Who: Jamie Fraser + ALL Where: Around Wonderland When: Early December Rating: PG-13 (will edit if needed) Summary: Old man Jamie returns to Wonderland, wiser and with questionable hair. The Story:
Naoki has only ridden a horse once in his life, and he's still not sure about them. Or, more accurately, he's still kind of afraid of them. Despite being as powerful as he is--he's pretty sure he could lift a horse if he had to--they still put him on edge.
But the best way to conquer fear is to face it, right? So he's made his way out to the stables. That seems tame enough. He doesn't have to ride one of the horses, after all. He can just...try to pet it. That shouldn't be too difficult.
He's a little dismayed to see someone else is already there when he arrives, and he pauses in the doorway, debating whether or not he should duck back out. After a couple seconds of waffling, he steps inside. He doesn't recognize Jamie, and hopes that the markings and the glowing and everything else won't startle him.
Jamie's spending some time just grooming the horses, speaking gently to one as he brushes it. When he notices someone joining him, he pauses what he's doing and looks up, smiling softly and shaking his head.
"I welcome the company. Have ye much experience with horses?"
He nods to the horse he's been tending. "This is a fine horse. Good temperament. She may be willin' to let ye ride her."
But just for the moment at hand, she's enjoying being brushed and he doesn't want to interrupt that, so he holds out the brush. "Here, if ye'd like," Jamie offers it to the young man. "Brushing a horse is good for them and for you."
Naoki hesitates, then reaches and moves closer to take the brush. Being this close to a horse is still slightly nerve-wracking, but he starts to brush her, a little too gently.
"I guess that's true. I'm still getting used to them." He makes a face, his strokes with the brush gaining some confidence. "Not sure I ever will."

Naoki rubs at the back of his neck a bit sheepishly.
"I rode one once. Someone showed me how to...get it ready. Whatever you call that."
