Happy December, Wonderland!

[ Juliet offers a brilliant, if somewhat strained, smile to the network. The camera isn't directly aimed at her face at first--she's still getting used to video chatting--but she reaches out to adjust it quickly before continuing. ]

I know not everyone here celebrates Christmas or... Even knows what Christmas is, but! In the O'Hara household, Christmas is a big deal. I mean, I really big deal. All my family comes in and there are games, and arts and crafts, and a ton of food...

[ People probably get the idea, Juliet. ]

So! I know things always get really crazy during the holidays anyway and I wanted to get on top of things so I'm having a little pre-Christmas get together at my place. So whether or I know you or not, come by room three on the seventh floor anytime over the next few days and I promise we'll have a lot of fun. Open door policy.

[ She pauses. ]

Not literally. Knock first.

[ room 3, level 7 ]

Juliet has gone all-out for the holidays, as an O'Hara is wont to do. With no financial limits and no job to distract her, she's put everything into decorating her place. Anyone walking past room three on the seventh floor will be greeted immediately with an timely wreath and equally festive doormat.

The decorations don't stop there. Juliet has decked the halls to the point that they are bursting, having even extended her living room quite a bit to accommodate food, fun, and hopefully a lot of guests. Every wall is decorated with some kind of garland, wreath, or lights. She's even got a sprig of mistletoe hanging in the corner for any couples who visit that might be so inclined.

And, of course, there is the the Christmas tree in the corner of the living room.

Anyone who visits will also be greeted by an unimaginable spread of food from cookies, cakes, and various snacks to some traditional Scottish fare like mince pies. There's another corner table dedicated to just Christmas crafts, from cutting out paper snowflakes to sewing Holiday themed pajamas.

Maybe it's a little early to go full out, but Juliet couldn't wait. Christmas is her favorite time of year and she hopes that getting to it early will help her miss her family less - and maybe help her find a new family in Wonderland.

[Kokichi scoffs.] Okay, hope you're having lots of fun with your book hoard, nerd.

No. I also enjoy magic, antiques, prestidigitation, geology and my job.

[Not romance though. Nope. He gives a little haughty sniff.]

You say that like I'm supposed to take that as an insult, but I don't.

[As much as Kokichi could tease the unicorn about his lack of magic, he instead focuses on that last comment.]

Wait, you mean you'd rather marry a book?

[He found an opening!]

[He gives a surprised, horsey snort.]

What? No! You can't marry books, they're not sentient.

[GEEZ, Kokichi.]

I'd rather not get involved in any of that... mess, honestly, romance. Seems a lot of trouble.

Great, you're not totally isolated from the rest of the world! Glad to hear that!

[Once the heart reveals its shape, the phantom thief swoops in to mess with it. Sort of.]

Whatcha mean a lot of trouble? You don't mean to say you hate lovey dovey stuff, do you?

Of course not. I do have friends outside of my books, you know.

[And yet he's still a goddamn hermit.]

I don't hate it. I mean, I work for the Literal Princess of Love, it wouldn't be a good thing if I did. I just...don't really bother with it that much myself. Guess I haven't met the right pony.

[shslliar]

[As much as he wants to tease him, something hits him like a brick.]

Wait... Literal Princess of Love? What?

Hmm. Princess Mi Amore Cadenza. Princess Cadence. She rules over the Crystal Empire, but she's also the Princess of Love. She has a special kind of magic to bring ponies together.

[Kokichi is looking at Sunburst like the pony has two heads.]

... And you're absolutely positive this is an actual... Pony. Person. That exists outside of someone's weird fanfic.

Yees? I'm in her employ, so I'd know if she didn't actually...exist. I talked to her on a daily basis, back home. The Princesses all have their own areas to have dominion over, Cadence's just happens to be love.

. . . Ooookay then! I guess fairy tale worlds exist now. Because that sounds like you live in a fairy tale full of horses or something.

Ponies and I could well say the same about any of your worlds. Just because it's different doesn't make it any less real.

[shslliar]

WHATEVER!

[Okay, now he's being a troll.]

[bibliocorn]

[He lets out a little, furstrated horsey noise.]

Ugh. Sometimes, I really don't know why I bother with you.

[shslliar]

[Yay, horsey noise!]

Because we're both stuck here and there's only so many people we can talk to in this boring mansion?

[bibliocorn]

Yes, but there comes a point when you really have to question these things. I mean- do you ever stop actively trying to hurt everyone else's feelings?

[shslliar]

You realize I'm supposed to be a supreme leader of evil, right?

[He says, even though it's apperent Sunburst's question cracked his metaphorical armor.]

[bibliocorn]

[Sunburst's ears flick back, unimpressed. He keeps his tone level, though.]

No. I've seen evil and you're absolutely not it.

[As laughable as it is for a tiny pony to have seen such a thing. That's what happens when you end up in a fight against Literal Darkness. His world is a RIDE.]

You honestly come across as a teenager who's lashing out at other people for...whatever reason you have. Mine isn't to guess.

[shslliar]

Well...!

[Kokichi sputters indignantly, like he's trying to one up whatever evil exists in hoof ville.]

Well, SO-RRY! It's not like Wonderland's giving me to work with here! Geez! You shove an evil overlord from the shadows of the boring human realm into this place and expect me to compete with the likes of... Of pony Chthulu or something?!

[Yeah, he's totally lashing out right now. This might be the talented human equivalent of "Cutie Mark Failure Insanity Syndrome." Or at least a minor case of that.]

[bibliocorn]

[Kokichi this is a nice party and you're yelling a lot. Sunburst casts a look around them, before rolling his eyes.]

You're rather proving me right, here.

[What with the tantrum and everything.]

Just a word of caution. If you keep doing everything you can to hurt people and push them away, you're going to end up very lonely.

I guess we can end this here?

[Kokichi can't think of a proper response. Not even a lie. He just walks away, consumed by all the feelings he got whacked in the face with.]
