Happy December, Wonderland!

[ Juliet offers a brilliant, if somewhat strained, smile to the network. The camera isn't directly aimed at her face at first--she's still getting used to video chatting--but she reaches out to adjust it quickly before continuing. ]

I know not everyone here celebrates Christmas or... Even knows what Christmas is, but! In the O'Hara household, Christmas is a big deal. I mean, I really big deal. All my family comes in and there are games, and arts and crafts, and a ton of food...

[ People probably get the idea, Juliet. ]

So! I know things always get really crazy during the holidays anyway and I wanted to get on top of things so I'm having a little pre-Christmas get together at my place. So whether or I know you or not, come by room three on the seventh floor anytime over the next few days and I promise we'll have a lot of fun. Open door policy.

[ She pauses. ]

Not literally. Knock first.

[ room 3, level 7 ]

Juliet has gone all-out for the holidays, as an O'Hara is wont to do. With no financial limits and no job to distract her, she's put everything into decorating her place. Anyone walking past room three on the seventh floor will be greeted immediately with an timely wreath and equally festive doormat.

The decorations don't stop there. Juliet has decked the halls to the point that they are bursting, having even extended her living room quite a bit to accommodate food, fun, and hopefully a lot of guests. Every wall is decorated with some kind of garland, wreath, or lights. She's even got a sprig of mistletoe hanging in the corner for any couples who visit that might be so inclined.

And, of course, there is the the Christmas tree in the corner of the living room.

Anyone who visits will also be greeted by an unimaginable spread of food from cookies, cakes, and various snacks to some traditional Scottish fare like mince pies. There's another corner table dedicated to just Christmas crafts, from cutting out paper snowflakes to sewing Holiday themed pajamas.

Maybe it's a little early to go full out, but Juliet couldn't wait. Christmas is her favorite time of year and she hopes that getting to it early will help her miss her family less - and maybe help her find a new family in Wonderland.

[Its a small and intimate gathering, something that Steve rather enjoys. Growing up Christmas was always a quiet affair- just him and his mother, if his mother didn't have to work. Later it was just him, sometimes Bucky, but he always felt out of place crashing the Barnes family's Christmas. During the war Christmas was spent with the Commandos and the SSR and those were more enjoyable despite everything going on around them. Since the ice...

Christmas was always a lonely time for Steve, though despite that he always enjoyed the holiday season. He shows up dressed nicer than normal and ready to enjoy the night.

He makes a stop at the food table and fills up a plate (super soldiers need sustenance) before heading to the craft table where he figures he can make something to hang in his rooms. Only his paper snow flakes look terrible, he really should stick to drawing, so he does making a nice winter scene with some colored pencils.

If someone plays their cards right maybe they can trick him under some mistletoe. Just don't be disappointed if the kiss you get is just on the cheek. Its still a kiss afterall. ]

[He's not the only one who sucks at paper snowflakes. Drizella's look awkward and clunky, and occasionally overly done with the cut outs because she's the kind of artist who doesn't know when to leave well enough alone.

She glances over when she sees one of his, and she holds up a hand in a high-five kind of gesture as she reaches for a cookie with another.]

Less-than-aesthetically pleasing snowflake solidarity?

[ Steve looks up from where he’s concentrating on not ripping his terrible snowflakes as he unfolds them. He sees her hand raised for a high five and looks at her snowflakes, a smile appears on his face as he returns the high five. ]

I don’t think cutting paper is an artistic talent I possess.

It's kind of a weird process, right? I don't know if it's a thing that you need talent for so much as nimble fingers.

[And you would think that she would have that in spades, given her spell work, but at the same time.]

Or maybe the ability to tell when it's done and to stop.

[ she laughed softly, holding up his snowflake that was falling apart. ]

Definitely knowing when to stop. Unless I was going to melting snowflake, might be able to pretend this was on purpose.

[She gives a small shrug.]

I mean, hey. That's the point of arts and crafts, right? To make it work?

[ Bree is trying to mingle a little as her parents pledge to stay gross under the mistletoe - which is embarrassing even if it's nothing over the top. No one wants to see their parent kiss another person even if it is pretty Disney.

She recognizes Steve from dinner, from the network, and she smiles when he picks up the colored pencils while she cuts a snowflake. Glancing over, her eyes widen a little. ]

Oh...wow, you can really draw.

[ She draws too, she hasn't really had the time to go about getting everything she uses for it from the closets, but color her impressed, truly. Still, she clears her throat a little. ]

Sorry, I didn't mean to sound like I was shocked or anything. It's just nice, finding out what people's hidden talents are.

[ It seems there's a little space on the piece of paper near her, and she picks up a black colored pencil. ]

Do you mind if I add something?

[ She wouldn't ask if she didn't know she was good, but all the same, if he says no she'll understand. ]

[ Steve looks up at her words, a hint of a bashful smile appearing on his face. He hadn’t seen Bree since dinner but he had enjoyed her company, and was glad for it now too.]

I- thanks. I’ve always liked drawing. [ Its not something he’s had the luxury to do in the past few years but here he can maybe get back into it.

He gestures to the paper and sits back slightly. He doesn’t mind, he’d Like to see what she would add. ]

No, go ahead. I’m just doodling mostly.

There's something about it. You can get lost in your own head, you know?

[ She starts working on one side of the paper, glancing up at him. ]

I didn't really start drawing until I was older, but I think it was always there.

[ Bree works quietly until eventually, there's a nice cabin tucked into the corner of the page, mountains in the distance. ]

Jamie told me about the cabin he built for my mother in North Carolina, how there's forest and mountains. I've never seen it, but maybe I'm close, here.

[ She sits back to inspect her work, one side of her hand dark with graphite now. ]

Yeah. [ that's one of the perks. ] Its relaxing.

[ He watches her draw out of the corner of his eye as he doodles. ]

For a while it was pretty much the only thing I could do as a kid. I was sick a lot, but i could always use pencil and paper in bed.

[ He's impressed at what she drew. ]

It looks cozy. You're good.

[ Bree smiles a little and shrugs. ]

Apparently, my grandmother on my father's side was really good at art.

[ She does look at Steve curiously. ]

You're all right now though?

[ He looks okay, but appearances can be deceiving? ]

[ All right, she can't help herself. He's there. He's alone. She's feeling hella confident and cool, so why not? If anything, she's wondering why she hasn't attempted talking to him before. If she can handle Kol's old ass? This should be no big deal!

Because fuck, he is gorgeous.

Jessica struts up to him the second he's under some mistletoe. That is to say, she's appeared in front of him in a flash. Bless the power of vamp speed! ]

Hi! [ She holds her hand out, hoping the charm she's desperate to exude doesn't make her look like she's holding in a fart. ] I'm Jessica.

[ dteve is a little surprised that there is suddenly someone standing in front of him but he smiles at her reaching out to shake her hand. ]

Hi Jessica, I’m Steve, nice to meet you.

[ She's doing her best not to look too put out. That was such a...friendly greeting. Not exactly what she was going for. Maybe she should've adjusted her boobs a little before coming over? Hmm.

But she'll roll with it! Jessica gives a grin, vaguely wondering if she should glamour some interest into him.

So, uh. [ Why are words failing her now? Fuck! ] You like mistletoe?

[ She's still grinning, but inside, she's slowly dying a second time. This is what happens when parents think simply thinking of dating would get her pregnant. Her ex was looking like the smoothest motherfucker now in comparison, and he'd talked about chicken-fried steak being like if chicken and steak had a baby when they first met. ]

It looks weird.

[ She's such a failure at life. ]

[ It’s not Jessica’s fault, Steve is oblivious and also a very friendly guy. He still doesn’t grasp the fact that women would talk to him because he’s attractive. Though he question confuses him a bit. ]

Mistletoe? I mean, I guess? Never really thought about it.

[ No, he does not realize it’s above his head. Bless him for all his supersolider enhancements he’s missed the plant hanging above him. ]

Yeah, uh...me neither. [ She laughs a bit. ] My parents thought I'd end up becomin' a fornicator if I ever stepped close to it.

[ God, why does she keep thinking about her stupid parents right now? She momentarily looks annoyed at herself. ]
