can be trusted, Wynonna isn't sure it can be.

When it comes down to it, Chloe fears humans far more than anything otherworldly. She doesn't take advantage of Lucifer's powers to protect her; what is more important is that he has her back, no matter what. As for Maze, well... Maze is deranged. But, somehow, she has a good heart. Chloe knows that much, even if Maze doesn't usually let people see it.
"Not sure I trust that, either," Chloe admits. "I don't think paranoia is useful to anyone, but a little bit of caution is."
