Who: Becks + OPEN Where: Mansion grounds; Deux Lux; When: Aug 7th Rating: PG-13 (cw: depression, talk of death, violence, alcohol as a coping mechanism) Summary Today is Becks' Death Day and she's Not Dealing Well. The Story:Prompts in comments below~
Michonne doesn't always hang out at bars, but when she does, it's because Snow White needs to talk to Regina about family things, and while she knows there's nothing either of them would keep from her, she's respectful of the two of them.
Besides, Regina will (probably) tell her later anyway.
That's why she's in Deux Lux, katana-less but definitely still packing, and she settles not that far from a woman with shots ready to go. Glancing over with one raised eyebrow, she can't help commenting.
"You gonna need someone to stick around and make sure you're okay? That looks like some serious drinking."
She 100% assumes this girl will straight up fall over if she's taking all those shots on her own.
She glances up at the question and there's the smallest of smiles on her lips; nothing real or genuine, it never quite makes it to reaching her eyes. "I'll probably be okay... but it might not hurt, just in case." She wonders if she looks that bad off, or if this woman simply has specific experience in spotting this particular kind of bad day in people, somehow. It's Wonderland, people probably get sad-drunk all the time, right?
The open-ended, 'ball's in your court' feeling to her words makes Becks smile. "I'd like that." She nods a little. "I'm Becks," she offers in greeting, waving one hand in a gesture for the other woman to join her. Officially and all.
"Michonne," she says as she slides over to join her officially, smiling just a little. "Normally, people drink like this to forget somethin'. Haven't had anything happen in a while here worth celebrating like that. You okay?"
She shrugs a little, "You know how people show up here after they die?" She tilts her glass on its edge, balancing it between her hands to make sure it doesn't fall and make a mess. "Today is the anniversary of that for me."
Michonne looks at her, then at the shots before taking one, tossing it back, and putting the glass down. "Well, shit."
She knows for plenty of people, when they die and come here it's like a second chance. She won't assume how Rebecca views it and lets out a breath. "Pretty sure that means you get to drink as much as you want, long as someone's looking out for you and makes sure you get somewhere safe after." Which is her way of saying she'll do that for her tonight.
"Right?" Her eyebrows rise and fall in something like agreement at the reaction. That's about how she feels about it, too.
Becks sets the glass down and looks up, a small smile on her lips, "I think it's a pretty good rule." She nods a bit. She downs another shot before considering the woman in front of her. "So...what's your story? I mean-- what kind of world did you come from or...whatever?" That was, afterall, always an interesting go-to ice breaker in Wonderland.

"I could stand to take a couple of those off your hands, but whether or not you want the company's up to you."
