Happy December, Wonderland!

[ Juliet offers a brilliant, if somewhat strained, smile to the network. The camera isn't directly aimed at her face at first--she's still getting used to video chatting--but she reaches out to adjust it quickly before continuing. ]

I know not everyone here celebrates Christmas or... Even knows what Christmas is, but! In the O'Hara household, Christmas is a big deal. I mean, I really big deal. All my family comes in and there are games, and arts and crafts, and a ton of food...

[ People probably get the idea, Juliet. ]

So! I know things always get really crazy during the holidays anyway and I wanted to get on top of things so I'm having a little pre-Christmas get together at my place. So whether or I know you or not, come by room three on the seventh floor anytime over the next few days and I promise we'll have a lot of fun. Open door policy.

[ She pauses. ]

Not literally. Knock first.

[ room 3, level 7 ]

Juliet has gone all-out for the holidays, as an O'Hara is wont to do. With no financial limits and no job to distract her, she's put everything into decorating her place. Anyone walking past room three on the seventh floor will be greeted immediately with an timely wreath and equally festive doormat.

The decorations don't stop there. Juliet has decked the halls to the point that they are bursting, having even extended her living room quite a bit to accommodate food, fun, and hopefully a lot of guests. Every wall is decorated with some kind of garland, wreath, or lights. She's even got a sprig of mistletoe hanging in the corner for any couples who visit that might be so inclined.

And, of course, there is the the Christmas tree in the corner of the living room.

Anyone who visits will also be greeted by an unimaginable spread of food from cookies, cakes, and various snacks to some traditional Scottish fare like mince pies. There's another corner table dedicated to just Christmas crafts, from cutting out paper snowflakes to sewing Holiday themed pajamas.

Maybe it's a little early to go full out, but Juliet couldn't wait. Christmas is her favorite time of year and she hopes that getting to it early will help her miss her family less - and maybe help her find a new family in Wonderland.

[ She smiles a bit. ] Yeah. I do.

[ Jessica's quiet for a moment. It was nice to think that she had people to care about for once. They'd helped her so much.

It takes her a moment to realize he'd finished talking about his world. Her brain eventually catches up and she frowns. ]

Zombies?

[ She frowns harder. She thinks of Liz. She won't bring the mood down, though, talking about how much she missed her undead buddy. And, of course, now she wonders if her own undead status is going to weird him out.

She subtly pushes her glass of blood out of view behind some sewing supplies. ]

Guess I never thought how this place could be a break from a shitty world. I mean, I got a break from my shit finally, but it's not nearly bad as yours. Sorry you got the lame kind of zombies.

[teamfun]

That's good. It's important, having people.

[Subtle like a NINJA there, Jessica. Louis offers her a small smile, a shrug. He doesn't see it as much of a hardship as most do. ]

Honestly, you live with it long enough, you don't really notice it any more. One of those it is what it is things. But hey, still not dead yet so that's gotta be a bonus.

[Just like. Three of his friends. In very quick succession. It's fine. And, because he does MUCH better helping with other people's problems than his own:]

What about you? What's your world like? I mean, kinda shitty, obviously.

[alsoagirl]

[ He just had to say "dead," didn't he? And now he's asking about her world. Goddammit!

Well, may as well get it out. She doesn't want to waste time with someone who's not going to like her, even if she's hitting it off with him pretty well. ]

I mean, it's Earth. "Normal" Earth and all. Only...there's vampires.

[ Aaand here's the kicker! She steels herself, lifting her chin and shrugging so she seems more nonchalant than she feels. ]

Like me.

[Living in a post-apocalyptic zombie world does wonders for widening your horizons. When the dead start getting up and eating people...well, what you thought was previously "impossible" suddenly becomes very much possible. Heck, after R and Nageki, Louis has learned that goes doubly so in Wonderland.

Surprise does cross his face for a moment, but he doesn't book it, and there's certainly no judgement there. More curiosity than anything. ]

For real? Huh, I guess that makes sense. All kinds of different Earths here after all.

[He smiles and offers her a thumbs up. It's fine, he's cool.]

Well, now I can add 'vampire' to the kinds of people I've met here, coolio. I gotta admit, you don't look anything like the vampires in the movies. I think sneaking-into-horror-movies-past-me was very much lied to about the whole vampire deal.

[alsoagirl]

[ Her defenses gradually lower and she relaxes. That wasn't so bad! She pulls her glass of blood back into view, since it's safe now and all. ]

You're not the first person to say that. [ She snorts, thinking of Shawn. ] Most all the ones I've met've been super hot.

[ Granted, she only knew maybe three vampires before coming to Wonderland. Kol and Regis brought that total all the way up to five! ]

Wouldn't be easy to steal blood if we looked all gross, would it?

[ There's a pause. ]

Not that I steal blood.

[ Usually. ]

[teamfun]

[Suddenly what was actually in her glass clicks into place. Huh. Sparkling blood. Weird, but sure okay, why not.]

Yeah, that makes sense. What with the whole damsels in flowy dresses and stuff. And that's good to know- the not stealing blood part. What do you do? Get it from the closet?

[Does the closet even give blood? It's mystery. ]

[ She laughs. After Shawn had told her similar things, she'd decided to go looking for some of these old, "creepy" movies. Needless to say, she ended up laughing so hard she got kicked out of the library. Humans were so weird when it came to vampires.

She'd know. She's an expert. ]

Yeah, pretty much just the closets, but sometimes I get a person cool enough to let me bite 'em. [ This time, her laughter's a bit weak. ] That's once in a blue moon these days, though...

[ And she hated it. ]

Well, that's mean. So long as it's not a fatal thing, it'd be just like donating blood to a blood drive, right? Only probably more...bitey. Is it bitey? I don't know how this works, just slap me if I end up being inadvertently Vampire Racist.

[He doesn't want to insult a new friend, no sir.]

I wish I could help, but my blood comes with a super-duper fun lashing of whatever the holy hell makes us turn when we die. Whatever it is, I don't think anyone wants that in their system, only bad things doth lie there.

[Also Clem would probably kill him. ]
