Summary: Starlight Glimmer is making poor life choices. Everyone else gets to suffer now.
The Story:

Maybe you're outside, enjoying the fall weather. Maybe you're in the kitchen, or just wandering the halls. It doesn't matter. As soon as you lay eyes on that purple pony, walking around with a cyan-glowing horn and an insufferably smug look on her face, your world will twist.

Suddenly you're on four hooves, not two feet. You have a mane. Maybe you're lucky enough to have wings, or a horn. You aren't a human now. You're a pony, your special talent emblazoned on your flank to show the world who you are.

But clearly, this is how things have always been, right? Pay no attention to your memories of hands, this is normal now.

There's a LOT of little horses suddenly appearing everywhere. Louis doesn't get it, but this is his first experience of Batshit Wonderland Shit- he has to start somewhere, he guesses. He's wandering around, exploring the lay of the land (and, quietly, feeding the instinct to patrol, just in case) when he comes across the pony freaking out.

He doesn't recognise Dipper, or course. But he does pause, because the tiny pony is screaming about fingers and that's new.

"I'm pretty sure if you did have fingers, that would be some kind of nightmare fuel, just saying. Let's not defile nature's laws here."

He's helping.

Dipper turns and puts his hooves on Louis' shoulder, staring wild-eyed at him.

"They should be attached to hands!"

"Dude, you do know horses aren't supposed to have-"

No. Give him a second, that voice is starting to sound familiar. He squints.

"Dipper? That you? Are- are you...just a horse now?"

[krmvgivv]

"Am I?" Dipper stares at his hoofs. Yeah, they definitely look a lot more like something a horse would have than a boy. Which kind of feels right to his memories but also deeply wrong.

"AHHH!" he scrambles backwards, awkward with so many legs. "Why am I a horse?"

Louis stares at this for a moment, because...how did Dipper not realise he was a horse?

"IIIII seem to have uncovered something I probably shouldn't have," a pause. "So you can't actually turn into a horse? You're just...suddenly one? Because last time I saw you, you were definitely human."

[krmvgivv]

"No, I can't turn into a horse!" Even as a pony, Dipper's voice is horrible and filled with puberty cracking. "I don't know why this is happening! If there's an event, I missed all announcement of it!"

[teamfun]

"I'm not really sure how the announcements even work, like...do they do it over the communicators? Post flyers under our doors? Just wander up to people and whisper 'yo, there'll be an event next Thursday'? What I'm saying is, I don't know if they announced one or not, sorry bud."

He considers.

"Can weird stuff happen here without events?"

[krmvgivv]

"I mean, technically weird stuff can happen at any time for any reason, but around here, it's usually events." But that gets him thinking. He frowns and leans in closer, his face a wide-eyed conspiratorial paranoid that… isn't usually seen on horses. "Do you think I was cursed?"

[teamfun]

That is not a good look at all, he's genuinely not used to animals being able to make that face. He is very much sliding into 'perturbed' territory.

"Um. Maybe? I honestly don't know anything about curses or...magic in general. That's more your thing, dude," he squints. "Does it feel like you've been cursed?"

[krmvgivv]

"No, but with a good mental curse I wouldn't. That could just as much be a sign I am cursed than that I'm not." He groans, covering his face with a hoof. "I hate this. I gotta figure out who cursed me."

[teamfun]

"Okay, well, I'm pretty sure it's not just you, so at least it's probably not personal?"

So no one's, like, spite-transfigured Dipper into suddenly being a tiny horse.

"Do you know anyone in the mansion who can actually do that? I mean, it'd shrink the list of suspects, right?"

[krmvgivv]

"A lot of pon--people, actually." Dipper scowls, bouncing back and forth on his hooves. "But I can only think of one pony who would. And has before, actually."

Starlight, why are you like this.

[teamfun]

"What? Turned people into tiny horses?"

Who the hell has a TRACK RECORD of that kind of thing? Wow. He will never ever understand magic or the crazy fucks who use it.

[krmvgivv]

"No, she just... almost aged me to death. And my uncle into not existing." Which is... probably worse?? He guesses?? At least he got to be an adult for a while before it got out of hand.

[teamfun]

"Oh," give him a second to process that. "That's- that's a thing that can happen here and nobody actually...y'know thought to stop her from doing that? Because just saying if you throw dangerous spells around once it's an accident, do it a second time and it's looking pretty sketchy."

[krmvgivv]

"From what I understand? For her it's been a lot more than twice if you include her pre-Wonderland history." Dipper rolls his eyes. He's mostly just avoided Starlight, but that hasn't stopped him from picking up gossip.

[teamfun]

He's going to make a mental note to avoid the clearly psychopathic tiny horses from now on. Nope, no thank you. Do not pass Go, do not collect $200.

"You know, I never gave talking animals much thought before coming to Wonderland. Now, I've gotta remember that a tiny talking horse is kind of a sociopath."

[krmvgivv]

"Just one of them. Sunburst's cool." For a very specific definition of cool. But he doesn't go around turning people into ponies, at least.

[teamfun]

"Sunburst. That's...a weird name. But duly noted."

Nope. No. He wants to avoid the weird talking horses. No thanks.
